Such a great dentist! I can honestly say I’ve never had such a thorough check up as I’ve had with Jay he really does love his job it’s clear to see! Also the hygienist is amazing and also had a consultation with Will Shaw today about veneers and he’s super knowledgeable and I feel like he really took on board and understood exactly what I’m looking to achieve with my teeth. Would recommend to anyone!

We were very highly recommended to Ancells Farm Dental Clinic and I’m so grateful for the recommendation. Dr Will Shaw is exceptional, so many levels above any experience I’ve ever had before. Their calm and kind manner along with knowing you are in the very best of hands is everything you could wish for, I really couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

A very relaxed check up appointment with Will. He is very easy going and creates a comfortable atmosphere in the surgery. The receptionist and Dental Nurse were also very friendly. 10 January 2025 A hygienist appointment with Nicole today. She is always so welcoming and friendly. She was very thorough and gentle as always with her treatment. Thank you Nicole. I always receive a lovely welcome from the reception team as well.

Never a problem with my Dentist Dr Will Shaw, I always receive such good treatment. He puts me at ease. I've been going to Ancells Farm Dentist now for many years. Chloe on reception is very nice. I never worry about attending my 6-monthly appointments. I met Will's colleague Michael a few days ago who seems lovely. I am happy to think that if Will wasn't there I could see Michael. Thank you so much for your expert attention to my teeth over the years.

Had a tooth problem when abroad and contacted Shine to fix on my return. Appointments were prioritised for me and a provisional extraction appointment made - which was subsequently needed. BJ completed the extraction explaining everything and I could not believe how quick and efficiently it all went. I don’t even need pain relief 24hrs later fabulous service.

I have had the most excellent care at Shine Dental in my bridge fitting , Alex has taken a lot of trouble to ensure all aspects are just right , even the visual characteristics of colour and the natural shape of my other teeth have been perfectly matched within a pain free service , thank you so much Alex !!

I first used Watercress Dental for a broken wisdom tooth several years ago (don't eat pork scratchings 3 days before your honeymoon!), when Tom repaired it in time for a holiday and planned for a crown but life got in the way and the "temporary" repair was so good it lasted 3 years until recently, when I started getting hyper-sensitivity in the tooth, making it uncomfortable to eat and even breathing in cold air would set it off. My own fault... I lived with it for a couple of weeks hoping it would go away but now, again due to go away on a big holiday for 3 weeks, I didn't want it to get worse or impact it. I saw Marcello and after a few x-rays it was determined that the previous temporary repair had reached the end of the line and it was time for a full root canal. A week later I saw Fawad for the job but some complications with severe inflammation meant that the job had to be abandoned halfway and the tooth packed with medicine and temporarily refilled again and a week of ibuprofen needed to calm it down enough to finish the job. Yesterday (2 weeks later) the job was completed and I'm good to go on holiday, pain and sensitivity free. I'd heard nothing but horror stories about wisdom tooth root canal surgery but found completely the opposite with Fawad and the two dental nurses who assisted him. Even throughout the complications while in the chair he was super calm and surprisingly informative, answering my questions and telling me what he was doing, why, and the expected effects/problems it would solve, while checking in that I was alright throughout. I don't generally write reviews of healthcare professionals, but felt compelled to write this as a result of Fawad's patience, expertise and overall nature. I'm sure he would agree that the issue turned out to be much more complicated/long-winded/invasive than initially expected once inside the tooth and yet I left after nearly 2 hours in the chair each time with no pain after the anaesthetic wore off and on both occasions I went from his chair back to my office chair and cracked on with my day as normal.

Professional and thorough treatment received during my recent hygienist appointment. Grateful to receive advice regarding improving and maintaining dental health. Only negative comment would be that I noticed the hygienist assistant didn’t wash her hands before putting gloves on but hopefully this was a ‘one off’ occurrence.

Dr Laura Hills @Watercress Dental is really lovely and extremely patient. My visits to the dentist are very easy and not unpleasant at all. I would certainly recommend Laura Hills if you want a lovely confident, capable and caring dentist.

The best dental clinic i have been to so far. Had some horrendous experiences with dentists in the past but these ladies and gents put you to ease straight away. Iv had 3 appointments so far in 2025 and have walked away each time feeling happy and better equipped with knowledge about dental care. Every single one of them has a great sense of humour, explain things in a very simple and easy to understand manner and provide very detailed instructions in how i can better care for my teeth. I think the post appointment emails from the Dentists are a great touch to remind you of the things you need to do to keep your teeth in a healthy condition. Yes it can be a bit pricey, but its worth every penny given the world class service you receive. I no longer fear going to the dentists and dare i say it...but Dr Farzad, Dr Rashid, Dr Samantha actually make dental care sound fun and not a chore! 😅 Always a pleasure talking to Lucie before and after appointments too! I stumbled across them by accident after i suffered an injury and needed urgent dental treatment, but im so pleased i did. For once, Google did not let me down!

I was extremely impressed by everyone at the practice from Lucy on reception, to Sam the hygienist and Dr Rashid the dentist - everyone was professional, thorough and very kind and caring. I feel very confident in my treatment plan - they made a anxiety creating experience very easy to deal with.

Completed my Invisalign journey with Dr Farzad. So happy with the results. Dr Farzad is very friendly, knowledgable, professional and great at what he does and all the ladies he has assist him are lovely and help care for you on every visit also. Would high recommend Dr Farzad and the team at time dental.

I've been a member at Time Dental for a few years and cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are lovely, considerate and friendly, always trying to make sure I have the best experience. I book my appointments 6 months in advance and always get text reminders to let me know so I don't miss them. Even though I'm moving further away from Time Dental, I won't be changing practise any time soon! 10/10 recommendation!

CMC fitted a solar panel array and battery to our house. The work was performed to a very high standard. Cabling was ducted, and the routes were made as inconspicuous as possible. The technicians were courteous and polite, and took time to understand where we wants the location of the battery and cabling. They used high quality products and completed the work effectively. We have had absolutely no need to call the company to esnag the installation. Very satisfied with our choice.

It’s hard to find really good food in and around Alton. We visited on Sunday and I must say absolutely fantastic. The food not only looked fantastic but cooked to perfection. It’s not often my lady is impressed with the vegetation options available and she really enjoyed all her food. We both had three courses and each one perfect. I did get a chance to have a chat with the chef who clearly has artistic flair and Cooke’s a great meal. All the staff were lovely and it’s a nice pub with a great garden area. It’s nice to find another place near to Alton that will go in the mix when we want a night out.

Lunch out with an old friend after a funeral at the local church. The lovely girl behind the bar lifted our moods with her smile and friendly chat. We chose bacon and Brie ciabatta with a side of home cooked chips from the lunchtime menu. The Brie was thick and the bacon was lovely, thick slices and very generous in the portions too. The pub itself is modern and welcoming but still retaining the country pub effect. Would highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

OK stayed here on our way to the South East. Normally stay somewhere else but we thought a change is always good. Now the rooms are very good. Shower, hot water all very good. Service from the staff excellent. Breakfast not bad at all. Now missed the Sunday lunch so we had just pizza. Its OK but could be better. Next time we'll get there for lunch time. Worth the stop.

This is a lovely place to stay, the rooms are cozy, welcoming and you feel like you're at home but in the best way. We were really welcomed in and accommodated well. We had the pleasure of having breakfast here, with everything being delicious and we got really generous portion sizes. There was also a dog hall of fame. I would come back here again!

If you are thinking about eating here consider this your sign to book and go immediately! Tonight my husband, daughter and I visited for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! We shared a pork belly and a halloumi starter. Now when I tell you the pork belly was one of the most amazing things I've eaten that's the understatement of the century it was insanely good! The halloumi was good too but the pork belly was just sheer perfection! Having finished our starters we were excited for our main course. My husband had the full rack of ribs and sweet potato fries, I had the half rack of ribs and truffle and parmigiana chips and my daughter had the popcorn chicken and chips (apologies for the half eaten meals pics for the mains but it looked so good we tucked in straight away!). The meat melted off the ribs and tasted soooooo good. My daughter and I finally finished off sharing a sticky toffee pudding and ice cream which was also divine. We've decided that this will now be our go to for any birthday or big celebration! It's more expensive than your every day pub dinner but the food is of a completely different standard way above that of a pub and honestly was worth every single penny! Note to the chef thank you so much for the fantastic food! To the wonderful waitress who kindly poured my daughters lemonade in a gin glass with ice, Strawberries and lemon so it looked like my gin you are a gem. You were so kind and welcoming and are a credit to the restaurant. Heavens kitchen it was an absolute pleasure 🙏🏼 thank you so much and I look forward to our next visit already! Notes for anyone visiting - they have tables outside the back (which have umbrellas to provide shade) as well as inside. There isn't much off road parking opposite but there are plenty of car parks within a short walking distance of the restaurant. The staff were super accommodating for my 8 year old daughter and the kids Menu consists of 4 main options and puddings so plenty of choice although the starters or sides would also work if you wanted to create something different!

We visited for the first time as we were in the area and looking for a main meal. There wasn't many reviews on this pub so we took a punt. First thoughts were great choice of food on the menu, so many delicious meals to choose from and great selection for the kids. The food was fantastic! We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Also they had a bookshelf with games and colouring for the kids which is a great touch. At first we commented how nice it was to have fresh water put on the table without asking, however they added £3 onto the bill at the end for the water which is wrong, considering we didn't realise or get told this. That is the reason for the 4* and not 5. And also the fact dogs are allowed and a breed I am severely allergic to was sat on the table next to us, so we did have to hurry our food down to leave. Also we did say thank you and bye to the (what I assume is the landlady) and we were ignored.

We held a wake here and were really impressed. The buffet food was lovely, everyone was very helpful and the venue was a great place for guests to relax and mingle. The pub garden was also lovely on a rare sunny day in March.

We stopped for lunch in this pleasant village from our walk of the local hills. A muddy day but staff were ok with us keeping our boots on! Large bar with two adjacent dining rooms and lots of original features. Just two cask ales on offer the day we visited...both sampled and were in excellent condition and well served by friendly staff. Food was excellent and delivered promptly. Prices typical of the area. Worth coming back ... Perhaps when it's less muddy.

We booked a table last minute and arrived for dinner as a group of 4. The service was great, good absolutely delicious, would 100% come back. There's a really good vegetarian selection on the menu! Very generous portions.
