We first met Adam about 5 years ago when he rewired an outside awning for us. Since then he has done a couple of jobs for us, the most recent being to change our light switches around the house, and putting a new double socket in our lounge for a new in the wall fire we are buying. With all these jobs, he has been very professional, providing quotes quickly and carrying out the work on time, and in a tidy and efficient manner. We have no hesitation in recommending him. Well done. š

Adam has worked for me before and this time it was at my sister's house. He installed an external outside socket for a new pond pump and the more difficult job of concreting in a Victorian cast iron lamp post, wiring it in to the mains and rewiring it. It has been removed from my late parent's house but was last rewired in the 1970s. It is now wirelessly operated from a mobile as well as a manual kinetic switch. This was a difficult job due to the lampost's considerable weight and required help from two team members as well as a winch. As before Adam's work was first class. He and his team members were friendly, efficient, courteous and prompt. I would definitely recommend Adam for electrical work and particularly unusual external jobs as well a=s whole house rewirings and new consumer units.
Rating: 5 / 5
We have been using Adam for a few years now and he is always prompt at replying and coming to appointments on time. He is so reliable and his work is always perfection. I would most definitely recommend him .

Adam is a fantastic electrician and I have used him many times. We recently needed some extractor fans installed in our bathroom and also in our en-suite shower room. Both rooms previously were not getting enough ventilation. Adam arrived at our house early and did both jobs very efficiently. He installed two extremely powerful extractor fans and the ventilation and air quality is now much better in both rooms. On another occasion he installed a new electric hob and electric cooker replacing our old gas one. Adam did all the electrical wiring necessary in our kitchen after changing over from gas and it all works perfectly. I have had a lot of electricians over the years and this guy really is the best.

What a fantastic find. The food was delicious from starters to dessert. The fillet for mains was particularly good. Bar and waiting staff are really friendly and we even got the chance to meet the chef, who talked us through what he was serving. We had the set meal, which was good value, and a few drinks - there's a lot of local stuff on (we had a local gin and a local ale). I cannot recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be back.
Rating: 5 / 5
I'd been wanting to visit The Stile Bridge for some time; it was with some excitement that I saw how nearby a restaurant in the Michelin guide was. It did not disappoint. Beautifully cooked meat, with the best chips I've ever tasted - well seasoned throughout, crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The pork sirloin was delicious, the beef sirloin moreso. I will be back very eagerly. Lovely service as well, and some nice drinks offerings.

Sometimes, the most unexpected places hold true gems, and this restaurant is a shining example. The food here is simply superb, and it's no surprise that they are featured in the Michelin Guide. Despite the restaurants unassuming exterior, don't let that deter youāthe experience is absolutely worth it. The quality of the dishes and the culinary expertise showcased here far surpasses any initial judgments based on appearances. The staff are also very friendly. Don't miss out on this hidden treasure.

2024 October Review NEW AND UPDATED Back again at the Stile Bridge, with the previous chef who departed 6 months ago, it has been time to try the new menu again. At a glance the new menu has inspirations from Asian cuisine slashed with British classics. A very good choice for all palates of flavours. To start, the house bread and oils, the Focaccia style bread was delicious , crispy, fluffy and tasteful, most perfect bread you could ask for to start. The lamb meatballs, had an Indian inspired taste coated in crispy panko, I actually thought the additional aioli style sauce was not needed. Next up was the boneless chicken wings which was a let down, with its dry flavour, baseless and bland texture it felt like the wing was absolutely battered and butchered to create this flattened pancaked wing. Mains : Chicken salad - chicken was super juicy and tasteful, with a salad which isnāt drenched in dressing, the perfect amount for a main dish, with expedited pickles which were fab, and well seasoned dish. Pork sirloin, juicy, cooked well rather tender as welland had great accompaniments with it, the jus was flavourful and hit the spot. Scallops, cooked well, fresh, and plenty of spark. Overall the Stile Bridge did not disappoint again, will be back, and loved the service. Truly so far still one of my top recommendations for restaurants in Kent. Best for those who actually have an eye for food and an open palate. NOT for your typical boring clientele. 2023 Review - A MUST TRY hidden Resturant in the country side of Kent Food Quality 4.7/5 Presentation 4.5/5 Price 4.6/5 Service 4.7/5 Atmosphere / Ambiance 4.2/5 Stilebridge offers an South American fusion with British cuisine, utilising fresh and local ingredients of Kent and East Sussex. It is a show stopper of a restaurant to visit if you are in Kent. compared to other restaurants within Kent, which serves typical British classics and other delicate British style dishes it is good to see a pub serving a different variety of food from around the world, being a Michelin guide recommendation, the Stilebridge is certainly a place that is well worth on the Michelin guide. The food I would describe it as light South American heavily infused with British twist, this is definitely done to please the pallets of local clientele within Kent which are known for having less adventurous pallets, but as an individual who thrives on flavour, exoticNess and wonder, this may also be the place for you as it is especially for me it is. The octopus and pork belly was fragrance, light and packed full of simplistic flavours, which hit each flavour on the tongue perfectly. Had a small cake which enhances the flavour of the dish., I would say the octopus is a touch over done when I had it, but the pork belly was cooked perfectly. The lamb rump was cooked to perfection, after talking to the chef, and knowing that it was a dry aged lamb from Romley Marsh? Very well with the potato jus accompanying it very well with its lights and arrogant flavours. I would have liked more of the sweet potato jus upon my dish, the lentils works. Well I wouldāve liked a bit more than those as well. The Korean style, Bimbap works well for local clienteles pallets, however, I would have preferred it a lot more crispy rice at the bottom of the bimbap, after discussing it with the chef, who was very polite and friendly, it was understandable why it was done in such a way. The side dishes of the potato, Bravas and the pickled salad was a very nice for the compliment to my main protein dishes. Overall, the Stilebridge is a great restaurant you should visit, as a reviewer, I never eats anywhere five stars restaurant wise, however, with my own personal recommendation, I recommend a rate Stilebridge very highly and would be back again to try the other menu items. I would love to see more South American dishes because itās hard to find authentic dishes done right utilising British local projects which I highly enjoy. My compliments to the chef. Thank you

Me and my husband have made a Christmas tradition of coming here for breakfast every year when we buy our tree! Itās been about 5 years and we still love the food and the atmosphere š they always have mismatch crockery and different salt shaker sets on each table and itās too cute! The service has always been fantastic and you can tell that they use quality, local produce and really fresh bread. If it ever closes down we will be heart broken!

All staff from walking into the reception to leaving the dentist were fantastic. All polite, attentive, friendly, approachable and helpful. My dentist was great, patient, thorough, explained everything to me in a way that I understood, and anything I questioned she responded honestly. Extremely grateful for the care I received yesterday and have already recommended to some friends and my partner! Hoping to get my daughter moved over to this practice when an opening is available. Extremely pleased and relieved to have found a place in this practice. Thankyou for the work you do.

My dentist is always very respectful and offers good, sound advice regarding my teeth. He only carries out dental work, when necessary and is aware of the costs involved. I have been at this practise for nearly 40 years and he is the best dentist I have EVER had

I had dinner with my friends here and it was brilliant. The food was all delicious and hot, we had seven dishes between three of us and two side plates of bread and it was just right! Lovely and friendly service, and the building itself is absolutely beautiful. It has a real family restaurant feel to it and the tables are decorated beautifully. I will definitely return here.

Loved it. As a Spanish person, I find it really hard to find good Spanish places in the UK (outside of London). Very pleased to find an actual Spanish-run one. WE LOVED IT! š

What a beautiful interior, what a beautiful building, am so looking forward to visiting again in the warmer months and sitting outside. We are fans of tapas and we're delighted to find them in Maidstone, we'd have visited sooner if we'd known La Taberna was on our doorstep. The restaurant is tucked away but is now no longer a secret as we will be revisiting many times. The menu is inviting, temping, vast and everything we ordered was delicious. Cannot praise it enough.

Always a good steak here. Donāt think the over all service or setting quite makes it a knock out 5* but the food none the less was great. I saw my wine and soft drink sat on the bar for ages before being put at the table so given was a table clearly in sight Iād have liked to see a quicker delivery and simple no ice require at but getting ice just makes the 5* experience down to a 4. But thatās petty. Food was really nice however, the same green/cress dressing really doesnāt need to be on all dishes. Halloumi nibble, the starter and main blessed with it. Seriously why are all restaurants doing this nowadays, just gets frustrating as adds almost no value. Anyway I get distracted. Like I say, food was really nice for a lunch so canāt complain

We are there on Saturday for a Christmas lunch, we were a big group so we were sat over two tables but they placed us in a nook where we could still all talk together. Our server, Sarah was very attentive, charming and a lovely sense of humour. The food and drinks were great, rolled out of there by the end of it after having the festive menu.

Visited this branch on Saturday for our anniversary. Was a lovely vibe, the atmosphere was great. Very friendly and welcoming from the start till leaving. We received great service from our server Lyndsey, she was always at hand to make sure we had everything we needed. Good was 10/10 especially the garlic mushrooms, although everything else was wonderful too. Cocktails were delicious and strong not watered down. Thanks for such a please t evening

The restaurant was very busy, many of the staff seemed young and inexperienced, it was evident training was going on, there were long waits for everything, which was fine with us as not on a tight schedule and staying in the hotel. The King Prawn Starter the Prawns were not cleaned well, we complained and they were swiftly returned to the kitchen, we were offered a replacement but declined the charge was removed from the bill. The Chipotle Chicken was sensational.

Came here last night for dinner havenāt driven past many times without popping in. Iād being in this pub 10 + years ago and remembered the out dated decoration insideā¦. What a complete change itās classy and stylish with all the staff being helpful, they had premium lager on tap and a great choice of cocktails made by the owner himself. We sat down and ordered our food. We had the home made breakfast on the table which was delicious. The starters and the mains were spectacular so much flavour! I had the steak for the main and I couldnāt fault it by far one of the best meals Iāve had in the UK. Definitely going to head back soon to try out what else the menu has to offer!

What a delightful experience! I was in the area with some friends and, having already booked online for dinner, we called in for coffee after a morning walk and got a really friendly welcome - along with great coffee. As we sat on the sofas admiring the fabulous decor the owner came up and offered us a tour, even showing us the kitchen and function room upstairs. This Pub has been beautifully renovated, absolutely top notch. Every aspect of customer comfort has been considered and when we went back in the evening our meals were delicious. What a find! We all awarded it Pub of the Year and we'll definitely go back if we're in the area again. Highly recommend!

We dropped in here quite by chance just before 1.00 on a Sunday on our way back to London from the coast. We werenāt that hungry but needed something to eat. We were blown away by the Sunday Roast menu and after reading that all the meat was sourced locally and seeing that we could have a roast with all 3 meats, we had to try it. This was the best Sunday roast I have eaten. Iāve had a few so I know what Iām talking about! š. The staff were really lovely, they brought a bowl of water for our dog to our table. They also said they would feedback our comments about the food and looked genuinely chuffed to hear it. The atmosphere was also great, music not loud, locals having a good old catch up, and the smell of a really gorgeous wood fire throughout.

First time my friend and I had been here. Atmosphere only gets 3 because it was very quiet but Thursday lunchtime on run up to Christmas. We opted for 2 starters, the butternut squash soup accompanied by delicious warm bread was lovely. Followed by goats cheese tarts, with caramelised onion which were also delicious. The young waiter was so pleasant to talk to. We had two medium glasses of wine and two really hot capachino coffees. We shall be back!

Didn't eat today. Pub was busy and staff were thin on the ground but seemed to be coping. One of the more expensive pub restaurants I've been in but the atmosphere was nice
Rating: 4 / 5
Very old pub in a great spot. Plenty of seating inside with both a large bar and large restaurant area. Staff were very helpful and the chef was accommodating to our specific requirements. All the food was cooked to a high standard. The only downside was the relatively high bill compared to other pub restaurants.

Just came back from a Halloween party at The Hook and Hatchet in Hucking. Our kids, aged between seven and ten, had an amazing time. We booked dinner, and the party started at five with a high-quality disco and games for the kids. They gave our kids a party bag on arrival, which was a really nice touch, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The party games were brilliant. I would highly recommend this evening to anyone with kids who enjoy Halloween parties! Plenty of candy was given out throughout the evening, and even some at the bar. Itās great to see a pub host such a fun event for kids. At 8 oāclock, it turned into an adult party. We also come here often for breakfast on the weekends. Itās one of the best breakfasts Iāve ever had, offering great value for money and wonderful surroundings. If you have a dog, itās completely dog-friendly, with great walks on your doorstep in the estate. I canāt recommend this place highly enough. Well done, guys!

It feels like youāre travelling to the middle of nowhere only to find this pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. What a lovely place to have a drink or dinner. I did both! Lots of charm & cute decor making the pub feel cosy. The staff are so friendly & welcoming. The food was delicious plus really good value. Will definitely be back again.

I've been coming here for decades. If course the ownership and the pub have changed but it's always been good and it's now the best it has ever been. A warm welcome, well kept ale and great food. They serve proper pies not ceramic bowls with a pastry lid. A proper fire, a campsite, accommodation and digs welcomed. Perfect.

Evan from D.J. Electrical in Maidstone came to put a fan into my kitchen today in preparation for cavity wall insulation and to meet the requisite building regulations. His work was speedy and to a very good standard and he was courteous, professional and friendly. He cleaned up well after his cutting and chasing into the wall and was overall very tidy. I would have no problems using this company again for electrical work.

Faultless service with a very friendly approach. Work was completed to a high standard and extremely tidy. No hesitation would I use them again. Highly recommended.

I am a small business owner I need need of full electric works done. Paul from D J Adams worked in my shop and installed new DC Immune, commercial fuse unit, linked several power sockets to DC Immune for protection on my equipment, did amazing lighting's and metal conduit sockets. The best part of it is the advise and thinking of better ways to help you. They were very reasonable and only phone call away. I truly recommend them. It is very hard to find honest and knowledgeable electrician who takes pride on there work. Thank you for work well done.
