What a fabulous course. Great value at £16 a round….Better condition than some private courses I’ve played recently which cost around £10 more! Greens were immaculate, fairways short and well kept, wide open fairways but you had to really think about where to play your shot or you’d be blocked out or some horrendous sand trap awaited you near the green! Even the bunkers were all raked and immaculate…Absolute pleasure to play there today and I will be back for sure (maybe sneak another round in Thursday)

This place is magical. I grew up playing this course. I'd rather play this than any other course in the world and I have played some of the so called best. Filled with nostalgia. A great course that can reward your risky shots or punish you on a bad day. End of Aug 23 was in great condition.

Fab place to walk dogs, and plenty to do for kids

I last played here as a 13 year old very keen beginner golfer with my Dad. It was 1974. Abba just won Eurovision song contest with Waterloo!! 46 years later (today) I played it again! A lot wiser though, and certainly far, far better at golf. Lol. What a beautiful, beautiful course. Every hole was so picturesque. I photographed the 8th, shown here. A very challenging course for experts and beginners alike. Pro very friendly and a very talented golfer. Everybody we met were laid back and relaxed. One of my major issues with any golf course over the last 4 decades has been the first hole. If it's tight and tree lined the queues can build up on the first tee as golfers look for their balls. Not here though. Plenty of space to hit into to start your round. Golfers who do wait are well back from the tee, towards the clubhouse. So a very spacious first hole and tee area. Looking forward to play it again. Over the years I have played many, many courses at home and overseas in many championships. Many amazing courses, but this can hold its own with all of them. Take my advice...go play it. I certainly won't wait another 46 years to play it again! Be 105 then, so may be a tad difficult or impossible I'll be back after covid 19 lockdown, before old age grabs me! Fantastic course.

Played twice this year absolutely bang on. Played end of October and the course was really good. Two temp greens which were fine. If it wasn’t on SIV I would join as a member
