Working with Mario has been fantastic! He did engineered wood flooring and bespoke shelving for us. The quality of the work has been exceptional and he was also ready to solve any difficulties along the way, as for example levelling the floor, repair broken steps etc. Moreover, the pricings were all in line with the quote and very reasonable.

We have just had our kitchen completely refurbished by Mario and we couldn’t be happier! The whole service has been so professional and personal, right from giving us advice and ideas in the design stage to suggestions on materials and some design adjustments on the way to make our kitchen work better for us. The level of craftsmanship and detail is fantastic and the quality of the materials such as the oak doors is better than any kitchens we have seen on offer from both the mainstream and more bespoke kitchen companies out there. His pricing compared to other companies for the same standard of work is exceptionally reasonable. We are beyond happy with the end result and everything about our kitchen has exceeded our expectations. We have used Mario now for our bedroom fitted wardrobes and kitchen and couldn’t recommend him enough. We will 100% be using him again. Thank you.

I was looking for someone to make me a custom vanity, it became very difficult to find someone, and then I came across drayton bespoke carpentry. I got in touch straight away and was greated by Phil via phone call/email. The communication throughout the process was like no other buisness, i immediately put my project in the hands of Phil due to the passion and pride he has for his job. His prices are fair but extremely well made and good quality ( which is hard to find these days), I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending drayton bespoke carpentry and passing Phils number on. I am truly in love with the furniture he created for me, as he not only made it but he also helped me work out dimensions, materials, ect. Took a huge weight of my shoulders I would 100% recommend.

Phil has recently completed the most beautiful set of 4 fitted bookcases with cupboards below and a cupboard across the bay window. We are thrilled! Phil developed a design based on our basic needs and the finished effect is amazing: he has such good aesthetic sense and attention to detail. He is tidy and considerate and goes the extra mile: he offered to do our skirting boards too so that the fit with the cupboards is immaculate. Would definitely ask Phil back. And a thoroughly nice man as well as being a highly talented professional; a great experience! (Will add photos later)

If you’re thinking of having Phil undertake carpentry at your house please do not hesitate. He is a consummate professional, excellent at his craft and on top of that a really friendly bloke. We wanted a bespoke staircase fitted in our home, modelled on the original 1960s open tread staircase, and Phil did an excellent job (see photos). He worked so hard to make the staircase practical and beautiful and we have had so many comments on how beautiful it is. We would happily use Phil again and recommend him to friends and family.

Their craftsmanship and attention to detail was amazing. We recently had a media wall installed by them, and the entire process was seamless from start to finish. From the initial consultation where they listened attentively to our ideas and requirements and tailored the design specifically to our needs, to the delivery and install. Well, what can I say…. It’s hard to find genuine firms in the building trade but Steve and the team are amazing. It’s the second time I have used them, the first being 11 years ago and the latest, last month in 2025. They have only got better with time. A building firm that is on time, trustworthy and courteous. They do what they can say, rather than what you want to hear. Just realistic timelines and honesty. We felt very happy to leave keys and free access, which is rare. Above all, they are excellent at their craft, coping with very awkward roof lines and my picky ways! I feel that SSH are a big enough company to deal with anything thrown at them but small enough to care and I felt a really personal touch was offered. It’s a stressful and dirty environment living through building works and this care does make a difference. In terms of pricing from my quotes, they are not the cheapest in Sutton but they are definitely not the most expensive. If you want honest, hardworking genuine builders you cannot go wrong with them. I would not use anyone else. Highly recommend.

The core SSH team of Steve, Mike and Sam completed a fantastic stunning quality job which involved pretty much all of their trusted trades partners for architectural design, demolition, building, landscaping, kitchen, bathroom, electrics, plumbing, a green energy system through to final decoration. I undertook, what was to me, a very daunting roof off, walls down, ground up complete renovation and extension of our long time family home and garden. I was wowed with their customer care, attention to detail and fairness with the contract & variations. Their pace of work was amazing too with the complete transformation completed by all the trades in just 9 months.

I have used SSH Construction on numerous occasions over the years, starting with a simple kitchen and bathroom installation. Following that, I entrusted them with a complete house refurbishment and extension, and later relied on their expertise for extensive refitting work in my office and factory unit, which included the creation of a brand-new canteen. Scott came to do some panelling, build a bespoke cupboard and fit a ceiling rose. His workmanship is excellent. My living room is transformed! We used Scott from 1st Choice Carpentry & Building to install our new kitchen. He did a fantastic job for us - installed to a really high standard, with minimal disruption. Scott is polite and friendly, and a tidy worker. He kept us informed about everything during the process. Would recommend using Scott, searched through quite a few carpenters on google before deciding to use his services. I have been using this company for years for many carpentry jobs including new doors and associated ironmongery etc. Structural floors and finishing works. 🥇 Only small draw back is that they don't do all the building work i need , like plumbing. 😄

I had Paul to fit 9 doors and I'm very please they look great and good quality. Nothing was too much bother and he cleaned up after and took my old doors away. Paul fitted 8 new cottage style doors in our Victorian Semi to replace the original 140 year old pine ones that were really showing their age The transformation is amazing. The doors he supplied were already coated in a nice primed finish, and actually were exactly the same colour as our choice of paint, which was Creme Del la Creme in the French Chic range ,so we only had to paint the sides he individually planed to fit . Paul did a fabulous job building this understairs storage for us plus building a cupboard elsewhere. He was responsive to texts, turned up on time and very reasonably priced. A very clean and tidy job. So good in fact, our neighbours have now poached him! 😄
