It is very seldom now when everything is perfect at a given cafe. But this place was the one for me. Lovely meeting smile. Welcome and nice atmosphere. Food was absolutely delicious, you can taste the quality. Also got a takeaway coffee in cute pink cup, you can pick alternative milk for free. Attention to details. As a bonus located in nice area. Thank you for our experience

When looking for a place to host my sisters baby shower, fed on the green stood out as a perfect little spot. Communications were really good and they accommodated us as a group of 15 after closing hours. They put on an incredible afternoon tea spread, and the service for drinks was great. I am so grateful to them, this is a perfect little gem for intimate occasions- Thankyou so much!

Just enjoyed a lovely meal at the Butchers block, Bearsted. I loved my sirloin steak, cooked to perfection. The rest of the table had the roast dinners, which they thoroughly enjoyed. If you are looking for an excellent meal add the Butchers block to your list. 😋🥩 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stopped off here for a lunch with my hubby and was so impressed. The food was incredible and cooked to perfectioned and seasoned beautifully. I haven't had a steak cooked this well in years locally. The chef created the most amazing sticky toffee pudding with a salty sauce and a beautiful ice cream too - make sure you put the sauce with the ice cream! Staff were delightful and genuinely this is our new best place for date night or date lunch! Great food - great people - plenty of parking too!

Oh my Lord!!! What can I say. This will be my new favourite place to eat. Friendly staff and the food is to die for, you have to savour every mouthful. We were comparing the food to our visit to Thailand 2 years ago and would say that this was better! Went here for a late lunch today, thanks for such lovely food x

Stopped for some dinner tonight after a hectic week was lovely to sit and relax and get some great food. Staff lovely can't help you enough. Great steaks of having the chateaubriand to your self make sure it's medium rare and ask for it not to be pre sliced. Mrs sirloin was so soft and moist you could of mistaken it for fillet. We will be back with friends 😊

Delhi Spice

Rose Inn, 87 Ashford Rd, Bearsted, Maidstone ME14 4BS, UK | Indian Restaurant
P: 01622 734747

Rating: 4.3 (101) Price Level:

This month, we visited Delhi Spice in Bearsted. Notably, Delhi Spice isn't just an Indian restaurant; it's also seamlessly connected to The Rose Inn pub, which was bustling with energy on a Thursday night. The restaurant's ambiance distinguishes it from other curry houses we've visited. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff and ushered into a space that beautifully combines Indian charm with the lively atmosphere of a pub. It truly offers the best of both worlds. The menu features a variety of classic Indian curries alongside enticing specials. Intrigued by the description of “simply order & be surprised,” we couldn't resist ordering The Delhi Spice Special, which ended up being the highlight of the night. While all the dishes were well-prepared and presented, the Spicy Chicken Tikka Masala fell short of our expectations in terms of depth and flavour. Overall, it was a great meal and evening, especially for a Thursday. If you find yourself in Bearsted craving good Indian food and a vibrant atmosphere, Delhi Spice/The Rose Inn is the place to go. Food was delicious. Staff were efficient. Music from bar was a little loud and heavy for restaurant dining. Toilets were the let down.. ladies toilet at restaurant end has 3 cubicles..1 with no light. 1 without toilet paper. 1 the door won't shut. So advised my friend to use the one in bar area. 1 cubicle no toilet roll. At end of evening I need to use toilet again. Restaurant was closed but I went to the toilet there as I knew one if the cubicles had paper. Staff saw me walk into toilet. But by time I sat down the lights were turned off by restaurant staff leaving.. leaving me to finish in the dark.

Esquires Coffee - Maidstone

23 Gabriel's Hill, Maidstone ME15 6HR, UK | Coffee Shop
P: Not available

Rating: 4.4 (407) Price Level:

A nice place to go for some food and a coffee. We went on a late Sunday morning for brunch and it was my first time going. I was not sure what the setup was with going to order your food/drink yourself. Could have had a little sign or one of the staff just letting me know but I figured it out in the end. The food and drink I don't have any complaints with as it was great. The apple juice tasted like I just put a straw in an apple. And the full English was lovely and fresh also with some amazing bacon. I would have liked to have a fried egg but they could only offer scrambled on the day. Overall a great place to eat and get a coffee. Would recommend.

Great Experience at The White Horse Inn, Bearsted I visited The White Horse Inn in Bearsted two weeks ago, and it was a fantastic experience. The food tasted great, and everything was well-prepared and enjoyable. The table service was excellent—staff were attentive and made sure we were well looked after throughout the meal. I never had to go looking for someone to order a drink, as the team was always on hand and very efficient. Their attentiveness really stood out and made the visit feel seamless and relaxed. The atmosphere was lovely, creating a warm and welcoming vibe for a great dining experience. Overall, I was very impressed and would highly recommend The White Horse Inn for anyone looking for good food and excellent service.

What a lovely, homely place. I'd definitely recommend the White Horse for a perfect family or group outing. The service is exceptional. I was especially pleased that Tash, our server, ensured all our orders were correct to the letter and maintained a warm and charming attitude throughout. She made my nieces feel exceedingly happy, making it a perfect evening out. I look forward to visiting again soon.

The pub itself had a bit of an ‘off’ night but Izzy our waitress was so professional and explained that a few items were no longer available. Even after a few rude customers made their (unworthy) opinions heard she maintained a brilliant level of service with a smile on her face at all times. Rest of the staff were also very friendly including the manager. Food was also delicious.

A lovely family get together (parents and grandchild) at this friendly pub with great food and a nice wine selection. We were lucky enough to try the new menu and it was fantastic! I went for a special of an asparagus and cheddar pie (vegetarian option) and my nephew braved the Lamb Shank Shepherd’s Pie which was pretty sensational! Shirley was a lovely waitress, getting everything right and super efficient! A lovely lunch!

This branch is within the Next store just off the M20 in Maidstone. It's quite comfortable but a little soulless although there was background music playing. As usual the prices are very high for both food and drink but I guess you pay your money and take your choice. Some drinks are nearly £5 and I do think nearly £4 for an egg mayo sandwich is ridiculous especially as they're really nothing special. The staff were friendly enough with three on duty when I visited. Many of the tables had empty cups and plates on them and needed a wipe down ready for the next customer.

This restaurant is located in Audley Mote House, which is part of a retirement community which in turn is located in Mote Park. The location is idilic, with views of the park. The food and service were very good. The preparation of the food took slightly longer than expected, but it was worth the wait. The cost was reasonable, 2 courses for £22 and 3 courses for £24. There does not appear to be a car park for restaurant guests, so I suggest parking in the car park near the entrance to the park and walking a few hundred meters. It costs £2 for 6 hours.

I was a bit sceptical about lambs as I am always a little concerned about the strong smell. But because we had friends recommended Romney and how good the lamb is there, I had to take the risk. It did not disappoint. A must try as they roast the skin to a crisp while keeping the meat medium rare. The complexity of the flavour and bite made it a great gastronomic experience.

Held a funeral tea here, staff were wonderful, food was poor, the bread it's self was good, but sandwiches were dry and fell apart. The quiches were so soggy that the centre 4 inches was inedible. Potato salad, coleslaw, chips, and chicken bites were fine. Good atmosphere and so close to the crematorium.

This chain pub/restaurant is owned by Green King so it has some good deals on food. It's a large venue and has a ground floor and upstairs area. The seating is comfortable and not crowded together. I had a starter for my main course which was a sharing platter of carrots chicken items with onion rings, corn on the cob and coleslaw. All was cooked nicely and I just about made it through the generous portion The car park is very large and it's free. The pub is next door to a huge garden centre with other retail businesses also attached.
