Went for lunch with my Mum, excellent service and very good value set menu. I had the flat iron steak with a side of delicious chips. Unfortunately my steak was overdone, I asked for medium but it was well done-I didn't mention it at the time-i'm sure they would have made me another if I made a fuss, but it was still OK. Mum had fish pie which she enjoyed. Treacle tart for desert was very good.

We had a lovely dinner with the family. Very child friendly restaurant. The ambiance and food are fantastic! We highly recommend the Beef Wellington. Their home made ice-cream is delicious too. Definitely recommend!!!

We had Sunday Roast here. The chicken was grilled to perfection. The beef was also very tasty but one piece tasted like lamb(?). Portions not that big, but in the end big enough. The Lager beer tasted like a top fermented beer but was good. Dessert then really made this meal perfect, especially the sticky toffee pudding! Coffee a bit too acidic for my taste.

Some of the best dishes I have ever tasted. A beautiful setting, attentive staff. Great wine list with plenty of affordable options by the glass, designed for experimentation. But the food is by far the brightest star. The savoury blue cheese cheesecake with beetroot jam is the most stunning dish I have tasted this year; and the flavour will be something I remember for years to come. Everything was excellent, but also deserving of special mention was the dark chocolate torte with hazelnuts blackberry sorbet. A stunning mixture of flavours, executed perfectly.

Lazix has quickly become my favourite place to visit in Canterbury for a cake and a catch up with friends. For five visits I've had quick, friendly service every single time. The menu has a great range of choices, although the chocolate orange cake is so addictively gorgeous that I tend to get that most of the time. It tastes like jaffa cakes turned into a tiered cake and is amazing! The outside seating upstairs on the terrace is also lovely in sunny weather. Highly recommend!

Lovely cafe in the heart of Canterbury. The space inside is not a lot but there is a large covered terrace where it’s very pleasant to enjoy a meal or a drink. The food we ordered was nice, but the waiting time was quite long I would say (half an hour for some eggs). Nice cakes and teas too. I would stop again in a less busy day. Dog friendly.

Review: This café in Canterbury is clearly a local favorite, and it’s easy to see why! We visited during the early lunch hour, and it was buzzing with people, but there were plenty of tables available, including a cozy outdoor area with a covering. The service was excellent despite the busy atmosphere, and we had the best chai we’ve ever tasted—rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced. Although we didn’t get a chance to try the food, the dishes we saw being served looked absolutely delicious. Definitely worth a visit for a great drink and lively ambiance!

Cute little cafe hidden away in the Hubbub of Canterbury. There are always seats available. The coffee is very nice (I have it black, so it matters to me). The service is always friendly. This is our go-to place now.

Best place for breakfast, absolutely brilliant every time I visit. The coffee is the best I've tried in canterbury, not sure why it's so good but it is. I've been to most cafes in canterbury now and this is by far the best. The food is always hot and fresh, very little wait time, service is always spot on and one of the best places for prices. Seriously, try this place, at least for a fry-up if nothing else.

Good food and prices, conveniently located close to the city centre. I went to The Beano Cafe for a late morning breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, two slices of toast, a portion of chips and a can of fizzy pop. The cost was only £7.00. Just wanted to share my experience of this wonderful venue, I have been coming here for around 14 years, and its always been a favourite of mine, from their delicious sandwiches and cakes to their super coffee and excellent table service, It does get very busy in the summer times, and is popular with dog owners and walkers as well as young mums and their children, often on the way home from school. Yesterday I was in need of a light lunch and so took a friend out for a drive in the country and came here, to avoid the city as on an overcast and pretty windy day, the city is not the best place to be. I chose a 'Very Berry ice-cream Milkshake' and a BLT, I know from having breakfast there in the past their tomatoes are super sweet and really juicy, and their bread is fresh and wholesome too. My friend had a health salad bowl and a glass of tap water. As always the staff were helpful and super friendly chatting to everyone that came in and showing them to a table. I cam in at 12:30 expecting it to be rammed but there were a few tables free and we were quickly seated. £15 for two of us was very reasonable considering we had a salad and a drink. There were a number of happy looking babes in arms and young mum's out with their parents, so it made a convivial atmosphere, and when we left the Sun finally made an appearance. I keep going back as the food is brilliant, the staff and great and the atmosphere is always friendly. See you there soon.

Visited on a friends recommendation and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Ordered an iced latte, iced americano and babychino for drinks and all were superb! The most difficult part was choosing what cake to order with our coffees. We went with a scone (was perfect) and a brownie both or which were excellent quality. I will 100% recommend and return when in and around the area

Lovely relaxed cafe with outdoor seating too to enjoy the sunny weather. Menu has lots of choice for all dietary requirements and dogs very welcome. Food and drinks always excellent and very generous portion sizes. The only downside is having to decide which ONE of the fabulous cakes to have! 😄 There are always so many great options to choose from.

We were desperate for a good coffee and a local suggested this place. Located near the entrance to the cathedral (which was packed with students of all ages on excursions), we nestled into a table and ordered our long awaited our coffee. Looking at the soup a fellow diner was having I was somewhat jealous. Next time! Loved the quirkiness of this place with fun and interesting signage, cute decor and funky ambience. Sat in a for a late lunch, ordered a gluten free pesto chicken sandwich and an iced oat chai latte. My friend got the grilled cheese with a flat white. Felt as though 15 quid was a bit expensive for my order - until the food was served! The sandwiches are massive and both my friend and I kept half for dinner. We both really enjoyed our meals! The staff were warm and welcoming, the cafe was relatively quiet for a Saturday at 12:45pm. There were a variety of cakes available as well, with a fair amount of gluten free and vegan options available. Staff clarified whether my gluten free sandwich order was due to an allergy or a preference. Overall, would recommend, especially for those with a gluten intolerance!

I just want to say thank you! Yesterday my family and I had a lovely time. :) We just popped in for a quick lunch, expecting a basic pud like service, but we were pleasantly surprised at how incredibly good everything was. Kind and welcoming service and delicious food. With my husband we shared a vegetable pie and a Nut roast and bought it was perfect! It's easily the best vegetarian lunch I had this year! My in-laws tried two of the fish dishes and they loved them. Can't recommend it enough! :)

We were in Canterbury for a two days, and usually we never go back to the same restaurant twice, but for this restaurant we did. In the afternoon we had 3 sets of appetizers who were delicious and for supper we had a chicken and cranberry pie, a salmon and cod pie and a Chicken & Bacon with white wine sauce, potatoes and mushrooms (Gluten Free). Our servers Izzy, Lizzie and Mo were really helpful and helped me figure out what I could eat, with the dishes that could be made Gluten Free. They were so nice and so helpful. We (all 3) recommend this restaurant. The garden in the back is super nice, near the river, and the inside has a rustic vibe that we all enjoyed!!

This charming building built in 1500 AD, dinner did not disappoint. We were able to sit on the small terrace over looking the water. The roast beef is sliced thin but the Yorkshire pudding and thrice cooked roast potatoes were delicious.. They were served with the carrots, broccoli and peas cooked perfectly not sitting in soggy gravy. The lamb and rosemary meat pie was a blend of spices, savory with the delicate crust on top. Service was attentive and you did not feel rushed even though they were so busy. Loved watching the punting boats on the river.

Incredibly tasty food! I had the lamb chump and shared a camembert fritter with my partner. The food was amazing. Yes it is a tad pricy, but you definitely get what you pay for! The inside of the place is very quirky with loads of clocks on the walls, so a little cuckoo happens every now and then which is fun :) Staff was good and came around quickly when needed, and the cocktail I had was also very nice

This place is a mixture of Korean and Texan barbecue and the food is awesome. They have blended both styles and created some fantastic food.The chicken wings are as a great the pulled pork. I would recommend trying the platter which gives you a selection of meats. One of the best restaurants I have been to anywhere. It all seems to just work.

It was brilliant here. The staff were very kind and helpful and the atmosphere and design was really nice. The American smash burger was delicious and the fries were also lovely. In addition there was a lot of variety on the menu and it all sounded delicious. Overall I highly recommend coming here and hope to come back.

Went for lunch with friends- ordered basically everything on the menu- highlight were the brisket and the burnt ends, and the burger! Service was flawless- always checking in and being attentive - it’s the first time in a long time that I’ve had such good service! Hats off to (I’m sorry I think their hand was Bryan!) either way- fantastic food! Fantastic service and a great atmosphere. (Please excuse the picture! It all looked to good and we couldn’t wait start!)

I recently visited Stag and was absolutely blown away by their breakfast options! Not only did they have an incredible variety of dishes, but they also had an impressive selection of drinks to choose from. The quality of the food was exceptional - everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour. The atmosphere was also lovely, with friendly staff and a welcoming ambiance. Loved the duck and noodles dish. It’s a bit overpriced for students tho. Hated the coffee especially the vegan ones. The Mocca was okay.

Great location! Michael and his team are really kind, and provide healthy food and great coffee! I recommend highly to visit! Side note: if you visit: 1 - If you bring your own cup, you can get a 20p discount, or a large drink for the price of a small one 2 - They have a fidelity card with 9 hot beverages bought, the 10th one is for free!

Great meals. Excellent services. Conducive atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone needing a place to get out of the sleepy state to start up the day with a bang. I would also recommend to the one who needs a place to wind down the day.
