This is a review for the bar restaurant as we didn't stay. We were staying nearby and dropped in for a meal and a drink. They are very dog friendly, which was great for us. The lady at the bar was incredibly helpful and made us really welcome straight away. This is a proper old fashioned venue where the owner and staff go out of their way to be hospitable. Food was traditional pub fare, well cooked and tasty. Had a great night. Recommended.

I recently visited the restaurant for the Hawkenbury steak night and was certainly not disappointed. Myself and my girlfriend were the only two in the restaurant, we received excellent service from the lovely staff. We ate the tomahawk steak which came with a complimentary bottle of red or white. I would 100% recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone

We checked out the Wednesday steak night. It was fabulous! if you like good steak, superbly cooked and well presented, then I couldn't recommend this place more highly. It's a lot of food for 2 people and would probably work better with 3 or 4 people. Wonderful!

Great place to stop on the way to/from ferry ports/chunnel station. Accessed by some narrow roads do be cautious if you're in a lager vehicle. Great food

This is my first experience of dealing with Phoenix, I just wish I had found them before. I was given a time scale for the engineer to arrive and he was there very near the start time. He assessed the job, fixed it with none of the spiel I've experienced with other plumbers. Brilliant

Pheonix were contractors for our agent when we used to rent our home and they were always nice to deal with. So when needed a plumber in our own place, they were the first people we called. They've aced everything asked of them, from emergency call outs, to boiler repairs and the biggest one: fitting a new shower, new valves and pipework and re-seating the bath properly. The workmanship is excellent and the people are all super helpful and friendly including the office ladies, will definitely call again if we need someone. (Hopefully not for a while 😅) . Thanks Luke, Dan, Jaime and team.

What a fantastic find. The food was delicious from starters to dessert. The fillet for mains was particularly good. Bar and waiting staff are really friendly and we even got the chance to meet the chef, who talked us through what he was serving. We had the set meal, which was good value, and a few drinks - there's a lot of local stuff on (we had a local gin and a local ale). I cannot recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be back.

Large well managed establishment. Good selection of wine and beer but accent is on food. Spacious and airy dinning area's and friendly, efficient service. My Guinness was presented in prime condition. Recommended , particularly if eating. Christmas lunch in region of £100 pp.

2024 October Review NEW AND UPDATED Back again at the Stile Bridge, with the previous chef who departed 6 months ago, it has been time to try the new menu again. At a glance the new menu has inspirations from Asian cuisine slashed with British classics. A very good choice for all palates of flavours. To start, the house bread and oils, the Focaccia style bread was delicious , crispy, fluffy and tasteful, most perfect bread you could ask for to start. The lamb meatballs, had an Indian inspired taste coated in crispy panko, I actually thought the additional aioli style sauce was not needed. Next up was the boneless chicken wings which was a let down, with its dry flavour, baseless and bland texture it felt like the wing was absolutely battered and butchered to create this flattened pancaked wing. Mains : Chicken salad - chicken was super juicy and tasteful, with a salad which isn’t drenched in dressing, the perfect amount for a main dish, with expedited pickles which were fab, and well seasoned dish. Pork sirloin, juicy, cooked well rather tender as welland had great accompaniments with it, the jus was flavourful and hit the spot. Scallops, cooked well, fresh, and plenty of spark. Overall the Stile Bridge did not disappoint again, will be back, and loved the service. Truly so far still one of my top recommendations for restaurants in Kent. Best for those who actually have an eye for food and an open palate. It is a show stopper of a restaurant to visit if you are in Kent. compared to other restaurants within Kent, which serves typical British classics and other delicate British style dishes it is good to see a pub serving a different variety of food from around the world, being a Michelin guide recommendation, the Stilebridge is certainly a place that is well worth on the Michelin guide. The food I would describe it as light South American heavily infused with British twist, this is definitely done to please the pallets of local clientele within Kent which are known for having less adventurous pallets, but as an individual who thrives on flavour, exoticNess and wonder, this may also be the place for you as it is especially for me it is. The octopus and pork belly was fragrance, light and packed full of simplistic flavours, which hit each flavour on the tongue perfectly. Had a small cake which enhances the flavour of the dish., I would say the octopus is a touch over done when I had it, but the pork belly was cooked perfectly. The lamb rump was cooked to perfection, after talking to the chef, and knowing that it was a dry aged lamb from Romley Marsh? Very well with the potato jus accompanying it very well with its lights and arrogant flavours. I would have liked more of the sweet potato jus upon my dish, the lentils works. Well I would’ve liked a bit more than those as well. The Korean style, Bimbap works well for local clienteles pallets, however, I would have preferred it a lot more crispy rice at the bottom of the bimbap, after discussing it with the chef, who was very polite and friendly, it was understandable why it was done in such a way. The side dishes of the potato, Bravas and the pickled salad was a very nice for the compliment to my main protein dishes. Overall, the Stilebridge is a great restaurant you should visit, as a reviewer, I never eats anywhere five stars restaurant wise, however, with my own personal recommendation, I recommend a rate Stilebridge very highly and would be back again to try the other menu items. I would love to see more South American dishes because it’s hard to find authentic dishes done right utilising British local projects which I highly enjoy. My compliments to the chef. Thank you

I'd been wanting to visit The Stile Bridge for some time; it was with some excitement that I saw how nearby a restaurant in the Michelin guide was. It did not disappoint. Beautifully cooked meat, with the best chips I've ever tasted - well seasoned throughout, crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The pork sirloin was delicious, the beef sirloin moreso. I will be back very eagerly. Lovely service as well, and some nice drinks offerings.

Sometimes, the most unexpected places hold true gems, and this restaurant is a shining example. The food here is simply superb, and it's no surprise that they are featured in the Michelin Guide. Despite the restaurants unassuming exterior, don't let that deter you—the experience is absolutely worth it. The quality of the dishes and the culinary expertise showcased here far surpasses any initial judgments based on appearances. The staff are also very friendly. Adam is proficient and efficient. He knows his stuff (must be 12 years experience now) and gets on with the job at most costs eg, weather is not a hold-back. I'll have to trawl through some photos and edit this review to add some but be assured the job will be completed to a high grade.

Adam has worked for me before and this time it was at my sister's house. He installed an external outside socket for a new pond pump and the more difficult job of concreting in a Victorian cast iron lamp post, wiring it in to the mains and rewiring it. It has been removed from my late parent's house but was last rewired in the 1970s. It is now wirelessly operated from a mobile as well as a manual kinetic switch. This was a difficult job due to the lampost's considerable weight and required help from two team members as well as a winch. As before Adam's work was first class. He and his team members were friendly, efficient, courteous and prompt. I would definitely recommend Adam for electrical work and particularly unusual external jobs as well a=s whole house rewirings and new consumer units.

We first met Adam about 5 years ago when he rewired an outside awning for us. Since then he has done a couple of jobs for us, the most recent being to change our light switches around the house, and putting a new double socket in our lounge for a new in the wall fire we are buying. With all these jobs, he has been very professional, providing quotes quickly and carrying out the work on time, and in a tidy and efficient manner. We have no hesitation in recommending him. Well done. 👍

Adam is a fantastic electrician and I have used him many times. We recently needed some extractor fans installed in our bathroom and also in our en-suite shower room. Both rooms previously were not getting enough ventilation. Adam arrived at our house early and did both jobs very efficiently. He installed two extremely powerful extractor fans and the ventilation and air quality is now much better in both rooms. On another occasion he installed a new electric hob and electric cooker replacing our old gas one. Adam did all the electrical wiring necessary in our kitchen after changing over from gas and it all works perfectly. I have had a lot of electricians over the years and this guy really is the best.

Attended last night for birthday surprise and wasn't disappointed. The staff were very attentive throughout the evening. Head Chef Lee has created a menu which is a delight. The menu to make a decision which of the 5 starters & 6 mains to choice was extremely hard as I could and was tempted to have one of each. The food was as good as u can get the flavours were exquisite. The pairing of wine is a great idea. You will not be disappointed in booking here. Will be returning.

I came here for an anniversary meal and it didn't disappoint. Don't let the exterior pub-like look fool you. On the inside, it's a fine dining experience. Incredible food and service. The only reason it gets 3 stars for the atmosphere is because we went on a Monday which was very quiet. Will definitely be back for the tasting night which sounded excellent.

Get in quick before it gets a star. Service- relaxed but very professional Drink - well recommended Food - for £100 a head in London easily. Seriously superb food. Our favourite spot in Kent! The Poet is consistently excellent: wonderful service, superb quality dishes The menu changes periodically depending on local produce availability, but is always exquisite, a real treat every time we go. I love that they offer a dog friendly table in the bar (if you ring ahead to book, and your doggo is well behaved) Garden is also lovely for a drink before/after food inside 👌 Highly recommend.

Stopped for coffee and cake We received a friendly welcome. Really nice spacious eating area with outside seating too. Lots of attentive staff. We had a pot of tea ,carrot cake , a strawberry milkshake and the raspberry cheesecake. The carrot cake was very light and tasty. A fluffy cheese cake tasted fantastic. A very good experience for us both.

We held my daughters Wedding reception at Frankies Farmshop on 3rd August 2024. There's not enough words that I can express to say what an amazing time we had. Jen and the team at Frankies were outstanding. The service was exceptional and the help we received from Jen leading upto the event was so professionally done, it felt like we had our own in-house wedding planner. We received so many compliments from the guests who also really enjoyed the food. Thank you Jen and all, you really made my daughters wedding so special. I'll forever be appreciative. We visited the Milk House for a meal. My friend had a chicken burger. ( I think it was described as) and chips. I had the vegan curry. My friend said hers had 3 chicken fillets in. Very good and plenty of chips. My vegan curry was served with cauliflower rice, nan and raita and it tasted lovely. I think the curry was a little small for the money, but the quality made up for it. Very generous menu with lots of choice for everyone. Also fresh pizzas being served outside which looked delicious.lovely garden and views outside. Play area for kids. Marquee outside indicating they have special events at times. Toilets were beautifully clean, a pleasure to use. I can't comment on the rooms as we were only visiting for food. However based on the standard of everything else I believe they will be lovely. I would definitely recommend this pub.

Visited the Milk House yesterday while on holiday in the area, & it totally exceeded our expectations. The food was gorgeous! I had the vegan lentil salad starter & beetroot tarte tatin main which were seriously delicious. I love when the vegan offering is something more than your bog standard tickbox - you can tell a lot of thought went into creating both these dishes. My husband had the roast (beef) and said it was the best roast he’s had out in ages. Good portion sizes too. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon was lovely. Highly recommend this place.

We come here every year for at least two lunches when we rent a holiday home nearby - it’s such a hit with all of us - fabulous pizzas and a great menu. The staff were absolutely fantastic at supporting us when we unexpectedly brought our profoundly autistic son due to his carer’s car breaking down! Couldn’t have been more helpful and supportive and this is MUCH appreciated xx

Went for a birthday lunch today and really enjoyed everything about the Milk House. Great choice on the menu, the food was excellent, the service team were really helpful and enthusiastic, the atmosphere in the restaurant was nice without being loud, and it was full. Went here for lunch after visiting sittinghurst gardens. There is a restaurant which looked very very nice, and a pub area which had a very cosy and family friendly. Staff lovely Ambience lovely Food lovely Much better than the woodcock

I would have no hesitation in recommending Hawk Electrical. Not only did they turn up in record time but they spent a long time determining what our electrical issue was. As it turned out it was a previous install that had been installed badly and was about to catch fire. Not only did they fix the problem but probably saved our house from burning down! Thank you
