Really impressed with the vets at Hartshorne. At other surgeries my cat is a terror and turns feral. A lion would be better behaved. But at Hartshorne vets they must put a spell on him. He's so calm and relaxed with the staff. I highly recommend this surgery if your cat is troublesome at the vets as they have worked wonders with mine.

We have been with them a few years and recently had cause for concern with 2 of our dogs both in the same week (unrelated problems) Daisy was poorly with a virus and looked after by Geoff. Dora by Will. Both Vets highly professional and very caring. Thank you Hartshorne Vets. 😊

Great staff caring and compassionate. Cared for our Yorkshire terrier and made her comfortable and happy for the last 3 years of her life…the knowledge and care is second to non! Geoff came to our home when it was time to let her go, it was an already awful day but made easier by the fact she wasn’t stressed and could fall asleep in in her own home surrounded by love. We are eternally grateful

Time and again the vets have have performed miracles with our dogs. They are so kind and really care. Some of the miracles have been pretty major and they really understand what you are going through and look after you too. Thank you Bakewell vets you are all terrific.

We were staying at the nearby campsite when my dog, Zeus, needed urgent care over the bank holiday weekend. I was petrified because of the type of care that was needed and also worried about the bill over the bank holiday, but Douglas and everyone at the practice were just incredible and you can tell they love animals. I rave to everyone about how amazing the staff were and I only wish they were closer to us at home because I’d love to have them as our everyday vets. Zeus needed to go back over the 3 days we were away and I was so reassured throughout the whole process. Douglas even called on the Saturday night to make sure he was doing ok. Just so appreciative of how well Zeus was looked after and I can’t recommend enough x

Our Red Setter Chilli was taken ill on Christmas day whilst we were on holiday. We were seen by Douglas Ross. I was very grateful for the very caring service we received and would like to say she has recovered and is back to herself. Unfortunately we had to make the difficult decision to send our old terrier over the rainbow bridge. The staff were incredibly kind and compassionate and gave us as much time as we needed both before and after she went. I know money shouldn't come into it but unfortunately it does, and the bill we received was so much more reasonable than what you would expect from some of the larger chain vets. We live over 40 mins away but will always be taking our dogs there as the service is worth the distance!

Staff are amazing offered for our puppy to attend once a month to have play time and to meet other dogs so she doesn’t just see the vets as a negative place.

Finally, a decent veterinary practise reachable from Aldridge. Tidy, large reception with an area sectioned off for cats. Great parking too. I was happy with the care and attention the vet had with my injured Moggy. I’ll be using this one if I need to in the future.

I did want to write this review sooner but I struggled due to the loss of my dog Rubble, I had the worse day ever with my dog being put to sleep which really broke my heart. Id just like to say a massive thankyou to all of the staff at Warren House for there support with me whilst going through such a horrendous time with my boy. They was so nice and friendly when ever I called up or popped back in, it's nice to have people around you at a tragic time

What can I say… I have been truly blown away by this business. Such kind staff! All of you! Since my Kiah starting needing pain killers about 4 months ago you’ve been so supportive throughout. Attention to detail until the very sad but yet peaceful end of her life.❤️ Your kindness and empathy was genuine…. Kind and helpful team that care for your animals and you! Our two cats don’t travel well and I arrived flustered after both had accidents in their carriers on the drive to our appointment. The team were so kind and helped me carry the cats, even whisking them away to clean them up which I was so grateful for. Thank you!

Just brought my dog, Lottie, to the surgery as she’d eaten a large homemade chocolate chip cookie. The staff were wonderful particularly Alison, the receptionist, who made me a cup of tea whilst I waited for Lottie to be treated. The vet was kind, reassuring and clearly loves her work. Lottie is tired but will be fine after she’s had a good sleep. I cannot recommend this veterinary practice highly enough, thank you! X

Believe it or not this big baby is probably the most fear reactive/fear aggressive dog I've ever come across. But I can't actually praise vet nurse Chloe enough for going above and beyond to help us make sure she is on top of her health checks and vaccines etc. Her compassion and knowledge and how she advocated for Storm and for us is just second to none and I'm forever grateful, overdale - never ever let her leave!!! Thank you so much!!

When you take on a rescue dog that has had a tragic start in life, there is a possibility that they will come with medical issues. My rescue hound Loki being one of them. I have had Loki for two years, and with the vets help and experience in diagnosing his conditions, he is living his best life. I find that the reception staff nurses and vets are all friendly and will do everything they can to help. Questions are answered fully without the use of medical descriptions so you understand what is wrong with your companion and the necessary treatments available / costs involved. There is a large car park, and the surgery is wheelchair friendly

Not registered at this vets but had a small emergency my dog had torn his dew claw which was hanging off, a little bloody and he was catching it. I rang Thompson vets at 1pm and they got him booked in and he was all sorted by 3pm . Staff lovely too very friendly and caring. Would highly recommend from my appointment we had. Very much appreciated also

My 3 cats are my life! Lovely friendly staff who always make me feel welcome especially as an anxious person! I went in as an emergency thinking my kitten Nala had swallowed something as i felt a lump and she was hard swallowing, luckily all was fine just a play fight wound with tango mango💀and the lovely vet Ade didn’t even charge me as i think she knows i’m an anxious cat mom!😂 Dealing with my animals alone for the first time since losing my mum has been tough so receiving such kindness did more than you’ll ever know. Thankyou for all you do you’re all great!🫶🏽❤️

Really grateful & impressed by the knowledge, support, kindness & compassion shown by this practice & all the staff including John Thompson, Dan Harding & Harriet Peck. I can only highly recommend their service, they are an excellent & genuinely caring team, from reception staff to the vets. The fees are reasonable too. I feel that my pets are in safe, caring & capable hands. We've moved from another vets & this practice seems much better & is well worth the longer journey.

Amazing staff, so understanding a d supportive. Have been taking our dogs here for years and goes without saying that they are in great hands. Never too much trouble to help and empathetic. Would recommend to anyone and speak from the heart without hesitation highly about them compassion at both practices. This was the first time we had seen vet Monica. My dog didn't want to go into the examination room, so as the waiting room was empty Monica examined him there, so not to cause him unnecessary stress. She was very friendly, answered our questions. A lovely person.

I have a very nervous rescue and have recently attended this vets. The vet, staff and practice were all amazing! They took extra care and made it our best experience yet at a vets. Having a nervous cat and treating him so well, very informative and offer good plans too.

This is an excellent vets the staff are friendly and helpful and can't do enough to help you from the receptionist to the vets they all treat you and your pet with love, respect, care and dignity , I've had the most dealings with Peregrine Bowden that did an amazing job operating on my little princesses eye and later with Sarah Jones who is amazing at her job she is so lovely and nice and caring these people really don't get nowhere near the thanks and appreciation that they all deserve an excellent practice ❤️❤️😊😊 pic of my princess Rosie

I have one dog and one cat registered with blue cross and my dog has to visit monthly, the reception staff know his character and temperament and are always aware of his quirkiness. He sees different students monthly for a lifelong condition, they discuss any new treatments with myself and the vet on duty would confirm the plan. Overall the care they give is exceptional and I always try to give a bit back.
