I would have no hesitation in recommending Greenaway Electrical. Tim, and Alfie, have done a fantastic job for us with a whole range of repairs. I have been very grateful for the way Tim has clearly explained what needs doing, for the efficient way the work has been done and the reasonable prices charged.

Tim was excellent from start to finish. He did a site visit & clearly identified how long the job would take and the cost involved. He took the time to discuss different options to better suit our needs & was clean & tidy throughout the whole job. Can’t recommend Greenaway Electrical enough. Thank you again Tim.

Lovely spot where you can get silly and serious drinks. We love exploring their changing specials menu; from peppermint hot chocolate, London fog tea inspired drink to cheeky boozy numbers. You can also get a banging classic flat white. Definitely worth treating yourself to a cookie to dunk in too.

Just had a delicious, high quality Egyptian meal here at a very reasonable price! We had the ful and fattah- both were very flavorful with generous portion sizes. The staff (perhaps the owner?) and the space were really warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

This little restaurant is one of the best I've come across this year. The people are genuine and friendly, and you can trust the owner to deliver authentic and delicious Egyptian food. I tried all sorts of dishes, and every single one was faultless in terms of taste. The food is truly amazing and delicious – I never expected such high quality. From the bottom of my heart, I'd give it 5 stars and hope to return soon. Thank you, Shreen and Sharif, for making us so happy today. We had a brilliant time!

Delicious fresh food. I tried the Fata chicken, tasted amazing. The rice was made in away you can taste that it is well cooked, not just streamed rice. I don't know what is exactly the sauce they put on the rice but it was amazing. The crispy bread inside the rice was a bonus. The chicken was awesome too The fact that is a family business make you feel that food made with love

What a great little place this is! We were struggling to find some vegan food at 5pm on a Monday in Margate and then came across this place. I had the Egyptian Koushary which was absolutely delicious and so filling, just what I needed. My partner had the Falafel with VG cheese, pitta bread, salad and Tahini and they really enjoyed it. There was about 4 tables outside and probably 8 (?) inside. The service was really quick (although they weren't that busy) and really welcoming. Will definitely visit again when next in Margate.

Pomus Margate

Rating: 5 (147) Price Level:

A sensational addition to Margate! I recently had an exceptional dining experience at Pomus in Margate. The bream ceviche was a stroke of genius, balancing freshness and flavour perfectly. The focaccia was a standout, delightfully soft with a perfect crust, paired with the most delicious anchovy butter. Pairing our meal with a bottle of Chapel Down Bacchus elevated the experience, adding a crisp and refreshing note. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommended for anyone seeking great food and great service.

The attention to detail is clear to see throughout. We’ll be back for sure.

Lovely service , beautiful food, very chilled atmosphere. The perfect way I like to dine out. We loved the food especially the beetroot tart….I could live on those ! The pear terrine was perfect for me as it wasn’t too sweet. Everywhere needs a Pomus! Looking forward to returning on our next visit to the Kent coast.

We read an online review and so glad we made the journey to visit. Not easy to find as off the sea front but absolutely worth making an effort. Staff were welcoming and friendly. We booked a counter seat as like to watch the food being prepared and definitely the best seats. Each dish served by the chef who took time to explain the food. Every dish was a winner - deep fried chicken with togarashi (so good would have been happy to pay more for), smoked duck, cured bream and potatoes with shelled broad beans and goats cheese. Everything that left the pass looked so good we wish we had ordered. Talked into sharing the strawberry pavlova with fig oil for dessert and it was the perfect end to a perfect meal. Thank you, just wish we lived a little closer.

Angela's

21 The Parade, Margate CT9 1EX, UK | Seafood Restaurant
P: 01843 319978

Rating: 4.8 (615) Price Level:

A small but cosy restaurant. Excellent and fresh seafood, we ordered scallops and pumpkin soup as starters, the scallops were cooked just well with pumpkin potatoes mashed at the bottom. The pumpkin soup is rich in flavour. Perhaps is Monday, there was limited choices for the main, we have the turbot and skate, both are incredible delicious.

If you love fish, like I do, then you will love Angela's. An ever-changing and varied choice of sea food based meals that are very tasty. There were a single vegetarian and vegan option for starter and main which were very good also. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as well as being extremely attentive.

WOW!! We are visiting for the weekend and knew we had to visit Angela's. With our expectations high, we were still blown away!! The mackerel with kohlrabi and scallops were AMAZING, apple cider sorbet FANTASTIC, and every drink - wine, soft, and coffee - was a delight. Not only was the food and drink incredibly fresh, delicious, high quality, perfectly prepared and creatively devised - the service was BEYOND 10/10. We felt so at home and welcomed. We came in 30 Nov @ 2.30pm - a very special shout out to both waiters who served our table and the chefs, for being incredibly accommodating of a gluten + dairy intolerance - altering the dishes we ordered, explaining super clearly the menu and allergens, and the chefs even going the extra mile to serve us a delicious dessert. I have never been accommodated for intolerance so kindly, professionally, and gracefully - this was just truly fantastic. We will be back!!!!

We had a great family meal and few drinks at the Med in Margate. We were strolling through for a decent place on a weekend and decided to go here. We ordered number of things including pizza, flatbread, fish and chips, etc. and few beers for the order. The food was spot on, well seasoned and served nice and hot. The drinks were also served chilled, I really enjoyed them while sitting out in the sun. Biggest thanks to their staff members. They ensured that guests felt welcomed and were paying right attention to the needs of all the tables. I would definitely go there if I visit Margate again. All the best guys.

The Good Egg Neighbourhood Restaurant Margate

Staffs were extremely polite & friendly. Reservations are highly recommenced! Here’s what we got to share, Garlic Pita, thick, chewy pita which was good for dipping. Cornbread, zhoug + honey butter, interesting! Tasted like cake! Whipped feta, spiced stone fruit jam, almond. It was delicious! Salt Beef Pita, 10/10!! The best thing we’ve ordered today. Fish Hash, did not enjoy this on my first bite, as flavours were new to me but enjoyed this after having more, it got me craving for it!

The Good Egg was recommended to me, and it didn’t disappoint. My wife and I had brunch, and I ordered the Salt Beef pita which was really very good. Strong flavour out the salt beef, with mustard and a pickled cabbage that cut through the richness of the beef and (added) egg. I had a long black coffee that was good quality. My wife had the bacon and Date pita, which she enjoyed but thought the date jam made it a little too sweet. Service was good if a little slow (it wasn’t very busy). I will definitely be back!

I had the aubergine pitta with jammy eggs and the potatoes with amba mayonnaise. The flavours of the pitta were an explosion in my mouth. Loved the dill cucumbers, candied tomatoes and the pickled cabbage. The potatoes were the best I've had this year. The cherry soda was not bad but wished I had ordered a coffee instead as it looked so good. It would have got a 5* review had the eggs actually been 'jammy'. Unfortunately they were hard boiled. But still incredible tasting.
