After visiting Bell House we walked to this garden centre. It's a small place, but what they can't fit inside they put outside on the pavement! There are so many single plants, trays of both bedding plants and hanging basket ones. We bought more than we planned! Staff are lovely, too. Will visit again.

This family-owned garden centre is definitely my favourite go-to place when looking for new plants and pots for my garden. Their indoor plant are is a bit small but their outdoor plants is huge! It’s got everything you need, including herbs and vegetables. The people that work there are super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Urban Gardeners South East London

32 Allenswood Rd, London SE9 6RP, UK | General Contractor
P: 07760 800457

Rating: 4.7 (102) Price Level:

A huge thank you to the Urban Gardeners team for transforming our garden here in Peckham, SE London. The garden was previously in very bad shape (rotten decking, steps, and dying / weed-ridden lawn. The team did an amazing job of clearing everything out (including removal of a tree!) and then building an entirely new and extended hard-wood deck and stairs / landing and also replacing the lawn with the beautiful stripes you can see! Communication throughout from Plamena was great and with the team on the ground they were very good at asking questions and making small adjustments as required throughout the process. I requested a few small changes to the initial quote and this was dealt with in a very friendly and flexible way. The team were very pleasant throughout, got rid of all the mess, and also did the whole thing for a very fair and reasonable price. Would 100% recommend to people who are looking for high quality garden / landscaping work done for affordable prices. Thank you! Harrison & Camilla

What a brilliant team Urban Gardeners are! From booking the service, to completing the job, they are complete professionals. The gardeners arrived early and were super efficient in clearing my garden. And the added bonus is they charge a great price. I mentioned to them I will be looking into landscaping at some point in the not too distant future and would not look anywhere else for this. I have also recommended them to my sister. Thank you, see you again in approximately 6 weeks!

Usually my Dad takes care of the garden, but because of his recent health issues the garden had become really overgrown. I tried to tackle it myself, but I didn’t have the right tools for the job. I started looking for a company to clear the garden, which is when I discovered Urban Gardeners online and contacted them. Correspondence with Plamena was superb: all emails were answered promptly and professionally. Pricing was clearly explained and I was happy to proceed with a mutually agreed date and time. The two gentlemen that came to the house were polite, considerate to our home, and amongst the hardest working people I’ve ever encountered. The weather was really hot on the day they came, but they still grafted despite the heat. They did an excellent job of clearing our garden, and were done within an hour (initially we thought it would take 3hrs). So even with us also paying for removal of the garden waste, it was still cheaper than we expected. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I’ve already recommended them to several of my colleagues and clients. If in the future I can persuade my Dad to pave or turf the garden this is the company I’ll be calling.

If you ever need an escape from anything, or just want to stare at some beautiful plants for hours, this is the place to go! I love the collection of philodendrons and Alocasia here🪴 Prices for rare plants are really affordable comparing to shopping on some of the rare plant websites. The big Thai constellation is on sale for almost half price. I highly recommend the candles as well.

Five stars doesn’t seem enough, I’d happily give it ten if I could. What a fabulous addition to Camberwell. Great range of pots and plants, much nicer than your average garden centre. Lots of hanging pots and trailing plants to choose from. Also selling gifts (candles etc) and cards, lovely fresh smelling shop that really lifts your spirits. The staff are enthusiastic helpful and friendly. Just what lock London needs.

Always wonderful help and service. Good suggestions, helpful staff and lots a healthy plants and nice pots. My fave plant shop to go to . Time to repot my huge stralitzia and staff have been very helpful with advice. Thanks team. Oh, and thanks for the little bits of broken pottery to help with the drainage, very thoughtful and appreciated. Edit:. At 7.5 feet tall, he's grown to be a big boy, the repotting clearly worked. Dropped in today to get some leaf shine/cleaner and as always the staff were amazing helping me choose and explain the easiest way to clean.

I don't really know where to start as the place is so fantastic, and the staff are absolutely amazing. They grow so many things here I really couldn't list them all, so I have taken lots of pictures so you can see every part of the Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses. As I said the staff are amazing, they help everyone in the community including school children by teaching them about all the plants they grow. When we arrived today there was a mother and baby group using the facilities. They have volunteers that come and help, this is great for people that live in flats and like gardening, it also helps people that feel isolated to get out and meet people. Anyway I could go on for ages, but I won't, just go and see it for yourselves, you definitely won't be disappointed. If you like this review, can you please click the like symbol below. Thank you!

Farmer Will did a fantastic job of putting up a new fence and cutting back/clearing a lot of our very overgrown garden. He and his colleague were reliable, polite and immaculately tidy. Our neighbour was so impressed with the job that he asked us to share Will’s details with him! We’ll definitely be asking him to come back!

Thanks Will for saving our bonsai box tree, and being so meticulous and thorough about coming and fumigating our tree against Chinese caterpillar, coming not only once or twice but many times to give advice and see that the little pests did not come back again. You are always ready to help and suggest and it is much appreciated.

Will and his team literally transformed our garden and were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. We had used Will before for tree cutting, turf laying and general maintenance but decided to get a new deck, fence and artificial lawn this year due to a muddy new puppy! It has exceeded all our expectations. Looks like we had a designer in to plan it but Will just knew what he was doing and nailed it in less than 3 weeks. Looking out at our fairy lit tree this winter (thanks for going to extra mile Will!) instead of a muddy pit we are beyond happy with it. Would whole heartedly recommend him.

Amazing park in South London with a walled garden, lido, tennis courts, ponds, clock tower and wonderful mature trees.

Anonymous - a week ago

Rating: 5 / 5

The park is spacious, making it great for running and walking dogs. The small pond area is peaceful, with cormorants, swans, various ducks, and the occasional heron. The walled garden is a nice spot to relax and read. The café in the main house isn’t open yet (expected to reopen in March), and the food trucks on-site are fairly bland.

Good park with a number of benches, a lot of open field space, a couple tiny ponds, children playground as well as tennis and cricket courts. The field surface was not evenly covered with grass though and there was a lot of mud. The WCs were closed for maintenance too

Large parks are filled with people of various leaning in thoughts, race, religion, profession, societal status, etc. This park is a melting pot of some sort for the relaxation desires of people regardless of their unique nature. The lush greenery of grass, trees, and other plants is a beauty to behold. The view of the other parts of London from the elevated region of the park is overwhelming.
