This is a nice little café near the university. It serves differents options to eat, different types of coffee and the decor and music in the background is good. I personally would use a different type of coffee but it's up to taste.

P: 01202 880593

Rating: 4.5 (475) Price Level:

I have dined at this gem of a restaurant twice and each time the experience is fantastic. The food is basic but beautifully cooked and presented. The service is superb and always with a smile. Wonderful friendly atmosphere both downstairs or upstairs. The final flourish is that the bill will be as pleasing as the experience. Very well worth a visit.

Second time I've been here for breakfast, and I've been impressed both time! Dog Friendly! We arrived around half 11 on a Saturday morning and the place was bustling and full with lots of tables booked up. We ended up sitting outside which was still really nice! Would definitely visit again. Breakfast Bagel, Pancakes and Coffee all delicious. Worth calling to book to make sure you get a table!

Our first time in Wimborne and this cafe was recommended to us. A lovely, traditional English menu. We got the veggie and big breakfast. Both were amazing. Very tasty and that egg was gorgeous! It is a very clean and cosy cafe with friendly staff who are very efficient. They have cute bathrooms upstairs also.

We had warm paninis served with salad and coleslaw and a cold drink. Service was faultless from start to finish and tables were kept tidy and clean. Very extensive menu and everyone around us seemed hapoy with their orders. Nice atmosphere. We sat outside but I did go inside and it also looked lovely.

Aroma is one of my favourite places for lunch as you are simply spoilt for choice! The menu is plentiful with sandwich choices, paninis, baps as well as having daily specials! On my most recent visit I opted for the Duck Pizza which was incredible! The service is also spectacular, the staff are super helpful and friendly, food & drinks arrived very fast; and staff ensured you always leave with a smile on your face. Overall would strongly recommend Aroma, and the Wimborne branch is equally as great as their others!

Greeting by friendly and happy staff, it felt like being welcomed into a family home. Order taken promptly and food served quickly even though it was fairly busy. I had the Chicken Fajita off of the specials menu which was absolutely delicious and a great portion size, it could’ve been a sharer for two. Highly recommend and a big thank you to the team.

Buzzing atmosphere and good quality food but slghtly expensive for what it is. We had to wait a long time for our drinks, even though our food came quickly. Also a horrible smell around the toilets - possibly some sort of sewer issue.

Absolutely amazing - We had our wedding at this venue yesterday and it was so lovely. The food was top tier and we are so happy with how the entire day turned out. The entire staff were so precise and delicate, we are truly blessed to have had our wedding here. If anyone is thinking about booking an event here I would definitely give the venue a call or pop down when it's open to have a look around. Very affordable and we will be visiting Monks Yard often to enjoy all that the venue/cafe has to offer! A big thank you to the whole team🎉🎊

Fantastic family run restaurant. Small menu. But great quality. Specials of the day also. What makes this place is the people who run it. They remember you. Willing to go the extra mile. Value for money. Car park to the rear. Gets busy, so book in advance. Suitable for disabled people.

Good, consistent coffee and a nice chilled atmosphere with lots of space. A few times I’ve visited the tables haven’t been properly wiped and the floor in the bathroom was wet. Improving the cleaning standards would definitely make a difference!

Really 4.5, great tea, coffee, loved the toasties and atmosphere/decor. The half star deduction is because table tops needed a wipe, and there was cake and cutlery on the floor that needed sweeping.

I honestly don’t think this needs endless paragraphs to describe the experience, So I’ll just bullet point my views. • Parking isn’t cheap but where is cheap these days?! • Great day out for the family • Feeling at one with nature • Plenty of options when it comes to play areas for the children. • You can spend all day within the park as time fly’s by before you know it. • Children can feel grown up for one day. First the children get their pictures took for their license. Then they test drive around in a circle before tackling the obstacle course in a mini Land Rover. It was brilliant. • The mini train was an awesome experience. Made me feel like a little kid again. I’m 33 by the way. • Go Ape is available but we didn’t plan for that as it’s half a days activity in my eyes. • Dogs are welcome but there isn’t many bins knocking around so you will be carrying the dog poo for a while. • Toilets are situated at the start near the parking next to the cafe area. Make sure you go before you start your journey around the park. Otherwise you will be taking a trip into the trees/bushes. I probably could say more but again.. only YOU can truly have an opinion on what YOU think of the park. This is just what I think. However, I shall definitely be going again with the family.

So cool! So many things to do and play on. I am a wheelchair user and used an Alber e-fix 35 on this with no issue at all except the bridge over the railway as it's too steep (I later found out you can follow the path to the second stop and catch it from there). The restaurant and visitor areas are decently accessible. Would defo go again and again

Came for the Halloween trail and was not dissapointed. The trail was filled with spooky sounds and exciting light displays, the staff along were also great fun and engaging with the visitors. The only downside was the parking as it was a special event so took a little while to find a spot but the parking staff kept the queues going as fast as they could.

Gullivers Farm Shop & Kitchen

Station Rd, West Moors, Ferndown BH22 0JG, UK | Food Store
P: 01202 806500

Rating: 4.6 (313) Price Level:

I’ve been a regular customer at Gulliver’s Farm Shop for quite some time, and it’s been wonderful to watch it grow and evolve. They offer a delightful menu featuring biodynamic food straight from their farm, and the quality of the food is outstanding, especially for the price. One of the highlights for us is that when an adult orders a meal, children's meals are just £1 – a fantastic value for families! What makes Gulliver's even more special is their commitment to employing individuals with disabilities, providing meaningful support and opportunities to adults with varying needs. It feels great to support such a worthy cause while enjoying a meal. The play area is perfect for kids to run around, and the play trail is a lovely addition after a meal. I highly recommend Gulliver’s Farm Shop to friends and will continue to do so."

Brilliant for brunch - yesterday was the first time we’ve been back since the new kitchen has gone in. We were both wowed by “Dom’s Special” which was the best avocado, salsa, chilli jam, poached egg on sourdough: accompanied by perfect cappuccino and tea. Thank you!

Gullivers Farm Shop & Kitchen is a gem for families and the community! We thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas events for our little ones! The food is fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared, with superb coffee that’s hard to beat. The shop is full of organic, local produce, and the whole place has a warm, welcoming vibe. We loved the family-friendly activities like meeting the farm animals and the play area for kids. What really stands out is the amazing work they do to support adults with varying support needs, creating opportunities and a real sense of community. It’s a fantastic place for great food, great coffee, and a meaningful experience!

We had a fab time here this morning. It was very wet and muddy after all the rain we've had recently but my kids loved splashing on the trail. I even enjoyed a hot coffee while they played in the play area and my 3yo was thrilled with her gluten free brownie! Fab facilities, clean toilets and baby changing area. We will be back 😀

We were camping at Dapplewood campsite just down the road and walked to the Old Inn for drinks and an evening meal. Staff are very friendly and made a fuss of our dog, couldn't be more helpful. I can recommend Tanglefoot ale it went down very well, well all 5 did. I had the Old Inn pizza with french fried & my partner had the beef stroganoff, all the food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Highly recommend coming here if your in the area. We'll be back soon 😋

Went here on 24/09 for a last minute big booking midday sit-down and I honestly don't think I've been to a better pub in my life. Great staff, great food and ensconced in a wonderful old building full of character. If you're thinking about visiting, stop dillydallying and get on with it. Even better considering we gave them an hour's notice. I recommend the Beef Short Rib.

We had a lovely pre booked weekday family meal here (4 Adults, 2 children) whilst away on holiday in the new forest. We were greeted at the bar as we walked in and promptly shown to our table. The lady serving our table was very nice and very helpful when asked for information about the menu. We ordered our drinks which were almost instantly delivered to us. The menu has a good variety to suit most, Food was brought out fairly quickly and was of a high standard and I would highly recommend the beef and red wine lasagna. Very clean and well kept. Easy access by car with plenty of parking available I felt it was priced well for the high quality of food and brilliant service (not cheap but not massively expensive). Definitely would recommend and definitely would visit again.

A very homely and spacious pub with beautifully presented food. However, 3 of the starters came out cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen, they were particularly officiant at resolving this issue. We had a group of 11 pre-booked in advance; food came out in reasonable time. Waiters were very attentive and it was a lovely atmosphere.

Lovely old English country pub with a great cosy feel inside. I expect the open fires are kit on cold evenings and there are some really comfy looking armchairs and sofas. The public are side was empty so difficult to gauge atmosphere but the restaurant side was buzzing lunchtime on a Tuesday midday. I onlyhadaquickpint so. wasn't offered a menu so didn't see the food selection. Judging by the amount of people thr food is good.. lots of parking front and rear.

Lovely pub with log fire (in use) plenty of parking, large beer garden and good choice of drinks. We had a light lunch, fish finger sandwiches, beef brisket and small snacks for our 1 year old. Food was very nice and fairly quick, lovely staff, although more choice for a light lunch would be nice, perhaps more sandwiches or something homemade like sauces for dipping. Definitely recommend, dogs also welcome!
