I had the huge pleasure of hosting my 60th birthday event at Parks Edge Bar and Kitchen in Herne Hill on 30/11/24 We are regulars to the restaurant but this was our first time having a private event there. From the outset of liaising with Cece to the end of the evening itself, nothing was too much trouble and everything from the food and the drinks to the ambiance was on point! The amount of work that Cece, Barry and everyone at Parks Edge put in to my birthday event was clear to see in their attentiveness to my party goers and their fine attention to detail. Anyone who is seeking a venue to hire for a private event with fine food, an amazing wine and cocktail collection and everything in between should definitely check out Parks Edge. A+++

Came here for brunch and really enjoyed the dish — the Caribbean twist on a normal brunch dish. Only wished they had a brunch menu option where you could have two dishes and one drink. The edge is where I was mentally and emotionally when I decided to just stop and take a moment for myself. I needed sustenance and Park’s Edge is the place that centred me as soon as I came through the beautiful bespoke doors. I was met by ambient lighting, beautiful welcoming decor and very friendly staff! The atmosphere is very welcoming but I had to take away as home was beckoning and my belly was in need of a good meal! Directly opposite Brockwell Park. Food was delicious and well cooked by amazing chef. Rum punch was superb and very very well put together in my sippy cup! The management was very professional and the whole experience was therapeutic for me. Went home and was instantly cheered up by eating and drinking what I can only say was divine interventional dining…Inspired to see another day in this crumbly world - when food is a challenge life can be difficult to navigate but Park’s Edge took me off the edge last night and reminded me just how precious and special life is when we step out, eat out, dine out and treat oneself!!! Thank you….very much for taking the time to cater for me and ensure I was in a safe space to be heard and served! I shall certainly be back when I am in a better mood!

Celebrated our anniversary here and had a wonderful time! They really went above and beyond to make the night special for us. Thank you to all the staff! Food was delicious and presented very well. Would highly recommend the gorgonzola tart, chicken wings, sea bass and oxtail ravioli. Caramel cheesecake was amazing as well! We enjoyed all our cocktails too. The honey margarita (originally a mocktail but we asked them to add tequila which was *chefs kiss*), spicy martini, and purple rain were 10/10. Service was smooth and friendly. The restaurant had a relaxing atmosphere and pretty decor. Would definitely dine again!

I recently visited FRSSHH Coffee and Juice Bar and was absolutely blown away by the flavors! I tried one of their juices and the blueberry matcha, and both were incredibly fresh and delicious. You can really taste the quality and care in each made-to-order drink. The baristas are also lovely, making the experience even better. Compared to the big brands in town, they offer much better quality and value. If you’re in the area, this place is a must-try!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, instantly making me feel at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, helping me choose the perfect brew from their wide selection of coffees. I had the yummiest iced Spanish matcha latte today, made by a lovely young lady with curly hair—it was her first day training(8/10/24). It was absolutely delicious! I usually get my matcha from Blank Street, but after today, I’ll definitely be coming here more often. Keep up the great work, darling!

Unassuming, low key kind of place I just popped into in passing. I had a very delicious toasted panino type sandwich. Really fresh ingredients and nicely done using decent olive oil on the salad. Much nicer than a chain and much better value than a posh cafe.

Visited Macatia with a group of friends and loved it! The interior is great and it’s in an ideal location. I had a smoothie and cinnamon roll which were both 10/10. Staff were very friendly and have great latte art skills! Will be visiting again soon.

I called Sean from PJ electrics recently and he was polite and courteous and offered to provide a free quote. Ryan came along and confirmed the job. Ryan and John were prompt, polite and respectful - I even handed them the keys so they could let themselves in/out. The work was speedy, done to an excellent standard and they left my shed spotless! I am 100% pleased with this work - you should try this company - they have “good old-fashioned” values (well mannered, great work ethic and polite) you won’t be disappointed!

They came to site on an agreed date & time, quoted with a quick turn around and have been professional from start to finish. Excellent high quality coffee in the heart of West Norwood serving up a classic (Volcano full steam) espresso & doing it really well. Noticed v60 in the back but didn't ask. Think there was a single origin there too. Just what was needed in SE27 & RIGHT next to station so there's no excuse! Barista super friendly with small but quaint lay out. Also selling v cool ceramics.

I've been going here for years since I was a teenager, a fab spot to catch up with the girls, weekly, bi monthly, etc, a bit s@x in the city style. Staff are lovely and friendly and always accommodating. Food is brilliant, with good portion sizes also. No pics sadly, as my tummy got there before my phone did, lol. Great cafe, deffo try it out👍🏽

Wow, what a fabulous place! First time there as was in the area and so glad I found this cafe. Very friendly, clean & an extensive menu to suit all. We had the liver & bacon - it was outstanding and well worth travelling for! Busy place - obvious that people know this is the place to get decent fresh food - but lots of seating to cater for their lunchtime crowd. Will be back 😁 Delicious, honest food.

I'd recommend Jani Electrical. We needed a cable repaired after it was damaged by a contractor. Even though this was a relatively small job, Jani responded to my email quickly, gave a quote on the basis of a photo that I sent him and completed the repair the same evening, even looking at another socket for us while he was here. He was friendly, polite and professional and I will definitely use him again the next time we have an electrical job that needs doing.
