I had already scared off two companies with my plans for paving. The scary bit for these guys was a 'picky' customer with plans for, amongst other things, a central patio with curved edging, using irregularly shaped York stone of varying thicknesses. I also wanted them to maintain my layout of the stones as I had placed them on the ground. There were no spares! Jonathan's response was to try and reassure me that it was 'no problem'. We went with Jonathan firstly because I believed him and secondly because no one else would quote! When it came to it his guys carefully marked and lifted each stone and laid them out on the adjoining beds thus maintaining the layout. And when the base was ready they relaid them perfectly. The further block paving paths, small rear patio, turfing and fencing was finished perfectly. It had rained much of the time, so when, a few days after they had finished and the stones had dried out, I noticed one of them had dried noticeably lighter, I messaged Jonathan. He explain that this stone was used because it fitted better, but not to worry - Gary will be around to switch it back. A week later Gary came round and got stuck in. I went to check on how it was looking as he was tiding up. It took a while to find the reinstated stone and only could because the pointing was still wet. Their work is top notch, on time and no surprises when it came to settling up. Communication was reassuringly responsive. I really couldn't recommend them more highly!

We highly recommend Jonathan and his team at Lloyd’s Gardens of London. Jonathan spent a lot of time working with us to get the layout right and making the most of our budget. The guys on site were very friendly and left the place neat and tidy at the end of each day. Our dog is very much missing their company! The finished garden has transformed an overgrown mess to a split level landscape of decking areas and lawn, surrounded with raised planters. We pretty much spend a bit of every day out there now, it’s our favourite room in the house!

We used Lloyds for a major 14 week project rebuilding our back garden. Jonathan and Gary helped us navigate through the process from design to completion. Our garden looks beautiful but has been built to stand the test of time, from the underlying construction to the materials used. The team were extremely hard working, thoughtful and a pleasure to have on site. They also kept our dog entertained (and fed) during lunch breaks.

This is the second time we have used Lloyds on a garden project, and we were very happy with the job done at our previous address. For this larger project at our new home, we were in no doubt as to who to use. Jonathan, Gary and the team were exemplary throughout, initially advising on design and working collaboratively to meet our needs and wants whilst guiding us as to the best ways to overcome technical difficulties (sloping garden, drainage issues) in ways which enhanced the beauty of the end result. Jonathan’s advice and experience in selecting materials and ensuring the best foundations for the project was invaluable. When it came to the build itself, we couldn’t have been more happy. Jonathan and Gary have skilled, dedicated and hard working team. Always punctual, always exceeding expectations, creative, adaptable and prepared to go the extra mile. The team work quietly and diligently, are thoughtful and polite (everything always left tidy). We really miss having the guys around now they are gone! Our project involved hard and soft landscaping, planting, irrigation, electrics, lighting, fence replacement and tree surgery - Jonathan managed the whole project seamlessly with transparent and prompt communication. What really sets Lloyds apart is the attention to detail - from selecting materials, to ensuring straight cuts, to lining up every plank of decking and every screw to the millimetre. They are perfectionists. In the end, we couldn’t be more happy with the result or the process and would recommend Lloyds without hesitation.
