Lou is a fantastic Maths teacher, she understands her students’ needs and manages their progress closely. As a result of her dedication and charisma, my son managed to jump three grades up within a couple of terms. He was extremely pleased with his GCSE results last week and he cannot thank her enough.

My son started lessons with Lou in this last academic year. He was fairly able but really lacking in confidence, struggling with exams, and feeling fairly stressed about it all. Lou spotted this immediately and even after the first week we noticed a difference in him. Lou is an exceptional teacher, she is one of those special people who just connects with young people and can motivate and inspire them. She identifies individual needs and tailors her lessons on a one to one basis. Her teaching is well resourced and well delivered, an experienced and truly outstanding teacher. Our son improved dramatically in his work but more importantly in his confidence, he believed he could achieve, and he felt able to tackle topics which were previously really difficult for him, and he actually began enjoying his Maths again, which was fantastic for us to see. We watched him develop and gain confidence week on week. Instead of dreading the final exam he wanted to do it and show what he could achieve. Lou is extremely friendly, positive and welcoming, the atmosphere in her lessons was always supportive, calm and motivational, a real can-do approach all round. She genuinely cares about her students and our son felt totally supported and at home with her and enjoyed his lessons. We cannot fault the lessons and support he had and we really dread to think how our son would have coped without her this year. Having Lou was without doubt the best decision we made for him this year and he totally agrees. Highly, highly recommended ! You simply will not find a better tutor.

We approached Lou to tutor our daughter just six months before her GCSE exams. Lou not only guided our daughter to achieve her best but given the short time before the exams tailored to our daughters needs. Lou is very competent tutor, experienced and very patient.
