Visited on a Thursday lunch . Only comment that I would make is, that they need to focus on their customer service approach. I waited at the front of the cafe to be served, sadly, I was told not asked. To go to the cash desk and place my order! A bit of a shame as my 1st reaction was to walk back out again.

Stumbled across the café and glad we did. Fantastic home cooked food. Haven't seen sausage pie on a menu for years and it was delicious. Bread and butter pudding and caramel apple crumble pie was perfect with custard.

I called in on Saturday morning on the off chance to have some breakfast, having not been here before. I received a nice warm welcome and was shown to an immaculately clean table. There was an excellent selection on the menu. I ended up just going for it and having the Full English Breakfast for £9.95, which was a real plateful and inclusive tea and toast. I considered it very good value for money. It was a very filling and absolutely delicious breakfast, which, even when I felt pretty full, I still ploughed through because it was so nicely cooked with good quality ingredients. Top marks from me. I certainly won’t hesitate to eat there again!

We had coffee and cakes at Shipley’s Curiositeas today. This lovely tearoom is decorated in a 1950’s style with lots of quirky objects d’art! We chose to sample carrot cake, blood orange cake, Bakewell tart and blueberry and lemon cake together with coffee and tea. Everything was delicious and the friendly waitresses looked after us admirably!

Came in today (not our first visit) and ordered myself the Giant Yorkie with mince, mash, veg and Gravy. Unfortunately they were out of giant yorkies however did provide a couple of small instead making me very happy. Food was just as beautiful as always and fairly priced. My meal was £7.25 and has completely filled me, most likely for the day.

Lovely little diner with nice friendly staff. I explained that myself and my husband are on a diet for medical reasons and they couldn’t have been nicer. They made us up an enormous prawn salad which we both really enjoyed. Big thumbs up to this lovely place 😊

We had the steak pie and it was delicious, the steak was tender, the crust was soft and the veg was cooked really nice as well ( especially the mash). The menu records every allergen and every place offering food should follow its example.

The Pantry 8020 Brigg

1-5, Springs Parade, Brigg DN20 8EQ, UK | Restaurant
P: 01652 652777

Rating: 4.6 (121) Price Level:

I'm 60 in October and I've had a lot of breakfasts in my life, but this one was the BEST! Pork Belly Benedict. A superb concoction of well balanced, complementary flavours and textures. All the ingredients are super quality. The pork belly was cooked to perfection with a crisp crunchy top and juicy, meat which melted in my mouth. The eggs had a good orange yolk were poached so that the yolk was runny.. So many breakfasts are let down by an over-poached egg, but not in The Pantry! Instead of seated on a breakfast muffin, the eggs were on a hash-brown potato base. Initially I was not sure about this, but having tasted it, its a perfect choice. To complement the saltiness of the pork, an apple slaw was very welcome as a side to the meat. The dish was beautifully presented too, the Hollandaise sauce just the right amount so it didn't dominate the plate & tiny edible flowers finished it off. I was so impressed with this dish I had to go over personally and thank the chef. My husband had the full English breakfast which again, was top quality ingredients, superb executed. I think he was wishing he'd picked the pork Belly though. He begged a bit of my crackling ( nearly caused a divorce) and I could tell by his face he was loving it. Service in The Pantry is excellent. Professional and welcoming. They even put salt and pepper on the table and freah water. So many places don't do so any more & I'm always disappointed. A good meal can be let down by the smallest details. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely superb. Fantastic food, and excellent service. The service in particular, the guy running F.O.H today is a credit to the business. I've been to countless Michelin Starred establishments, and this fella's relaxed but professional service was beyond on par. The food too.. I'm a big brunch fan, a Brighton brunch scene veteran, (where brunch is a huge deal) and these guys are right up there. Well worth the trip and highly recommended. Go there. Now!

Had an absolutely lovely time with Trevor and the team at The Courtyard Cafè, Brigg. We had the Christmas Afternoon Tea and were not dissapointed. From the christmas themed, freshly prepared with quality ingredients, finger sandwiches to the Christmas scone and mini trifle the food was a fantastic taste experience. Service was friendly and timely and we weren't interrupted too often during our food. I hope they continue with more themed afternoon teas throughout the seasons.

Visiting Brig prior to us moving to the area, not sure where to eat so stumbled across the Cafe Courtyard. What a great little place, good food excellent and friendly service, was a joy to watch staff interacting with a customer who looked like a regular with cerebral palsy, definite place to visit for some good food, we had a small breakfast with extras, pulled pork baked potato and some juice, would be nice if the orange was fresh squeezed though.

This was my first visit to Café Courtyard in Brigg, but it certainly won’t be my last. A really pleasant welcome on arrival. Absolutely top quality full English breakfast, complete with two slices of toast. Outstanding value for money too. I had a mochaccino to accompany it, which was as good as any I’ve ever had. It was also very reasonably priced. All in all, a really good experience. I highly recommend the Café Courtyard.

An absolute must, especially around Christmas time. We have visited Santa a few years ago which was so magical. They have lots to see, fish feeding in the aquarium for the kids, massive toy/sweet section, beautiful plants and outdoor items, outdoor & indoor play area & fantastic restaurant! We visit every year and will carry on visiting in the future :)

Brigg Garden Centre is an absolute must-visit! This place is a shopper's paradise, boasting an incredible array of shops under one roof. From the practical (like The Works) to the unique (an aquarium!), there's something to pique everyone's interest. The garden centre itself is a sprawling oasis, perfect for browsing and finding inspiration for your outdoor space. But it's not just about plants! The centre has managed to create a vibrant shopping experience with a fantastic selection of stores. We decided to refuel at the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by both the price and the quality of the food. It was a delicious and welcome break from all the exploring. Whether you're a keen gardener, a shopaholic, or simply looking for a fun day out, Brigg Garden Centre has it all. We can't wait to go back!

Great place for a visit. Went in December and one of the best displays of Christmas decorations I've seen. If you can't find what you want here chances are it doesn't exist. Also has aquarium department, shoes, clothes and a good cafe which while busy was well organised. Didn't find the travel agents but there is one. Well worth a visit

Went for a run in the car to Brigg garden center. Hubby was paying so how could i refuse. Had the carvery with the pie option for a change. It was delicious 😋. Well and truly stuffed . The breakfasts finish at 11 and the lunches start at 11.30. We got there around quarter to 12 . Initially there was a queue to order but it wasn't crowded where we were and when we went for our dinner we were straight to the counter. The staff were nice and friendly and i didn't see any tables waiting to be cleared. The drinks were nice and hot too. The place is quite large our table was 104 and you're not all squashed together. You can just have a drink and a scone if you want. There is also seating outside if you wish

The Vineyard is always popular. They have a great range of choices on cakes and hot food. I have heard some people complain about the price but as a garden centre lover I'd say it's pretty on par with most centre cafe/restaurants. The staff are always welcoming and polite. We had the 3 course meal for £20. I had the Tempura Prawns and 8oz sirloin steak with blue cheese sauce and the Kinder Bueno Waffle. The steak was the best steak and sauce I've had in a long time. I went to Miller & Carter a few weeks ago, and this one was by far the tastier one. Just a shame there was only one other table of people in there.

We regularly visit the Vault and often have something to eat from their breakfast, lunchtime menu or Sunday Lunch menu. Today we had one of their fabulous Sunday Lunches, the quality of the food was absolutely fantastic, and I would personally say that it is one of the best and tastiest Sunday Lunches for miles around. The portions were plentiful and the food was piping hot, and was excellent value for money. If you ever fancy some delicious food in excellent surroundings then look no further than The Vault. The service from both Neve and Rhys was also exemplary and nothing was too much trouble for either of them, and they made sure that we had a warm welcome and made our visit special. Can't wait for the Bottomless Supper this coming Friday and highly recommend everyone try the Vault for both their food and drinks.

Excellent Sunday dinner, couldn’t recommend the sharer for 2 more. A twist on a traditional Sunday lunch but loved every bit of it and good value, tasty, well cooked and filling. We followed with a couple of cocktails rather than something off their pudding menu and both cocktails properly made, not out of premix packet like other venues in Brigg, and was just what was needed to finish off a lovely lunch. Just a shame at 2:30pm there wasn’t more people in enjoying it, but I’d recommend people go a try their food because we’ve been a few times now and it’s the best in Brigg.

We had a lovely experience at the Vault today, celebrating my brother’s 21st Birthday. Hugh our waiter was extremely good, he helped with all our needs, we were a party of 14 which included 5 children. Hugh was nothing but helpful, food was delicious! Would recommend!!

I went to the Vault for lunch and as a vegetarian and gluten free diner, I was not disappointed. The selection was amazing with a choice of gluten free wraps, bread or baguettes, so I didn’t feel I was missing out. I would definitely recommend and will be going back again soon. Thank you for going the extra mile to accommodate. X
