Very polite helpful staff.. excellent food in dining area..good quality plants,a good selection of seasonal products for sale!!

Lovely place to visit , unfortunately the price of food in the cafe has gone up expenetially ! Much too expensive. I ordered a BLT on white bread. Very disappointing meal & poor quality bread and bacon. Side salad very small portion . Had to send it back . I was offered a replacement meal (much better bacon 2nd time around ). Staff very helpful as always but won't be eating there again sadly. Prices just too extortionate 😑 Update :- had hot chocolate and bakewell slice 28/10/2024. Bakewell slice a bit dry . Was much too hot in the cafe 🥵didn't stay long. A bit cooler in the shop part. Paid £7.20 for my meal .

Nice bacon brie sandwich with chips and tea, had coffee and walnut cake, friendly service, would recommend it

Delightful village garden centre with an excellent cafe on site. The tardis come a to mind, in that it’s much bigger on the inside! Have been here twice now for lunch and although service is somewhat slow, the staff are pleasant and the food good. Ample parking and no problem for wheelchair access. Would certainly recommend for a visit if in the area.

A little hidden gem great Sunday lunch might be slightly expensive but they're VERY generous with the size especially the meat . Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff can't recommend it enough.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, lots of food for the money. Atmosphere is friendly, clean and well cared for, a warm coal fire adds to the environment. Great staff, can't do enough to be accommodating and helpful, dog friendly as an added bonus. Well be back. Thank you.... great service and lunch

Very quiet on an early Saturday lunchtime, but the barman was very attentive Nd the food was delicious. Portion sizes are ridiculously big so only managed a main course, but it was very good.

Great food. Friendly service. Fair prices. Great beer!

Could not fault it, really enjoyed my three courses. Very imaginative main course vegetarian, some places just give a main consisting of a few different vegetables but here I had at least ten or more on my plate, presented extremely well on the plate. Will be visiting again.

“Staying in cottage 5, it is very peaceful in countryside but close enough for food from takeaway and shops.”
Rating: 5 / 5
Amazing location, so peaceful and beautiful walks. Incredibly relaxing, we stayed for a few months due to a delayed house move. We saw so much wildlife on our doorstep and the most amazing sunrise and sunsets. The owners were very responsive and dealt with a couple of small issues within hours. Wi-Fi was good quality . Local pubs great too.

Amazing The space for the kids to run and play was great. The pitches are big, we took our large tent and 2 cars parked right in front of the tent. The bonfire was lovely to sit around on an evening. The play area is right in the middle of the field so kids feel like they have freedom as they can run off, but you can always see them from your pitch. They loved seeing the chickens too. The food and cocktail huts are brilliant. Nice food

We went for a short visit with some friends as a breakaway and thoroughly enjoyed our time there! The cottages were nice and clean, the park itself had lots of space for the little ones to play, some nice countryside views and a nice little lake with some ducks (the kids loved to feed them!). The park was ideally located for some walking and a fair bit of cycling around the local roads - and the local pub (the white bear) was perfect for an evening pint! We also managed to hit Doncaster wildlife park which we can highly recommend!!

We purchased a holiday lodge over a year ago and it was the best decision ever made, the peace and tranquility is second to none! To be able to come to the park as and when and watch the wildlife outside your window listening to nothing but the birds singing is just amazing! There is constant investment and improvements being made which makes it even more beautiful, gorgeous views, friendly people and total tranquility what more could we ask for. Lodges are exceptional and of a high standard i 100%recommend the lodges and the tranquility of the park

Stopped for a late lunch. We had steak pie and mashed potatoes, and fish n chips. Freshly cooked food. The batter on the fish was the best I've had, thin, light and crispy. A friendly welcome from the young man behind the bar.

Absolutely love this place! We had our son's christening party here 3 years ago and make sure we come back each year as a treat (we now don't live in the area) and every time the staff are and owners are fantastic. The food is excellent too, the chef knows what they are doing (I had a steak and it came exactly as I ordered it,so they know their medium rare from their medium!) The menu is well priced and offers fantastic portion sizes. They have a good range of traditional menu items with some non traditional options too, if you fancy something different. Overall never had a bad experience here and it's nice to see the managers so active and chatting with everyone, making everyone feel local.

My favourite venue for Sunday lunch. When autumn comes around I love nothing more than a cosy table with family, a good bottle of Red and a fabulous Sunday roast. The Reindeer has a great atmosphere and the service is amazing. So attentive and welcoming. Perfect end to any weekend and highly recommended. Also look out for the daily restaurant deals through the week as these are also superb and its hardly worth switching your cooker on when you can let the reindeer do it for you. You wont be disappointed 🙌

Second stay here. Lovely place. Very good quality room at a very good price. Staff obviously busy, it being Christmas period, but helpful. Room large and warm. Clean and tidy. Great looking location, outside courtyard is soooo Dickensian! Very photogenic. If you're looking for something different and quaint this is the place. Was easy to get to Yorkshire Wildlife park from there, also not far to York city, Sheffield centre etc. Well worth it.

I stayed here for one night as I was working in the area. I telephoned the pub, and they had room availability at a fair price for B&B, so I booked. I arrived around 5.30 pm and the pub was busy. I was seen to quite fast and I ordered an evening meal which was tasty. The room had everything I needed, and I slept well. All the staff were friendly and efficient. I will use this pub again should I be working in the area.

Stayed just the one night after a wake across the road. So the location was perfect for our stay. I loved it. It’s a proper old place, down to earth, a little dated and jaded round the edges, but just my sort of place. The staff were lovely. Leslie and Annabel, who cooked and served our breakfast, were particularly friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they went above and beyond to accommodate a couple of children in our party who were fussy eaters. Our standard double room was basic and a little dated but comfortable. It was clean but required a little maintenance here and there. There are lots of rooms arranged around a central courtyard. Despite being over the bar it was very quiet. We had a comfortable stay and would book here again if we are ever in Epworth in the future.

Great spot in Epworth, right in the center! The accommodations are basic but very nice. Comfy beds and hot showers. Love this place. The staff at the Red Lion in October 2024 were very friendly and made me feel welcome.
