We asked James to replace wooden decking that had started to rot, replace a pump on a water feature so that it would work again and fix a fence panel. James worked very hard and was always polite. He completed all the work to a very high standard and suggested improvements where necessary. We are very pleased with the results and have already asked him to do some more work for us. We would highly recommend James.

James built a small retaining wall (4 bricks high). He chose some really nice bricks. He has taken measures to ensure the cement dries properly. We are again very pleased with the work that has been carried out to a very high standard.

James transformed an unsightly, uneven and unusable area into an elegant terrace that we really love. The work involved excavating the area, building a retaining wall, laying paving and steps, replacing a couple of stone paths and erecting some screening. He discussed the plan in detail with us before starting, and met (or exceeded) every requirement perfectly. We completely trusted him to get on with it, knowing that if there were any decisions for us to make, he would consult us accordingly. The site is a little challenging – a very sloping garden with restricted access, plus we wanted to keep a much-loved old tree within the patio area – and James overcame the limitations really well. We are delighted with the end result and we would not hesitate to work with James again and can highly recommend him.

James has done an amazing job transforming my patio, it was relatively small and I wanted a larger patio area and less grass that will be easier to manage. I am so pleased with it, James was able to advise me what would look best and now my garden looks bigger and brighter . James was hard working and very clean and tidy. I would recommend him to anyone.

We asked James to undertake a complete overhaul of our garden, with drawings prepared by a third party. This included 3 patios, one of which required the removal of a substantial amount of earth. Raised beds and steps onto the top part of the garden were also built. At the bottom, James constructed a boardwalk path to the third patio area and a curved path around to the shed.

Overall we are delighted with the end result. It has completely transformed the garden and how we use it. James always arrived at site on time, was very courteous and a pleasure to have around. Not only that, when he came up against a challenge, he always devised a sensible solution. James works completely on his own. We were originally slightly worried if he could cope with the size of our project without any assistance, but he has all of the equipment necessary so this fear was unfounded. It was obvious to us at an early stage that James really cares about the end result and his reputation.
