Richard and Ben work on my father’s garden regularly and I am always very happy with their work. They have just finished working on his hedging giving it a much needed facelift and it now looks excellent having been cut back and given much needed support. Richard discussed every detail and quoted before any work was completed. I would definitely recommend him and his services to anyone.

First time I've used Richard Elphee's services and am most impressed. After checking fundamentals of what I wanted done, he recommended actions including significant work to cut back a Goat Willow and trim hedges to an agreed height. He and his colleague spent most of the day in our garden in the pouring rain, cleared up all the waste and checked I was happy as the job progressed. First class.

Aylwin created a beautiful, dreamy cottage garden for us and we can’t thank him enough - it’s like a scaled-up version of a Chelsea Garden Show display. We’re so proud of it and everyone loves it. His knowledge of design (and plants, colour, and what plants would thrive) and what suits and looks high-end is outstanding. Without wishing to sound transactional it’s made such a difference to our house value too. He took everything we asked for on-board and worked with us on details when we wanted it. I've worked with Aylwin over the past 18 months. We'd not long moved into a house with a garden that was best described as a 'blank canvas'. Aylwin worked with my wife and me to develop an initial detailed layout for the garden, prepared detailed planting plans for the various areas of the garden, purchased the plants and then planted them. He's now helping me on an ad hoc basis to manage the garden, my gardening skills being sadly lacking. I can't speak highly enough of the work that Aylwin has done for us. We now have a wonderful garden that we absolutely love and find easy to maintain.

Review of Beyond the Borders Garden Design, Alton, Hampshire. Excellent design work at a fair price. Aylwin is very approachable and knowledgeable about all aspects of landscaping. Our brief had several constraints including an old concrete rainwater collection system, various different levels, and plants to conserve . Aylwin took on board our requirements and produced a design using clay pavers which managed to draw everything together and complement the garden and house.

Very pleased with the work done by Matt and his team at Holybourne Garden Services. They dug up a brick paver patio, a couple of flower beds, and dismantled an old greenhouse. All replaced with a nice new extended patio, to include a ramp up to the log cabin where I keep my lawn tractor. Also built a new greenhouse and a smaller flower bed. They were all hard-working, tidy and courteous, and Matt kept me fully informed and made sure I was happy with progress at all stages.

Matt has just finished replacing our old garden fence. He has done a brilliant job and if we need any other jobs would use his services again.

Jack & his team worked with us to firm up a clear scope of work for a difficult driveway and parking area project from our initial plans. The work was done to a high standard and we found him very easy to work with when any issues arose. We hired his team again for a refurbishment of our compost area and the construction of an access path about 18 months later and we had the same good experience. We have no hesitation recommending him for garden and driveway projects.

Jack, ably assisted by Darrell, did an excellent job making a patio and steps in my awkwardly sloping garden. They also levelled and turfed a scruffy raised border. Very professional, hard-working, punctual and helpful. Highly recommended.

I needed a gardener for regular maintenance, after some dreamers on price, the usual unreliable newer companies, I was recommended Jack and his team. They are reliable, helpful, efficient, polite, turned up on time and did a thorough job, really happy with it. Two nice lads and they even did a Saturday morning as that was the only time I was free. Can’t recommend them enough.
