Wonderful village pub! Always stop here when visiting family nearby. Food, service, and atmosphere are outstanding! Very dog friendly, too!

Great food and really friendly service!! Beautiful location with great walks and welcome fire to come into! Need some new beers in unfortunately only have st Austell on tap and no local beers which is a real shame if just wanting a nice drink at a pub

Called in for a pint on the way back from Wrington. Although it’s a lovely pub with new owners it was sadly quiet, maybe another sign of the times. Can’t comment on the rooms as I didn’t stay there.
One unusual thing it does have is a stream running through the pub which is nice to see. Beer prices were reasonable, didn’t eat there so also cannot comment on the food Well worth a visit for a few days stay for some peace n quiet of a base to explore the area. So enjoy and have fun!

We were looking for somehere for lunch after a morning at Compton Abbas. And came across this delightful pub by accident. Beautiful location; the building has a stream running through it and is situated in a small village.

The staff were very friendly and efficient but oh wow the food was incredible! I had roast loin of pork, another in my party had roast beef. We all agreed it was the best roast dinner we had eaten in Dorset. Absolutely delicious, even served with home made apple sauce!

I would definitely recommend this place. We ate inside but they have a lovely garden too.
