I booked this hotel on my long distance walk through the UK mainly as it was convenient for walking to the highest point in Dorset at Lewesdon Hill. What a great place for a weary traveller! Karen is a great host, very responsive and attentive. The home cooking she presented to me in the evening was delicious, as was the full breakfast the next morning. The rooms, recently tastefully refurbished, were very clean and comfortable. A very personal and historic place to stay. Fantastic experience!

We had a really lovely time at the Old George for a mid-week break. The room and en suite were beautifully decorated, full of lots of thoughtful touches when we arrived. We had a delicious cooked breakfast, and spent the morning walking through the local country side before visiting Lyme Regis. Karen was such a wonderful host, and made it feel like a home from home. Particularly loved the luxury lounge where we played chess and sampled the cocktail menu! Thanks so much Karen x

Beautiful decor, the most comfortable bed ever, the warmest welcome and amazing breakfasts - this B&B is really lovely. Can’t recommend enough!
