Was heading to Nottcuts Garden Centre and had seen good reviews about this place so decided to drop in. Happy to say the reviews were right for once, lol. Lovely staff, very friendly, and although they were closing early when we went in they didn't rush us at all. The cake I had, the ginger cake, was delicious. Moist and very tasty. The hot chocolate was even better. Can't recommend this place enough!!

This is a busy little cafe, staff were incredibly helpful, nothing too much šŸ˜ (There is another cafe in Notcutts next door, staff in there were rude and surly, we had only just ordered our drinks and sat down and a member of their staff told us we had to drink up as it was 4:30 and the cafe closed at 5 and she wanted to clear our table.) Go to Bricks, have a lovely coffee with pleasant staff who are pleased you see you šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ˜

Great place for a coffee stop especially compared to other local places; lovely staff that make such an effort to accommodate and the cake choices are good - i can highly recommend the ginger loaf, a big piece thatā€™s surprisingly light and non sickly . Weā€™ve also had the toasted sarnies and the only slight negative is I wish they also did sourdough toasties here then itā€™d be perfect! But at least thereā€™s always a heated sausage roll or toasted cheese scone & marmite until then šŸ˜Š. Had the best iced cappuccino on warmer days, very well made here, as theyā€™re never quite right anywhere else.

Baskervilleā€™s Coffee House

We all had a lovely afternoon tea at Baskervilles Coffee House. The traditional tea had a good selection of savoury and sweet treats. The child's tea also had a good selection, having changed the sandwich fillings to known favourites. Our dog certainly enjoyed her afternoon tea too and it was great to be able to give her something designed for her instead of snuffling our sausage rolls. The staff were really happy, polite and chatty. This is a wonderful little coffee shop and a great place to visit if you want to sit with your dog.

A far cry from a truckers cafƩ, this local coffee house offers a cosy seating area with a modest menu. The interior is well decorated. There is a standard selection of hot items with a range of cakes that also cater to vegan requirements. Parking is easily found on the road, or it's a walk away for local residents who tend to come here and socialise in small groups. Prices are what you would expect.

Went here for breakfast. Dog friendly cafe. Had the 'Hair of the Hound' full English breakfast which was ok. Wife had Gluton Free (GF bread was not good). Fast service and Friendly staff. Recommendations: clean the windows from the cobwebs and flys, not nice when your eating.

Came here with my two dogs on the second day of the opening under the new owner. Love the decor. Dog bowls on the floor, free dog treats and tables and chairs outside with lovely throws to use. I had a really tasty jacket potato and a beautiful home made cake. Has a good selection of gluten free and vegan options of savoury and sweet items. Throughly recommend

My wife and I wanted to try something different when we went out for dinner on Saturday night and this place didn't disappoint. The staff were lovely. The food was delicious. The decor and music was traditional Bulgarian. Good pricing on the food too. We only stayed for food but next time we go back we would like to say for Entertainment, traditional singing and dancing

Always a good steak here. Donā€™t think the over all service or setting quite makes it a knock out 5* but the food none the less was great. I saw my wine and soft drink sat on the bar for ages before being put at the table so given was a table clearly in sight Iā€™d have liked to see a quicker delivery and simple no ice require at but getting ice just makes the 5* experience down to a 4. But thatā€™s petty. Food was really nice however, the same green/cress dressing really doesnā€™t need to be on all dishes. Halloumi nibble, the starter and main blessed with it. Seriously why are all restaurants doing this nowadays, just gets frustrating as adds almost no value. Anyway I get distracted. Like I say, food was really nice for a lunch so canā€™t complain

Visited this branch on Saturday for our anniversary. Was a lovely vibe, the atmosphere was great. Very friendly and welcoming from the start till leaving. We received great service from our server Lyndsey, she was always at hand to make sure we had everything we needed. Good was 10/10 especially the garlic mushrooms, although everything else was wonderful too. Cocktails were delicious and strong not watered down. Thanks for such a please t evening

The restaurant was very busy, many of the staff seemed young and inexperienced, it was evident training was going on, there were long waits for everything, which was fine with us as not on a tight schedule and staying in the hotel. The King Prawn Starter the Prawns were not cleaned well, we complained and they were swiftly returned to the kitchen, we were offered a replacement but declined the charge was removed from the bill. The Chipotle Chicken was sensational.

We are there on Saturday for a Christmas lunch, we were a big group so we were sat over two tables but they placed us in a nook where we could still all talk together. Our server, Sarah was very attentive, charming and a lovely sense of humour. The food and drinks were great, rolled out of there by the end of it after having the festive menu.

D.J. Adams Electrical Limited

Rating: 4.6 (9) Price Level:

I am a small business owner I need need of full electric works done. Paul from D J Adams worked in my shop and installed new DC Immune, commercial fuse unit, linked several power sockets to DC Immune for protection on my equipment, did amazing lighting's and metal conduit sockets. The best part of it is the advise and thinking of better ways to help you. They were very reasonable and only phone call away. I truly recommend them. It is very hard to find honest and knowledgeable electrician who takes pride on there work. Thank you for work well done.

Evan from D.J. Electrical in Maidstone came to put a fan into my kitchen today in preparation for cavity wall insulation and to meet the requisite building regulations. His work was speedy and to a very good standard and he was courteous, professional and friendly. He cleaned up well after his cutting and chasing into the wall and was overall very tidy. I would have no problems using this company again for electrical work.

The Yeoman

139 Ashford Rd, Bearsted, Maidstone ME14 4BT, UK | Mediterranean Restaurant
P: 01622 290396

Rating: 4.6 (257) Price Level:

We went there after doing the lights trail at Leeds Castle. We were seated very quickly after arriving even though we didn't have a booking. The service was generally good but we had to wave a few times to get our water jug replenished. The food portions were good and all the dishes were tasty. My son had the scallops as a starter. I thought they could have used a little more colour. I wanted the seabream but unfortunately they had run out so went for the prawns instead as a main. Very tasty šŸ˜‹. My son had the fish stew main which was given the thumbs up. It was served with flat breads, which though lovely, I would personally prefer a more crusty bread. My other half had the moussaka, which he enjoyed. He had it with the side salad. For dessert my son tried the baklava. Too sweet for me, but a generous portion. My one disappointment with this place is the kids menu. It has 3 items only, all meat based. It's Ā£10 but doesn't include a drink or dessert like a lot of kids menus tend to so if your kid is vegetarian or doesn't like bolognaise or Chicken skewers then I'm not sure what your options are. My daughter had the skewers. She loved the chips but as the skewers have a lemon based marinade she wasn't so thrilled about that and didn't finish them. It wasn't a cheap evening but the food was tasty and the portions sufficient, however I would consider a venue with more to offer for kids.

I would give it 10 stars or a Michelin star if i could. The food is that good. EVERYTHING tastes amazing. We had the chicken livers, prawns and scallops to start, which were well seasoned and beautifully presented. The scallops were garnished with samphire and pistachio nuts, which was a surprisingly amazing touch and added so much flavour. The best scallops I've ever tasted. For Mains, we both enjoyed the cod...on a bed of well-seasoned mash and lobster sauce. Again, it was beautifully presented and tasted out of this world. The service was IMPECCABLE. We had a new starter waitress, who was on her first evening, and she was so attentive and friendly. The manager is amazing too. He beams pride in his restaurant and is so friendly and welcoming. All the staff just seem to enjoy their jobs and were all just as accommodating. This is now my absolute favourite restaurant. They're going to get sick of seeing my face, I'm going to be there so often!!

Gave this restaurant a try for the first time and was very impressed. Varied menu with all dishes cooked to a high standard. Large portions, so you will definitely come away full. Outside doesn't look very impressive but a comfortable and spacious seating area inside. Our children also enjoyed their meals. Easy parking next to The Yeoman which has it's own spaces but also free 3 hour Village car park.

Fantastic place to stop for coffee and a snack if out walking or mountain bike riding like I was today. Had a flat white - was excellent as was the sausage roll. This will now be my preferred mid ride stop for this route. Blankets available with outside seating so you can enjoy a coffee even on those chillier days. Stopped by again a few days after this review mid ride. Coffee and steak pasty excellent. Really pleasant place to rest for a while by the river. PS be sure to look out for the bold as brass Robin who likes to snack on cake crumbs etc! June 2022 update - seats and chairs upgraded - this place continues to impress!

La Villetta is such a lovely part of the food scene in Maidstone. Itā€™s a cosy, independent restaurant with really flavoursome and seasonal menus. Our starters were amazing, we shared a selection of olives, burrata and polpettine and they were delicious both separately and together! It was a little slow to get our mains but my chicken was beyond flavoursome, I would even say not for the faint hearted. It was so buttery and creamy, i loved it. My husband had the mushroom gnocchi which was not as deep in flavour but still quite good. The gnocchi looked as though it came from a packet but honestly compared to the chains that are available in our area, the food here was much more homemade. We also tried one of the italian beers, Birra flea (margherita), it was so nice Iā€™ve had a google to buy some. Its malty and savoury in flavour so goes so well with all of the food. We didnā€™t go for dessert but they do an afogato with baileys in it which went down a treat! The waitress was really lovely and helpful with the menu. The only odd thing is that the floor feels a bit wonky under foot! This is a really charming place to eat and the food is much fresher than anything else youā€™ll find in Maidstone. We will definitely return.

Classic British pub, no surprise, you can get fish and chips here and other standard fare. Felt a little more like a pub than a restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes from the bartender, and they delivered to a very comfortable outside table. Loved the traditional style Shepherd Naeme selections they had on tap my crew put back the foam less Master brew and Spitfire pints served perfectly. Taught the bartender how to make a Snakebite strange as I was the American, but whatever he got, it figured out. Great bar setup and food faired well. Skin on hand breaded Haddock fish and chips spot , although the mushed served warm kind of off setting and odd taste. The chicken burger and other selections are solid as well. Would have included a photo of the 3 onion rings as a side, but my mate, eat them in up in no time flat. Value diners should hard pass on that as it wasn't a great portion. Overall, it was a good experience and worth a look if your in the area

Nice breakfast, I opted for a set breakfast of sausage, two rashers of bacon, chips, beans, toast and a fried egg along with a can of drink for Ā£9.00. Some of the chips were a little overcooked/crunchy but the rest of the breakfast was nice. They operate a loyalty scheme of a free meal once you have collected 8 stamps from paid meals, they have the same offer regarding drinks too. They have customer toilets which were clean and in decent condition. If you found this review helpful please click on the heart icon, thanks.
