We could not be happier with our wall (and back garden fence too). The Terra Firma guys building it were so good at their job, were happy to discuss the work, advise and make changes. They also could not have been more thoughtful when walking through the house – always laying dust sheets or taking their boots off, and taking care not to let the cats out, or the cold in. Neighbours have admired the wall too, and asked us for details of the company. A perfect job!

We used Terra Firma for our gardening project in June. I found their communication top notch and was happy with the design and advice they offered. We had Luca and Sean carry out the job every day for around 2-3 weeks. We appreciated the consistency and found them to be hard working and came with a good sense of humour - something that's important when welcoming trades people into your home. We are very happy with the outcome and would recommend this firm to anyone.

Right from the start when Josh from Terra Firma came to give us a quote for a replacement fence, they have been great to deal with. They gave a detailed quote, with different options, and were competitive compared to five other quotes. They were flexible on start times to fit in with our needs. George and Lee worked hard over four days in sometimes awful weather, including thunder storms, and didn't falter when unexpected things came their way, like huge ivy roots. They helped our neighbours to cut down some of their overgrown ivy roots. The garden is on a slope with a wood at the rear. They had to adapt the fence to allow for the different levels. Both we and our neighbours are really pleased with the end result. George and Lee very kindly offered to lug our own large bags of garden waste through my house so we can add it to our garden waste collection bin at the front. They did us a huge favour and chopped down a very overgrown holly (a small tree). Highly recommend and will definitely use again for any garden design/maintenance.

I would highly recommend Terra Firma, they have transformed our garden as shown in the before and after photos. They stuck to timings and costs throughout, very reliable communication channel with Adam, and Sergei and Oleg are men of few words but mighty deeds and an incredible range of skills that delivered exactly what we wanted.

We had our rear garden fencing replaced and it has truly transformed the appearance of our garden. From the first visit by Josh to the onsite work carried out by Luke and Harry we can't praise them highly enough. Luke and Harry were friendly and approachable and were meticulous in their work, true artists at work and their attention to detail was exemplary. Charles Audsley and the Chase Gardens team have transformed our neglected back garden into a green oasis that gives us pleasure every day. Charlie listened carefully to our brief and designed a garden with a wisteria-hung pergola to eat under, a terrace to enjoy the sunshine and exactly the soft, English planting we wanted. Although it was only planted a few months ago, already the garden looks established and inviting. Charlie and his team did a great job for us. Charlie came up with a simple but really effective plan for the space and filled it with interesting and beautiful plants. He gave us a clear timeline and all the work was completed as expected and on time. His team worked hard and were super polite and very careful not to bring mud into the house which wasn't easy! I feel so lucky to have found Austen. The other reviews here were spot-on. He was extremely responsive, bang on time, super friendly, and so kind to explain all the plants we have and how we can take care of them. We were actually stressed out about our garden getting out of control for a long time, and it really wasn’t easy to find help. Loved my visit here, beautiful garden with ponds and benches to relax and absorb the surroundings and friendly staff were helpful. Participated in the introduction to gardening workshop which was great and some of their workshops is free to local borough residents. The gardens is a short walk from walworth road buses and shops.

After a short course with the fantastic Tracy, I got more even interested in gardening, the land. Tracy's depth of understanding of serious environmental concerns and how to work with nature, not for superficial short term, was inspiring. Down to earth, if you'll pardon the pun. They have environmental gardening courses up to Diploma, and short workshops, one free/council+ funded for Southwark residents a year! As well great advice, landscaping + and an array of plants grown on site for sale. Very committed team too. I've got too many photos to share but a few from the last month.

This local garden centre is a wonderful place, well run by staff & volunteers, and very reasonably priced. The staff have very extensive knowledge of all the plants they sell, and there is so much to explore. There are some greenhouses, a few bee hives, and a large outdoor plant area too. We always enjoy coming here because the quality of the plants for the cost is exceptional, better than many other places.

I love it here, it’s an inspiring place to go hidden in a pocket of London you wouldn’t even know to look out for. Prices for plants are a little more than I’m used to paying, but the knowledgeable and friendly staff, the locally-grown plants and its charity status make it more than worth it. I even bought some of their home-grown plant food from their own wormery. I bought enough plants to refill my window box and it’s all growing happily :)

What a brilliant team Urban Gardeners are! From booking the service, to completing the job, they are complete professionals. The gardeners arrived early and were super efficient in clearing my garden. And the added bonus is they charge a great price. Usually my Dad takes care of the garden, but because of his recent health issues the garden had become really overgrown. I tried to tackle it myself, but I didn’t have the right tools for the job. I started looking for a company to clear the garden, which is when I discovered Urban Gardeners online and contacted them. Correspondence with Plamena was superb: all emails were answered promptly and professionally. Pricing was clearly explained and I was happy to proceed with a mutually agreed date and time. The two gentlemen that came to the house were polite, considerate to our home, and amongst the hardest working people I’ve ever encountered. The weather was really hot on the day they came, but they still grafted despite the heat. They did an excellent job of clearing our garden, and were done within an hour (initially we thought it would take 3hrs). So even with us also paying for removal of the garden waste, it was still cheaper than we expected. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I’ve already recommended them to several of my colleagues and clients. If in the future I can persuade my Dad to pave or turf the garden this is the company I’ll be calling.

A huge thank you to the Urban Gardeners team for transforming our garden here in Peckham, SE London. The garden was previously in very bad shape (rotten decking, steps, and dying / weed-ridden lawn. The team did an amazing job of clearing everything out (including removal of a tree!) and then building an entirely new and extended hard-wood deck and stairs / landing and also replacing the lawn with the beautiful stripes you can see! Communication throughout from Plamena was great and with the team on the ground they were very good at asking questions and making small adjustments as required throughout the process. I requested a few small changes to the initial quote and this was dealt with in a very friendly and flexible way. The team were very pleasant throughout, got rid of all the mess, and also did the whole thing for a very fair and reasonable price. If you ever need an escape from anything, or just want to stare at some beautiful plants for hours, this is the place to go! I love the collection of philodendrons and Alocasia here🪴 Prices for rare plants are really affordable comparing to shopping on some of the rare plant websites. The big Thai constellation is on sale for almost half price. I highly recommend the candles as well.

Five stars doesn’t seem enough, I’d happily give it ten if I could. What a fabulous addition to Camberwell. Great range of pots and plants, much nicer than your average garden centre. Lots of hanging pots and trailing plants to choose from. Also selling gifts (candles etc) and cards, lovely fresh smelling shop that really lifts your spirits. The staff are enthusiastic helpful and friendly. Just what lock London needs.
