I have recently had a bespoke garden created by Urban Earth. The work consisted of installing a large patio and building a rockery with a retaining wall and steps on a grass covered, steeply sloping back garden.

I paid extra to have Urban Earth design the entire project, money well spent as the ideas generated by Jacob proved to be essential in producing a very well-constructed and balanced garden. He was also on hand to advise as the work progressed.

The work was undertaken by one of Urban Earths dedicated teams, who remain on site until the project is finished. I was able to observe the work as it progressed and was truly impressed with the quality of the team’s workmanship.

Nothing was too much trouble to achieve a very high quality of finish. The attention to detail, double checking measurements, the regular use of spirit levels and the ability to create an eye pleasing design. The team led by a master craftsman known as “H”, supported by equally skilled workers, worked tirelessly from beginning to the end.

Before accepting Urban Earth’s quotation for this Project, I looked at other gardening companies to compare costs. Urban Earth’s quote was the highest, but the promise of excellent high quality work, supported by the backup of a multi teamed Company, persuaded me to employ them.

I am so very pleased that I did. You only get what you pay for, and I received the very highest quality of workmanship and support. We did experience problems with the supply of some materials, which was resolved by Urban Earth’s excellent office team. Urban Earth completed a full design through to construction service for us and we couldn't be more happy with the finished product. The work involved demolition and removal of existing brick out houses and walls, regrading and terracing, construction of a Millboard deck from the dining room, laying of natural stone paving on paths, patio and seating areas, laying a new block driveway, laying some paths with decorative stone chippings, preparing planting beds and planting with a selection of plants. Our design brief was expertly interpreted by Jacob and after a few meetings and iterations a final scheme was agreed. The construction team led by George and assisted by Chris and Grant did an outstanding job in turning the design into reality. The quality of workmanship was excellent and they all took great pride in their work. George kept us informed throughout and consulted us as necessary in key decisions. The team was courteous, punctual and kept our property as tidy as possible during the 3 month build. We would have no hesitation in recommending Urban Earth for a full service landscaping project.

We needed to make changes to our garden as the decking was rotting and we couldn’t manage the maintenance of the flower beds and gravel paths. Urban Earth provided us with a design to our specifications of replacing the decking and gravel by suggesting porcelain tiles. They also reduced the raised flower beds in size and bounded with sleepers as well as levelling the lawn reducing our maintenance to a level that we feel we can manage ourselves. We cannot fault the workmanship of James and his team producing a high quality finish. The driveway and front garden were utilised for the storing of equipment and spoils but, once the job was complete everything was left tidy and clean.
