I've been walking around this beautiful place during 2020 lockdown in UK. I can't stress enough how much I appreciate its been located just across the street. I thought it would be nice to contribute with some photos I took. Have fun all golf lovers it's a perfect place for your game!

Whitefield golf club is a hidden gem in the north west of England. The greens are a treasure and there is a hole for every type of golfer. Our golf society continually chooses Whitefield because of the golf but come back for the hospitality they offer. If you’re organising a society day here, don’t hesitate, just book it.

Great day out. Nice little course with some lovely holes. Great to see maintenance being carried out on the course aswell. The course was reasonable dry considering the rain we have had. Well worth a visit . 100% be back. Friendly pro shop and well sign posted.

What a great course, very well kept and maintained, hole layout is great. Would highly recommend getting a kart. Booked back on, for what won't be the last time. Highly impressed.

A real test of Golf, you need to have played a good all round game to score well at Mellor. The greens have been fabulous and consistent all year round. Finally , its a really friendly club, with great facilities. Drop in for a cup of coffee, a Sunday dinner, or a big event, you won't be disappointed.

Stunning golf club with a fantastic variety of holes to keep your interest up right up to the 19th. There are some signature holes here with magnificent views. The greens were awesome, consistent and fast. Can’t ask for more. Will definitely revisit.

A great test of golf with some of the best greens in the area, coupled with spectacular views and a fantastic clubhouse, Mellor is well worth a visit

Great location and venue The function room was excellent!! With great service from the staff! Unfortunately, I attended a beravement.

I can't comment on the golf course but the function room is nice. Good food, well stocked bar and welcoming staff.

Played MGC this morning for the first time. Conditions were great, save a few spots on a few fairways which the grounds crew are doing an outstanding job of repairing. The views are beautiful and the property overall is just enjoyable to be on. Add to it that the weather cooperated and was a fairly sunny day. Next time I’m back in Manchester I’ll absolutely try to get another round in.

Played an open day here, staff super friendly, golf course was in great condition and the back 9 was brutal (made harder with windy conditions). Really enjoyed it though and the food afterwards was lovely!

Wow loved this course, the greens are ‘spot on’ really well maintained and a good looking course with super views. Large open fairways and firm green. A few issues on the back nine battling leather jackets and some GUR but to be expected given the wet weather. Really enjoyed the course, it has a ‘classy feel’ and a must if you are in the area. Finished off with a great breakfast in the club house. I looked at the practice area with a good driving range with Trackman but the green is still under development. I paid £60 using GolfNow great value and the best course I have played in Manchester so far, thanks

Golfers heaven Have played here the day after immense heavy rain in the north west of England, I was surprised at good of condition the course was in Fantastic setup with chipping area, driving range and large putting area. Nets are available for another means of a warm up prior to your round. The staff are superb in particular Julie, the manger who had no trouble in moving my tee time earlier Unfortunately I never had time to stop for food but I will do on my next visit.

Proper golf in January no mats no temp greens helpful staff and friendly members would join this course if it was 20 miles closer

Fabulous, well priced course. Buggy hire extremely reasonable. The course is laid out very well as has some really challenging holes. A good test around. The greens are impeccably kept and the bunkers bar one are near perfect. Play advised......

Nice clean clubhouse with friendly helpful staff, didn't really get a look at pro shop. This is a great little course with undulating fairways hiding some monster size bunkers (with good sand in most) and some really well placed, making any golfer think a bit and course management is vital as there are hidden streams and water hazards which are not visible on a few fairways. Greens are good also, and I recommend this course to any average to good golfer, maybe a bit too challenging to a novice.

First time I played this course and I found it a very pleasent well maintained course but very tricky, with some course knowledge I would of shot better. After playing this course around 10 times over the last few months, I decided to come back to this review and add to it. The greens at Hart Common are some of the best I've played, and consistent throughout. Fairways are also very well kept. Some great bunkers well placed. Again this is a tricky course keep it on the fairway and you'll be rewarded.

Prestwich golf club is a inner city parkland course that you can complete in just over 3hrs offering a good challenge with a nice club house and friendly members

A lovely golf course and very challenging, not long, but very tricky, you have to be very straight or you are in trouble. A 180 yd club will be perfect for most holes as the fairways will do the rest. Majority of bunkers are GUR but the greens are very good. Gentlemen called Paul in the pro shop was an absolute gentlemen and pleasure to meet, he could not do enough for me. I will be revisiting.

Held our funeral wake on Friday for my father in law.. Prestwich staff were superb and very attentive and the food was excellent and reasonable. Can highly recommend for any type of venue hire

Very good pitch and putt course, has plenty of features and challenges that will bring you back playing it again and again - no two rounds are the same. Generally has been well maintained and a few holes now have new teeing off mats however some need replacing.

Played Heaton Park Golf Course today was supprised at what a fantastic condition the course was in especially the greens. Credit to the greenkeepers Very hilly course with lots of blind shots. Once you have played a few times you know where to hit the ball for best position. Fantastic views from the golf course. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Me and My 2 boys contacted them to play when we travelled to Manchester from Boston in May 2023. They were very helpful and nice. Rental clubs were available, and course was a fun change from local Boston courses. Staff was great..... Recommend for a fun day.

I’ve played here a lot over the years and the new guys running it have got it into the best condition I’ve ever seen it. Quite hilly and a lot of blind shots but if you’re hitting it straight it’s not a problem. Some excellent holes and some amazing views. One of the best courses in the north west without a doubt.

Lovely quiet course in excellent surroundings. Greens in fantastic condition. Fairways were unbelievable. Ball always sitting nice. Clubhouse very modern inside. Recommend. 10/10.

Great course that doesn't punish you too much off the tee's

Played here for the first time in the recent seniors open and it definitely wont be the last. The course was in extremely good condition and was a pleasure to play. Organisation was first class, staff were very friendly and helpful and the beer was tip top ! If you get the chance to play here then give it a go, you wont be disappointed, see you next year.

Great staff,even better course,played on October 4th in our society,despite the down pour the night before the course wad immaculate,will definitely be back every year without doubt,could do with a map of some sort either on card or the tee signs but top course many thanks.

This is a nice golf course. We played it in the middle of a lod of rain so the course was wet but it held up pretty well. I think any course would have struggled with the amount of rain we'd had and a lot of courses would have closed. All the course was in play and all the greens were in use. The only quibble I have is the layout of the facilities. The clubhouse is separate from the proshop and the driving range so you end up sat in the proshop waiting area rather than the bar if you're waiting to play or for others to come in, which is a bit unusual.
