The english breakfast is really great. Since I don’t eat bacon, the manager/server was sweet enough to replace it with chicken as an alternative. The coffee is great, we came back for a 2nd one.

Really lovely specialty coffee shop tucked away towards the end of Twickenham High Street. Friendly staff, high quality roasts and great toasties. They have alternative milk options as well as vegan friendly toasties and occasionally gluten free food too. The chocolate banana loaf is one of my favourites from their pastry selection. I'd recommend their iced mochas here, especially in the hot summer weather! The café atmosphere is perfect for those wishing to pop in for a quick coffee and sit down, or bring a laptop to work a little! ☕✨

Peter and son always do a great job for us ranging from rewiring, changing mains board, to small repair jobs and also our landlords safety certificate. We like to use local family businesses where we can and Gibbons are just that with a friendly and efficient service and good prices. Recommend without reservation. They are a couple bright sparks 💡

Peter and John have done electrical work on my new home a couple of times now - assembling and installing various new ceiling lights, removing old spotlights, re-positioning lighting points, and installing a new extractor fan. They always do a great job and quality of their workmanship is excellent. They are also both very personable and efficient and leave everything neat and tidy. Highly recommend.

Frank installed internal and external lighting in my garden office. He also completely rerouted my telephone line in the house, to connect a router for internet access. All of the electrics have been isolated in the house, running from a separate fuse box. He has done an absolutely fantastic job and I would recommend him to anybody in the local area or beyond. Brilliant standard of work and no messing around. Thank you Frank!

I cannot rate Frank highly enough! I had an emergency with a plug socket smoking and my mum is on oxygen so not a good combination! Frank kept me calm & arrived very quickly to help. Not only that, he helped sort new fire alarms. Thank you Frank, you are literally a life saver. I shall be recommending you to all.

If you want an excellent local electrician, look no further than here. Frank gave me a quick competitive quote and completed the work quickly to a high standard. 10 new sockets next to my existing single one in my living room as required. Very nice guy and a true professional 👍

After seeing Frank’s reviews, I gave him a call, and he kindly offered to come by the same day to install a light and plug sockets in my daughter’s bedroom. He was friendly and professional, going above and beyond – even fixing my son’s bedroom light while he was here. Excellent value for money. I’d highly recommend him and would gladly call on him again for any future work.

Rating: 4.9 (294) Price Level:

We decided to come here after we had walked past a couple of times. The food was excellent. We had starters, mains and dessert because we loved the food so much. Very authentic and freshly made. Then we also discovered the cocktail menu and it was amazing. The cocktails all have Indian twists and use lots of Indian spirits. They were amazing. We had such a great time and the service was excellent. We were chatting to everyone and they took great care of us. I’d highly recommend coming here for the food or even just the cocktails (2 for 1 before 7pm)

I had my wedding meal and celebrations at Delhi Social and it was fantastic! We got married at York House and it was just a short walk from there to Delhi Social which was very convenient for us and all of our guests. We hired the whole restaurant, which made for a lovely venue - there's plenty of space for everyone to walk around and mingle. There was space in front of the bar for dancing and an enclosed outdoor space with tables and chairs which lots of the guests enjoyed, especially the kids who had plenty of space to move about. The food was delicious and service brilliant. Couldn't fault it and all our guests - Indian and white - loved the food! In the lead up to the wedding, communication with Avi was seamless. Dealing with Avi was actually the least stressful part of organising the wedding. In fact, not stressful at all. That's a huge win. We were very happy with the flexibility on the menu, when selecting dishes, to ensure that menu items were best suited to our guests. We were also able to provide Avi with our own playlist. We ended up trusting Avi with the music because we've always enjoyed the acoustic background music that's been playing when we had previously enjoyed meals at Delhi Social. Overall, we are really pleased we were able to secure our wedding meal at Delhi Social. My husband and I had explored every single restaurant and pub in the area to hold our wedding meal and Delhi Social won on all grounds - delicious food, wide array of menu choices, ease of booking and sorting out details, great communication, large venue space, excellent location close to York House and Orleans House Gallery. And the other bonus - we will get to enjoy many, many more meals at Delhi Social and always remember it as the place we enjoyed our wedding meal! I'm so glad we trusted Delhi Social with our wedding celebrations. Thank you Avi, Maneesh and the rest of the brilliant staff for a fantastic celebration!

We had a wonderful experience at Delhi Social tonight! The food was unexpectedly spectacular! I love Indian food and am always looking for authentic flavours and dishes; Delhi social really hit the nail on the head. The pork vindaloo was incredibly rich and had a beautiful spiciness to it. The aubergines were Smokey and delicious. My mum loved the soft shell crab and I will definitely order the puri again! Chef came out to check on us which was lovely, and all the staff were really nice. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Delhi Social!

Locanda Luna Ristorante

38 York St, Twickenham TW1 3LJ, UK | Restaurant
P: 020 3302 0350

Rating: 4.8 (95) Price Level:

What to say about Locanda Luna... first things first, we were welcomed by the very friendly restaurant manager who gave us a choice of table. What struck us is the fine taste in decoration, with the nice art paintings on every wall, modern art table and chairs. Every now and then you see a big fire coming from the open kitchen, which shows Alex the amazing chef at work. The pizza oven is big and fully open to customers. The food served was to high standards, the presentation is excellent, which is important, but the taste and flavours are what you would expect from a high-end restaurant. Everything has been thought through, even the prawns that are peeled for the customer to make it easier. The cuisine is authentic, the chef has made sure that little chilli pieces are added in dishes that should have them, as you would have them in Italy. The house wine, which I had, was probably better than more expensive wines on the menu. The cocktails were also very well made, with a lot of attention given to presentation of course but also the quality of the ingredients. This is probably the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. This will now be a favourite restaurant that I will go to countless times.

What an amazing Italian restaurant! I’m so pleased with what we’ve found! Will definitely be going again! Ordered 3 different meals and all 3 so unique to each other and delightful! Very impressive! So much so that I thought they couldn’t top it with a decent tiramisu - surely that would be too good to be true. And it was!! Full marks! Highly recommended!

🌟 Indulgent Culinary Symphony at Locanda Luna 🌟 In the heart of Twickenham, amidst the buzz of rugby and the rhythm of life, lies a culinary haven that transcends mere dining—it's an experience that elevates the soul. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I was enveloped in warmth and welcomed by the tantalizing scent of Italian and Mediterranean delicacies. Magda, my culinary guide, orchestrated a feast fit for royalty. Each dish was a masterpiece, a fusion of tradition and innovation. The Braised Caprino Cheese on roasted beetroot and asparagus, wrapped in Parma ham, was a symphony of textures and tastes, a perfect prelude to the culinary journey that followed. The Fresh Tagliatelle with Nduja Sausage and Burrata Cheese was a revelation, each bite a sonnet of satisfaction. And the Risotto Mediterraneo? Simply divine, a tribute to the bounty of the sea. From the Today's Special Menu, the Porchetta and Bacalhau stole the show, each dish a testament to the chef's skill and creativity. And let's not forget the dessert! The Cheesecake, velvety and luscious, melted on the tongue like a sweet serenade. Paired with exquisite cocktails and wines that danced on the palate, every moment at Locanda Luna was a celebration of life, love and culinary artistry. In the embrace of live music, surrounded by laughter and warmth, Locanda Luna cast its spell upon me. It's not just a restaurant; it's an experience to be savored, a memory to be cherished. Thank you, Locanda Luna, for a night of pure magic.

Water Lane Coffee

1a Water Ln, Twickenham TW1 3NP, UK | Coffee Shop
P: 020 4568 6997

Rating: 4.9 (87) Price Level:

Solid hipster cafe that was very welcome to an Australian in need of acceptable coffee in Twickenham. Had a well-above average oat flat white made by a young hipster barista. Felt like home. Slight edit - 2 out of 3 times I came this place wasn’t open when it was supposed to be.

Anonymous - 6 months ago

Rating: 5 / 5

The coffee and the texture of the oat milk in my flat white was flawless. I love the interior design and the beautiful cups, plus the staff are friendly and served the coffee with a smile! The location is ideal next to the river, and my dog was welcome too. The only downside is that the tables/ space are quite cramped. I wouldn't recommend sitting in - after all, less than 100m down the road are benches by the river.

Really good coffee. And they do the Japanese pour-over devices here, too. When I came in they had a single origin from Rwanda as well as a blend, and both are delicious. The Rwandan seemed quite a light roast. For a cappuccino the milk was prepared more like a latte, but delicious. It's at the top end in terms of prices. The interior is quite scruffy and looks cramped and unfinished. This is a pop up shop which hasn't been here long, but it didn't look very comfortable so I took it out and sat by the river. They do have food options but, as the owner said, they don't sell much food. Also, bagged coffee is available and can be ground on request. Recently they seem to open when they feel like it, rather than conforming to a timetable like normal retail businesses.

Went here earlier this week. The service is very warm and friendly and I had one of the best flat whites in my life. Perfectly extracted espresso, full of flavour. To me it tasted like passion fruit ice cream. Very sweet, fruity and creamy. The milk was spot on and the perfect temperature. Shame I don't like nearby otherwise this would be my regular spot. The only downside was I came here at midday and they had ran of food completely which is a shame.
