There are two chinese takeaways in Epworth. Mings is by far the better one. Food is cooked really well, brilliant variety of dishes and never been disappointed. You might have to wait a little longer for your food to be delivered during the week, but that's because everything is cooked to order. Just a shame they dont deliver on a weekend. 5 stars

We placed a phone order at half 7 on a Saturday night for 10 people with no menu to go from and both the food and service were fantastic, and very reasonable too. Highly recommend!

One of the only Chinese takeaways that delivers to our area and I'm so glad, the food is always hot and fresh. Portions are great in my opinion. The only thing I would say could be better is the tone of who answers the phone, they always sound completely fed up sadly! However, have ordered many times and will continue to do so. Thank you :-)

We went for the lunchtime menu we just had the 2 courses which was £14 each and it was well worth the money. Food was excellent and the service was great the girl behind the bar couldn't do enough for you . Really nice comfortable place we will definitely go back again but we will go in the evening and eat from the main menu. 👍👍

We have now been twice recently. Just two of us and also a family meal. Both times the food was fabulous, tasty, well presented and we didn’t have to wait long. Also a big plus for their allergen knowledge. Being a coeliac I have to be careful about the food I order. The staff are very clued up and I have no hesitation to eat here again. Prices are very competitive, it has a lovely atmosphere and is just a really nice place to enjoy a meal.

Last night we had a meal at The Ferry Boat Bar and Kitchen, our ‘local’ pub-restaurant. There were eight of us, family and friends, so we got to sample quite a lot of the menu items! It was a lovely sunny evening and we sat outside on the riverbank for our pre dinner drinks. There is a lot of outdoor seating on the river foreshore, the flood bank and in the beer garden which is a bit more sheltered. Children’s play equipment is located on the riverbank too. Our starters were Brie wedges, prawn cocktail, duck spring rolls, salt and pepper squid, and mozzarella sticks. Main courses were fish and chips (of course!), Cajun chicken breast, lasagna, steak and ale pie and pan fried salmon. Desserts were chocolate fudge cake, chocolate brownie and ice cream, chocolate cheesecake, ice cream sundae and sticky toffee pudding. We paid around £40 pp which included wine, beer and soft drinks. We had a great night, thank you to the staff of the Ferry Boat who coped with our needs admirably!!

What a beautiful pub, stunning decor. We went for a meal, arrived early. Welcomed by a lovely young man. The food was great. Good portions, arrived at the table nice and hot. Pudding was lovely They have lovely gardens, too. Shame too Cold Will return Would definitely recommend it.

It is not often we write reviews but in this case, we have to say we are impressed. From the very start, our requirements for a Solar PV system were taken into consideration and where possible incorporated in the final design. The delivery was ahead of schedule and the installation took place in the allotted time. Switch on was faultless. We were away at the time when the installation started. However, we were informed of the daily progress, which we found very reassuring. The handover by the site engineers was great and they answered all our questions in a way we could understand. Throughout, nothing was too much trouble. After handover, we had several questions that we put to the office team. These all received prompt attention. The installation has been operating for about two weeks now and is performing exactly as we were told from the onset. Thank you Richard and your team.

I needed an alteration to my solar PV wiring that was not commonly made. Unlike the first two firms I contacted, R J Coleman immediately understood what I needed and arranged to do it, plus running armoured cable to a shed and installing power and light to the shed, and fixing an unsatisfactory lighting installation from a previous electrician. They arrived when they said they'd arrive and did every part of the job to a very high standard. Throughout, they treated me and my property with thoughtfulness and respect and I have to say that I am delighted with what they did and how they did it. If cabling can be said to be beautiful then this was beautiful!

Had burgler alarms updates undertaken for myself and parents. From 1st meeting with Alan and his colleagues to helping us post installation, the whole experience was fantastic. Definitely recommend this brilliant company for quality, vfm and professionalism.

Flavoured Sausage rolls very good, Big Egg custard was a delight for my wife which I took back to Manchester. Normal sausage rolls used to be excellent from here but they are more pastry than sausage. All in all still a good bakery with visits from cyclists on a daily basis.

Didn't eat but quite busy at 11.45am so suggests good, quality food and service... Did look at menu which was diverse and reasonably priced.. Much more than just a place to buy plants, worth a visit...

Took ages for anyone to serve us, loads of staff, most bickering in the background while we stood waiting to order. Scone was nice but fell to pieces so hard to eat as you were eating crumbs.

Tried here because we couldn't get a table at the Curry Leaf. Well what a surprise! This place in our opinion absolutely tops the Curry Leaf ! The service as soon as we walked in to the moment we left was outstanding, friendly attentive staff. The food ! Well let's say was outstanding! The best I have tasted in a long time! I didn't actually think that the Curry leaf could be beaten, but how wrong was we. This will be our new place to go from now.🥰 Also the price was excellent for the standard of service and the excellent food. Can highly recommend 100% Thank you Khyber

The food was excellent. The waiter that took our order was OK, the waiter that delivered the food...... not a pleasant chap. Seating was not that comfortable, and the decor looked like the restaurant from Del Boy, where he got ripped off with the cheap ornament. Parking was a challenge. No fault of the restaurant, just one to think about. It was reasonably priced, and as I said, the food was good. You got a decent portion. Would I go again 🤔 no, there's other places to try.

Last night we had dinner at the Curry Leaf Epworth with friends. This is a spacious and modern curry house, just to the east of Doncaster, and easily accessible via the M18 and M180. The menu includes lots of chef’s specialities (well worth tasting!), as well as the usual selections. We had poppadoms and pickles to start followed by the Curry Leaf platter (chicken tikka, onion bhaji and sheek kebabs, and spicy sea bass starters. We chose chicken korah, butter chicken and lamb bhuna as main courses served with vegetable rice and garlic naan. There’s a good selection of desserts, but we didn’t have room so we finished with coffee. A really great meal (as always) and reasonable prices - starters are £4.50 to £8, and main course around £9 to £15. There is a good selection of beer, wine and cocktails, and lots of alcohol-free option also - something for everyone!

Had a fantastic evening at Curry Leaf tonight. It was very busy when we arrived but service all night was great with friendly and helpful staff. The food was all delicious and I love the wide range of choice for specials that are out of the ordinary. Good portion sizes and good price as well.

Great ole fashioned pub. Food only served two Sundays a month. Beef, lamb,pork cooked over hot coals. Pork is to die for. Micro brewery Dark Tribe brewed on site.

Very nice pub with own brewery located on the east bank of the river Trent, there is loads of seating outside overlooking the river.. Joe is the landlord and the brewer (very friendly). Unsurprisingly its in the 2022 Good Beer guide. Locals will certainly know of this pub and I'm glad I found it. Very recommended.

Called in for a quick drink at 4pm while out having an afternoon bicycle ride. We were well received and there was a log burner heating the bar area. The packet of crisps and pork scratchings were washed down with a SanMiguel 00 and half a Thatchers. Booked in for a Sunday Roast on the 8th and went on our merry way.
