Used the RL for my uncles wake . Cold buffet with chips No complaints at all , excellent food , good selections. Free tea and coffee Room was spot on , staff very helpful Would recommend 👍
Visited for games night (skittles) friendly pub much bigger than it looks clean and tidy good beer pool table TV nice outdoor area good food for skittles teams worth a visit if you are in area👍

We held my sons celebration of life at the red lion on Friday 26th January 2024, when asked how many we wanted catering for, I didn't have a clue because we know not everyone goes back to the wake, so we said about 100/150. There were way more people than that. The food was fantastic and knowing we hadn't eaten all day due to trying to speak to everyone, the landlady Heather made myself, my husband and daughter some sandwiches and chips and made us sit down and eat for 5 minutes 😀. The bar staff were amazing and the landlady, landlord and their son helped with every request we had. It could not have been more perfect. The procession arrived at around 2pm and people stayed until closing because we didn't want the day to end. Heather, Andy, Harry, Tracey and all the other staff, thankyou from the bottom of our hearts. We will see you today for Sunday lunch and I will review that later too x
Very friendly pub and dog friendly. Great atmosphere and good range of drinks. Maybe sandwiches would be a good idea to go with a pint.
