Popped in for food but kitchen out for maintenance. The staff were very friendly and we were made to feel at home. We were recommended an Indian Restaurant in the village (we would also recommend). Thank you to Charmaine for tracking me down and returning the credit card I’d left on the table.

Just had one of the finest Sunday roasts ! My husband had the beef and I the lamb both with gravy which was made in heaven!!! The staff were extremely friendly and also welcomed my puppy. ! Can’t get much better than this . Thank you

Excellent place. This has changed so much in the last 10 years. And for the better too. You can order from the bar or get table service if wanted. The weatherproof outdoor area has massively improved the amount of table space. The food menu is also very good.

My wife had visited the Portobello Inn during the week, Steve the landlord said how good his gravy for Sunday lunch was and how he starts it on Wednesday. so we had to give it a try and man it was good I had the Beef which was superb and my wife had the lamb which was gorgeous and the gravy was heavenly the horseradish put hairs on me eyeballs!! It was rather warm Service was prompt and freindly and the pub was spotless and dog friendly we will be returning in the near future. Over all excellent and highly recommend

What a great surprise this place was! Walked from my friend's house nearby in the lovely sunshine. The pub looked really nice with its flower arrangements. A very warm welcome awaited from the bar staff where we enjoyed a couple of really nice pints of Camden Ale. Decided on freshly made pizzas which arrived pretty quickly and was extremely well made. I had the Hawaiian Hot and my friend had the seafood. The choices on the menu were extensive. What really made it a great couple of hours was the bar and waiting staff. Very attentive and good fun. The pub should be glad that they have them. Thank you.

Adam is super professional and diligent. He and his team re-wired my house and has since done other jobs for me too. Adam offered some great suggestions and advice throughout the rewire and was also very patient with me asking a million questions. Re-wiring is a messy job, but Adam made sure that the house was left as tidy as feasibly possible which I appreciated.

Adam came to re-fit some bathroom lights which weren't working. He carried out the job with minimum fuss and left the area he was working in, spotless. This is my second only review on Google and a follow-up to my first. After a devastating disappointment with installers from my 1st review, I called Simon because he was the only one to inform me that my Smart panel would require a different installation procedure that was also apparently indicated by the manufacturer’s website. He didn’t require any information from the manufacturer. This was based on his thorough research and understanding of the mechanics behind the system. What a breath of fresh air to have a good technician by your side. Needless to say, He agreed to a fixed price after inspecting the mess that was left behind by the previous electricians and performed the following tasks: Repositioned and rewire the unit. Remove the 25mm conduits and replace them with 32mm. Installed an additional fusebox and tidied my consumer unit. I honestly have not met a more a professional person in this line of work. I am very grateful to have your competence and will highly recommend your service.

Honestly the best decision ever! Nina, Kat, Farhad, Sarah and the team have done an amazing work on my teeth. Their attention to detail, patience and care was tremendous. My treatment took a bit longer as I had 1 tooth that wouldn't budge, so they opted for another round of aligners to make sure they were perfect. I think others would have been sick of me by then and booted me out, but this team is so lovely. I always had a really good laugh with them and am really pleased with the results. My orthodontic treatment with Nina and the team at the Sandford was a pleasure from start to finish. I felt reassured and at ease with Nina from my very first consultation. Her knowledge and expertise were immediately apparent, combined with her calming and pleasant manner gave me confidence and faith in the two year process I was embarking upon. Fantastic. I previously had my teeth whitened here, which looks great. I have been visiting Zahra Khan for my Hygiene appointments. She is such a lovely lady, as I have always been frightened when visiting dentists, due to a bad experience ax a child. She explains what she is doing, she has a lovely manner, and at the end gives good advice, which really works. I would highly recommend.

Every six months I visit the wonderful hygienist Karen at the Sandford. Not only does she thoroughly clean my teeth, but over the years she has given me a huge amount of advice about my dental hygiene. I made my first visit yesterday and my friend Gerry Read recommended me to see Milan. From the moment Sarah answered the telephone to book my appointment I was made to feel welcome and at ease. When I arrived yesterday first impressions really do count and all the ladies I saw in reception were welcoming and I was made to feel immediately relaxed and at ease. I was shown in to meet Milan and he examined my broken tooth, took x rays and then explained every option available to me. He was clear and precise and the outcome was to have the tooth removed today and proceed with a bridge. He made me feel very relaxed, as did the assisting nurse and my tooth was removed painlessly and quickly. I look forward to future visits further down the line and will not hesitate to recommend the practice to all my family and friends.

I have been at the HDP for over 50 years under different ownership but for the last 30 years or so I have been seen by Gary Doorman who has excelled and made me very comfortable on each visit. With him now taking a backseat role I have had the pleasure to meet Milan who is continuing to keep the calm on each visit. I have a tooth extraction in the morning. Not something I look forward to but, I feel reassured that Milan will do what’s needed to get us both through to the end.

Niko completed a full re-wire of our 4 bed town house. We had 5 quotes, and were really impressed with the detail and knowledge from Niko. He was great at explaining options and keeping in touch before the work. We moved out and it took 9 days in total. Niko kept us up to date, and where I’d bought the wrong spot lights for the bathroom he was able to advise and we got the right ones. A new circuit board was fitted, and all rooms were rewired with better placing of the sockets and additional sockets. He couldn’t do the whole kitchen without taking it out which we didn’t want, so has placed some very neat trunking with the new wires on top on existing tiles which works well in the short term. Niko kept us up to date with progress throughout, and the house was left very tidy and neat. We would highly recommend, and we’re very pleased with the work. Thank you.

Niko and Arthur were brilliant very professional. Niko called me the day before to arrange time that suited me as it happend to be over the weekend. After hearing I'd gone without electricity he booked me straight in. Big job of rewiring the whole house. They arrived on time, Niko and Arthur went above and beyond insuring I was happy with what was being done. They were polite throughout and best part tided up after themselves.
