I recently had to have my fuse box moved from up in the eaves to downstairs for safety and easier access. The lovely gents from Wessex Electrical came to do it. They were great. They kept me informed all the time, they were very polite and respectful of my home. Cleaned up any mess and basically did a fantastic job. It wasn't easy to move but they did it without complaining. Would definitely recommend Wessex Electricals, no job is too big or too small.

Job was done brilliantly, engineer showed up on time on the scheduled day, explained patiently what is going to be done and how long will it take. Very professional and polite, wonderful man! He took into consideration that english is not my first language and he made sure i understand him. We are very happy with the results. I'm very grateful for the preciseness of the job. Engineer left our property cleaned and ready to use, honestly we haven't seen such good work ethic from a very long time.

Extremely kind and careful customer service department! Absolutely professionals with the calls arranging the suitable time, with the accuracy from the engineers at the days of the visits and the way how they completed their job! We were extremely satisfied and happy from their service! I could give my 100% recommendation to this company! I've been meaning to visit this local pub for years. It's recently been taken over so thought we would give it a try. The interior is fresh, cosy and comfortable with a bar and restaurant area so you can take your pick. There are two great aspects here, the people and the food. You can tell it's a good team, the service was friendly and relaxed and one reason I would definitely go back for. The food was also great quality. A good range a vegetarian options and general choice, and excellent pizzas with dough from a local baker. Overall I would say this is a must visit and definitely a local business that needs supporting. They have the balance between service and food spot on!

Just had the Christmas roast and it was absolute perfection. I had the turkey and my good lady had the beef (which I got huge food envy over!). Portions were immense, we've all left very full and happy!!

We had a fluorescent light that was not working in our bathroom. GF Electrical arranged a quick appointment and Charlie visited us. He explained he work that needed to be done; it was completed quickly and professionally. We have used GF Electrical since 2009 and the service is always friendly and professional.

Amazing bacon roll and homemade millionaire shortbread. The owner was lovely looking after my bike while I went to the toilet. It might not look fancy but you'll not get a better service and the food was great. Will visit again.

The cafe is named for its proximity to the former homes of Thomas Hardy and William Barnes among others and its current poet in Residence David Caddy. We booked a last minute room last night as we were meant to stay at the Royal Oak but they messed up and sold our room to someone else. So we were panicking as we were 4hours away from home at 18:30pm. I found the Langton arms on booking.com and immediately booked it. We had a warm welcome and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay lovely. The food was amazing and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Thank you to everyone at the Langton arms for making what was stressed and sad night to a one that we will never forget. And we are truly hoping to be back in the future!

Decent food, excellent friendly service. Went here for group Sunday pub lunch following a walk. Food was cooked to a good standard and staff were very accommodating without being fussy. However the meal felt slightly on the pricey side (over £10 for most starters and £22± for most main courses) . Would otherwise be happy to recommend. Thank you

We didn't stay here in accomodation as we stayed about a 5min walk away. The staff we excellent and the food was amazing. Although they run out of white bait as a starter the chef offered a mix of calamari and what white bait was left. Can't fault the food and the staff. As a table of 11 it was amazing and they were hosting a party also. Well done to all staff on Saturday night. Oh if you visit, I would recommend the scotch egg starter, stunning. Well done

The pub itself is a historic building, beautiful area and fantastic food and drink. Some might say it's expensive, but when you learn where the ingredients come from and the owners care and devotion it's a whole experience. I can't comment on the rooms as I've never used them.

Visited here twice for food whilst on our stay and we were certainly not disappointed at all. As you can see from our photos from our evening meals they were delicious, they were presented well and they tasted fantastic. Well worth the money we paid and the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It's also dog friendly and our dog loved it as well. Do not miss out when visiting Stourpaine.

Lovely traditional pub with a wide range of beer and good food. We visited on a Thursday evening and it was pretty busy. I think it is one of the only pubs in Stourpaine, but service was great and the food was lovely. I had the steak pudding and chips, which I've not had for years but it was gorgeous. My wife had ham, egg and chips, which again she said tasted delicious. The pub has a whole raft of service mens hats dotted throughout the place and has had a visit by King Charles when he was a prince. Lovely place, well worth a visit.

This is a treasure of a pub. The staff are really friendly and the local's are happy to chat. What marks this pub out from others is the great selection or beers and tasty wines. They also cater for those who are not drinking alchol or are driving with a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks that actually taste great. The chef here is unbelivably good. We have dined during one of his Thai evenings and the food is beyond belief. This pub is doing things right when it comes to Roasts as well. A Big sharing veg (bowl after bowl keeps coming out) along with a great selection of meats. The sharing roast is brilliant and the quality of ingredients is top notch. They also have an excellent menu on offer during the week as well, in the pictures we had the Breakfast Scotch Egg, Pig Croquettes, Steak and the Sticky Biscoffee pudding. All amazing. - Wednesday is steak night which is 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £40 which is brilliant value.

Sorry for the delay in posting, We came here at the end of May this year, the staff were very friendly and helpful they even catered for my daughter who really struggles with certain foods coming into contact with each other and has lactose intolerance, the chef was most helpful and even came out to chat with us, the food was excellent and well worth it. We are looking forward to going back hopefully on our way back from Hampshire 23rd Aug 2024. Thank you to all the team.

I love this pub. Friendly bar staff. I have found Locals are friendly and open to chat. The chef is amazing and always happy to accommodate people's needs and tastes. I enjoy the selection of ale which changes reg ( always have London pride on tap though) so this is my favorite pub.

I can honestly say my partner and I have just had the best roast dinner we’ve ever had. Being vegetarian we don’t usually bother to go out for dinner in Dorset as we’re often given bland boiled veg. The chef, Adam, and staff at the Stour Inn went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we could possible want (crispy potatoes, garlic greens, cauliflower cheese, HUGE yorkshires…). Staff were so friendly and the pub has a wonderful atmosphere. We’ve already booked again for next weekend. Thank you!!

What a little gem of a pub!! Sadly no photos, but I can attest to the food being fabulous. I loved the creativity of the chef. Incredible scotch eggs, and his quirky Indian chocolate orange with a curry anglaise - whilst it sounds wrong on paper - was one of the best things I’ve had in yonks!!! Great local pub with cosmopolitan content. We loved it! 😍

I'm from Australia and visited with local friends when passing through this part of England. I believe the restaurant is relatively new but it didn't matter as the service was first right and the food and beverage offerings were really impressive. A wide range of offerings on the menu and you won't be disappointed if you come here after authentic delicious Italian food.

Highly recommend a visit here. Wonderful restaurant with a lovely ambiance. Staff are polite, professional and helpful. Food is absolutely gorgeous. Rich opulent flavours that deliver absolute joy on a plate. Fantastic place if you're on your own, having a date or meeting up with a friend or group to celebrate a special occasion. I always check out the toilets in restaurants because it says a lot about the hygiene of the place. I found them to be clean and tidy. I will be visiting again for some truly unforgettable pasta! What a lovely quaint tea room which became very popular at lunchtime on our arrival. Only had to wait a few minutes when proprietor advised us a table was about to become free after being cleaned. Once seated and served with choice of refreshments, it was some 20 minutes before food was presented. Well worth the wait as we were in no haste as on holiday. Obviously, the tables filled very quickly hence the wait. The sign above the counter states, 'We don't serve fast food, We serve fresh food, As fast as we possibly can'. A very true statement given the excellent service.

Popped in on your way through the town and found a super tea room, highly recommend. We had cream tea and Dorset apple cake, lovely warm scone, beautiful tea set. Obviously a tea room run on love and care.

I have been before but my friend had not and we both enjoyed our lunch. She was impressed with the choice of food and teas/coffees and loved the ambience. My rarebit was tasty and she said her fish quiche was delicious but a very generous portion that she couldn't finish. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We will certainly be back.

An incredible hidden gem! Staff were so helpful and friendly. Having a large booking they rang the day before to confirm brought over extra chairs when required as well. The food was incredible the portions don’t look big but I left so full and having had the best time! The dishes were so aesthetically pleasing to the eye and had one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had. Only criticism is for the scones more jam and cream required on the afternoon teas but it was still delicious nonetheless.

We had the Halloumi Wrap and the Roasted Veg. Hummus Avocado Baguette. Both were delicious. Nice setting and a large menu generally with some more vegan options such as the Butternut Squash Soup. Good pricing too and service.
