I’ve been a member here since January the course and staff are class. The condition of the course is quality and don’t let the 10 holes put you off from coming. Club house offers great food and refreshments

Great local golf course. Played for first time after hearing great reviews. Great condition bet its gorgeous in Summer can't wait to play here again. Very friendly around clubhouse staff and owners very welcoming. Practice area Great. Even played decent which is a bonus !

;Barry, it’s really really helpful excellent at finding you the right swing if you have lessons. The course is definitely not a stand-up and whack course, you do have to plot yourself around which I think improves your game. Awesome breakfast as well.

Really good course, needs a bit of love. Staff friendly, want to play again when not on temps. To be fair didn’t pay a lot as on temps, so no issues from me.

It’s a great course but be warned it’s tough!! You have to be straight off the tee, if not the trees will prevent you making any head way towards the green. It’s playable all year round with excellent drainage. It maybe tough but it’s fun and will really challenge your game. Course management is key.

Course is challenging enough for golfers of all abilities (9 hole - Par 35), and is well maintained. Support facilities are a little basic, but the course as a whole offers a cost-effective option to nomadic golfers, like me. I will definitely return!

Been to the range a few times and went around the course for the first time the other day. Really pleased, course and greens in great condition, staff always helpful and friendly.

The course is in absolute top condition, hats off to Neil and all ground staff, greens are exceptional unlike tapton and the social distancing is adhered to well, the only issue is that there are still too many people not repairing pitch Mark's otherwise I can't fault the course, well done all, 5 stars

Played here for my birthday in October 2024 and had a great time. The course is great and very scenic. In addition, my dad was playing golf for the first time since an operation and the staff in pro shop and bar were very helpful. He's now keen to get out and play again thanks to a good to a good experience here.

Playing of mats has helped preserve good fairways. Although because it’s not flat course this can also be tricky with borrowed mats. Greens were decent but not overly quick and a bit long - it is December after all so can be forgiven. Good layout and picturesque par 3s. Would love to play in its peak during the summer

Not the longest course but definitely has some challenging holes and tricky greens to navigate. The course is set in beautiful countryside with panoramic views and has been maintained to a very high standard. The greens are superb and some of the best I've ever played on.

Fantastic. Came for the opening of the new farmhouse kitchen and it was fabulous. The food was delicious, prompt and hot. The staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. This is going to be one hard spot to beat. Thanks for everything, Olli

Incredible Wedding venue! ✨️ All the staff went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. The grounds are absolutely stunning. The Canapés that were served after the ceremony were delicious. One of our guests said that the cheesecake was the best he'd ever had!. The cottage we stayed in that evening had a cosy rustic feel, with beams, stone walls ect. Extremely romantic. We would highly recommend booking your Wedding here. Huge thanks to Laura and all the team at Horsley Lodge. Mr and Mrs Dickens x

Great course, in superb condition. Only criticism was that some joker set out some rotating 360° sprinklers on holes 7 and 10 and we took a right soaking. Thankfully weather was brilliant and we soon dried off.

Fantastic course and a really warm welcome . First impressions do not do justice to this hidden gem. A real tricky course that makes you think with some real risk and reward holes. . Great test and a good laugh and stay for good and a chat afterwards, you’ll be made very welcome. 🤗

Just love this course, it’s a challenge for every standard of golfer and so many variations of holes. It has broken me quite a few times but I keep going back as I enjoy it so much. It is very hilly and this also adds to the challenge. The staff are always welcoming along with the green keepers who always have time to say hello. I really recommend this course. If I lived closer to it I would definitely become a member.

First visit to the course and I was very impressed with the keeping of the course also very helpful and friendly staff.

I held my wedding here on the 31st of August 2024. Karen who did my venue was absolutely amazing from the day I booked the venue to the moment we left on the Sunday. She was very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The venue looked spectacular on the day and the food was 10/10 all my guests commented on the food. I would definitely use them again for future events thankyou so much Karen your a star xx

Good course, still quite boggy in areas, muddy ball in fairway

Did footgolf 6 hole course go round twice only thing prices say 7 quid on website and 5 quid kids we got charged 25 for 2 adults 2 kids only a quid difference but a good testing course and nice venue 👍👍

Very nice course views amazing. If your going it's £24 a game as I was there yesterday green's have just been sanded and seeded so may be a few more weeks before they are back to normal but the fairways are mint. Definitely going again in a couple of weeks might even get my membership I enjoyed that much.

Played the 9 hole academy course. Lovely course for beginners. Fairways not bad except 4th hole could do with a cut (although is a Par 3 so should be hitting green😂). Greens could do with a little work but still playable! Enjoyed it and will be back

Nice layout but it is a course that will test your golfing brain as well as your swing. Nice club with bar and food, and plenty of room to sit outside. Putting green and golf range. Plenty of parking space. The natives were friendly as well.

What a great course, I took my son for his first ever full golf game (James 33) and it was so forgiving (but still a challenge) that he wants to play again. The course was very well kept and the greens (once they are settled) will be great to play on. The staff were very friendly and the shop Pro was welcoming and helpful. All in all I do recommend this course and all those who work there.

Good price, well maintained course (most of time) friendly staff and patrons.
