The Best Cafes in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom (2025)

In my humble opinion the experience at Costa can vary wildly from Branch to Branch in terms of Customer Service & Greeting, Quality, Presentation, availability of Product, and Cleanliness & Presentation of the Branch. Happily this particular Branch (Birchin Way Grimsby) is very good in all aspects. After all this is a premium product at a premium price and Customer expectations are high.

After buying a latte large in paper cup this morning then having issues with my lid I would like to thank the staff for all their help and understanding this morning customer service is of its upmost in this shop thank you so much 10 out of 10

I always like to pop in for a coffee . And A toastie when I have time. I've visited many Costas throughout the UK and their coffee is one of the best out there. The food is just a snack. But tastes good. Staff particularly in the Costa at Hull interchange were Chirpy and Chatty .. that's always nice to see. And you can guarantee whenever I'm around that area I always pop in.

I went to the Costa drive thru and I quite liked it. The drinks were nice and it wasn't too busy in there. The tables were clean and the service was really fast. I'd recommend going there if you're passing. I got a regular hot chocolate and it was really nice and chocolaty. (Much better than Starbucks) . The only downside was the lack of car parking spaces.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. The decor was lovely. The food portions were large and filling.

Popped in for a quick lunch and enjoyed a couple of sandwiches and a quick pint, loved the truffle fries. Nice interior and quick service. Would definitely return.

We visited The Curious Cat on the recommendation of a friend & we definitely weren’t disappointed. This is a great little place & we were, to be honest, very impressed. Friendly, welcoming staff, brilliant service & excellent food & drink. There is an impressive cocktail menu & the cocktails themselves are very professionally prepared & presented. Add to this a great food menu with some very good choices & your have the makings of a top notch evening out. Our thanks to all at The Curious Cat. You made a great impression & we will return in the future.

Here on 30/10/21, my wife and I on our 5th anniversary, with our kids. Absolutely out of this world, staff fantastic, food amazing, atmosphere brilliant, cocktails sublime, Boris looked after us brilliantly, he was helpful, insightful and funny.

Warm welcoming, friendly staff. Food was tasty, reasonably priced too. Super friendly staff. We ordered two coffee's, which were perfect. A bagel, rainbow slaw and a brownie all for £21! It's on our list to revisit.

This is my absolute favorite cafe in town! Visitings Riverhead Coffee is always an unique experience. They offers delicious coffee, fantastic cakes and healthy lunches. Owner and staff are so friendly and pleasant to talk with and they always show the best attitude to their customers. And a new Deli shop is just what we needed in the area! Highly recommended!

Cute place to go for a coffee and some food. I am especially enamoured by the turmeric latte and matcha lattes (the matcha latte tastes nice hot or iced). Good selection of food and drinks for everyone. It's nice to have somewhere to go for coffee that is a bit different.

Went for afternoon tea was gorgeous chicken in batter mushroom tomatoes kebab mini hot pizza mini fish finger sandwich chips and salad with mini lemon cheesecake eton mess chocolate dessert and strawberry shortcake with a big pot of coffee for the price my freind payed 12.50 each it was lovely nice and hot and a nice chat with Jackie the owner

Often have a Sunday lunch delivery from Poppins , this week I had the large Lamb dinner, it was absolutely delicious, fabulous, thank you guys x

Absolutely great place! ive just arrived as they were almost shutting - but no problems ordering a pork dinner so late. Staff always very helpful accommodating and friendly. This place is popular and can get busy, but the staff never get flustered. From ordering the food to being allocated a table to food being served, always efficient. They are on top of things, so if a customer spills something at a table, or on floor... immediately cleaned up. The food is lovely and excellent value. The belly buster big breakfast is one of the best ive ever had and superb value. So many cafes these days are run by ignorant folk who cant be bothered with customers, but here, it has a feel of a family run business who actually value customers! My only gripe, is its not open 7 days a week!! check out the attached photo of my pork dinner - it was luverly.

Been here a few times at the weekend and it’s always busy so a good indicator of quality. They offer a great breakfast and daily specials such as cottage pies etc. and we’ve always enjoyed the food. Pic is the mega breakfast which was too much for me but the person I was with managed it!!

Had breakfast here this morning. Very reasonable prices and the breakfast was perfectly cooked. The sausages were just superb too. Would definitely recommend. Service was also really good. Think we've found a new preferred place for breakfast. We visited a second time and again it was superb. Great sausages, lovely mushrooms and eggs cooked to perfection with a lovely runny yolk. Definitely the best breakfast in town.

Definitely the best cafe in Grimsby! I’ve been going here on a regular basis since the cafe opened, and I’ve never been disappointed. The food is of excellent value and quality, and service provided is amazing (nothing is too much trouble).

I quite like Reflections Tea Rooms. Primarily because, although I'm in my 60s, I'm still a kid at heart, and they have a smashing fish finger sandwich on the menu...nomnom... The coffee is really good, and the accompanying side salad is fresh and crunchy 😋 If I have a criticism, it is that the actual tea rooms feel a bit clinical in terms of decor. The tables and chairs serve their function well enough, but it feels like you're in an employee canteen rather than a tea room. The staff are very friendly and the food was served quickly. Overall, I give Reflections a definite thumbs and would recommend a visit.

A hidden gem, a must place to visit. It was a perfect ending to a sad farewell. If the weather is permitting, sit out in the garden it's a beautiful sun trap, so peaceful.

Thought we’d give it a try as we like to go to different venues for breakfast every couple of months and so glad we did. The ladies there were so nice and polite, service was quick and efficient and the food, large full English, was superb. Absolutely spot in.

Me and my family came here today for lunch, and it didn't disappoint! It's a lovely modern tea room with fresh food made to order and friendly staff. Good choice of food/cakes available, and there is also a children's menu available. If I had to guess, most of the food is homemade, which, as you can imagine, my taste buds were very happy 😋 I would highly recommend going here. 👌

What a cute little place, the coffee was delicious & the atmosphere was lovely for a quick pit stop on our walk. We asked for more information on the brunch to book for next weekend. The staff were great & we can’t wait to come back next week.

Amazing muffins, staff are always friendly and polite when we come here, it is the ultimate stop of point before we start our shopping, sometimes my wife just makes up an excuse to go to Freshney Place, just so she can go for a coffee and muffin. There's always a good selection of muffins on offer with specials appearing through each season. Comfortable seating area either towards the back where it's nice and cool or if you want they have an extended seating area into the centre of the mall under the glass roof and when the sun is shining it adds that bit of warmth, plenty of room to manoeuvre a pram if you've got the little ones in tow. The decor is subtle and shows some of the history of Grimsby and how it's believed how the town got its name. Overall fantastic place. Hense why we always go back.

Popped in for a coffee early Sunday morning and it didn't disappoint. Reasonably priced not too dissimilar to that of the leading brands. Would most definitely visit this company again.

Brilliant evening overall, absolutely amazing food. Staff were very lovely and patient, Ellie was very helpful on the bar with her extensive whiskey knowledge. Atmosphere 4/5 as hoovering was started around 9 where we were sat when food was still being served till 10. Would 100% recommended to anyone who wants a good hearty meal, in a nice venue and an overall good time.

Great service.! Mandy, from the restaurant, went over and above to help us find the right table for my disabled mum. She was very caring and considered our needs, even checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable. The carvery was amazing .... I'm so pleased we all had the small plate meals, as we are not big eaters, so that option was perfect! Thank you Beechwood, for a fab meal and friendly service, we will most certainly be back soon!
