Rating: 4.3 (648) Price Level:

Attended an emergency appointment for a replacement filling. Receptionist was very polite, and the waiting room was clean. I was seen at the time of my appointment. My Dentist was polite and explained the procedure clearly before the work commenced and I received a new filling. No problems at all. I was made to feel at ease and nothing was rushed. I had a positive experience. I'm happy to recommend South Cliff Dental Surgery, Dover.

This setting was suggested to me by my daughter’s school. I was so thrilled to find an NHS dentist after being so badly treated at my last practice. I am so happy with the care myself & children received. I am very happy to recommend this practice to others.

Yes this all reviewed are true. When they had opened this practice was horrible. Just money and nothing more they charge you upfront even when you hadn't treatment was a problem to get money back. Never dentist available etc. I want to change a dentist as well but went just for check up with children last month. And all completely different. New staff, kind and helpful atmosphere. They stop asking money more then is necessary. I had an emergency visit 2 weeks ago as well, appointment same day, teeth done and still for cost of NHS nothing extra. I am after 4th visit mine and children's and I can say now this people there are great! Thank you so much for all you help!

I would like to express my gratitude to South Cliff Dental Group for the excellent care provided during my recent hygiene procedure. It has been over 15 years since my last visit to the dentist and the team made the experience surprisingly pleasant. There professionalism, attitude, attention to detail, and friendly atmosphere put me completely at ease. I'll definitely be visiting them again. Highly recommended.!!!!!!

Went with sister and a friend on a Tuesday evening. It was surprisingly busy for early in the week. I ordered game terrine starter and corn fed chicken breast main course and also a pint of real ale, all were excellent. The waitress was very attentive and friendly as was the owner who personaly introduced himself to us. Particular liked the fact they served an extra helping of the sauces with each main course. Very impressed and would definitely recommend.

Really excellent pie, delicious with cider gravy which had a nice tang to it. Friendly, welcoming service and a nice spacious proper pub feel. The bitter was perfect with my pie. I have walked past before and never gone in, a mistake I won't repeat.

I visited the Pullman with friends and decided to share a portion of nachos and was surprised to see a bowl of Doritos with a lump of coagulated mozzarella cheese welded to the bowl and topped with a watery salsa and thimble of sour cream which made sharing impossible… the staff were great and loved the atmosphere. Do NOT recommend the nachos

Went there with about 10 others for an afternoon tea. Staff were friendly and attentive, not at all pushy. Atmosphere was nice and the food was good. Three tier racks of sandwiches, scones and cakes were served. One for every two guests. Food was very nice apart from the chocolate fudge cake was not 100% but still nice. Parking outside is a bit restricted with most surrounding roads being permit only. You can park outside and pay. Cost £5 for 2.5hrs. Or within 10-15 minutes walk there are local car parks. Some of our party said it was expensive at £20 per head but for a one off, birthday type treat I think that was ok. Would certainly recommend it and would consider going back again.

We had a lovely lunch in the bar part of the restaurant. Lots of good selections of tapas. My favorite were the calamari and chicken wings. We came on New Year’s Eve which was a Tuesday. They advertised 2 for 1 Happy Hour but did not honor this advertisement because of New Year’s Eve! This was disappointing since I can’t understand why Happy Hour wasn‘t possible. We also paid 75£ for Christmas Eve dinner which included dinner plus entry into the party. The dinner was average and it was disappointing that there were no New Year‘s decorations (no balloons, hats, etc). We were handed champagne at the very last second before clock struck midnight and it felt rushed and not properly planned. DJ played good music but there were not many people and only a few danced...this made the party atmosphere not so „party-like“. Not sure I would celebrate NYE at this venue but would definitely eat at the restaurant again.

A wonderful place to visit and to sit and take in the wonderful Cliff Top Views over White Cliffs. You can see Folkestone in the distance. Only slight criticism is that the food n drink prices are expensive. But food n service is very good 👍 And there is free parking . Definitely worth a visit .

A decent cafe, whose main attraction is the view over the channel and towards Folkestone. The food was fresh and tasty, though the menu is quite basic. There's not a lot of indoor seating if the weather is poor. There's a bit of a slope down to the cafe and they work on a cash only basis.

Busy little cafe with spectacular views. Taking cash only is unusual these days, and it limited how much we spent. We would have bought a cake and tea after our sandwiches, but we didn't have enough cash between us. Overall still good though; lovely food, friendly service, and amazing views over the cliffs to the sea and Folkestone. Well worth a visit, just get some cash out first!

The Harbour Inn

24-26 Harbour St, Folkestone CT20 1QN, UK | Pub
P: 01303 232980

Rating: 4.3 (1327) Price Level:

We sat in the garden, accidentally next to the bins initially, which meant there were a lot of flies. We moved to the middle to eat which was better, and had Harbour Fish Burgers. Whilst the food was very good, fresh fish and homemade tartare sauce and minted mushy peas, we did wait almost 50 minutes for the food to arrive, with no apology for the delay, and no warning when we ordered that it would be a wait. We weren't overly bothered, but others were clearly becoming agitated at waiting so long.

Loved this pub/restaurant I first went for a drink and then booked in for dinner. The bar has a fire which is cosy and service is quick. I had the pork belly bites as a snack. In the restaurant my partner had the skate wing which he loved, I had the mussels and as I can’t have diary or wheat the chef made me a special ratatouille type sauce which was as delicious. They had gluten free bread too which was good . Service in the restaurant is also good , the staff know the menus and are helpful. Will definitely be back.

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Folkestone

voco, Clifton Hotel, 1 -6 Clifton Gardens, Folkestone CT20 2EB, UK | Steak House

Rating: 4.2 (325) Price Level:

We went for a family meal here and we're really impressed. Beautifully presented restaurant and food. Staff were attentive and professional and we had a lovely view of the grounds whilst we were dining. The food was top quality. If you go straight to reception they will provide you with a parking permit at reduced rate which is great given the parking outside is limited to 3 hours. This restaurant is an hour away from home for us but definitely worth the trip. Only comment would be that it was quiet, meaning we were the only guests during lunch. Possibly due to the building having a refurb and the signage is not clear, so perhaps people don't know the restaurant is inside this hotel? Anyhow, we will definitely be returning!

Popped in here having seen them had a selection of gluten free options. While it was a quiet Thursday early evening and I was alone I was made to feel very welcome. The food is lovely, can confirm the fries are gluten free and suitable for coeliacs. Steak was nice, as was the pepper sauce also gluten free. Nice selection of drinks though no ciders but it strikes me as a little more up market for that. All in all lovely place for dinner either alone or with others. Image is 10oz Ribeye, usually comes with vine tomatoes but I had without as I don't like them and it would be a waste. Total bill £58 with a double spiced rum and coke. Worth it.

Sunday roast was good especially beef was cooked perfectly, good cut and high quality, I like sneaky Yorkshire pudding with pig in blanket inside. Lots of side vegetables. We had afternoon tea as well which was delicious. Freshly baked scone is worth to try. Sandwiches were tasty.
