My son started Kumon in 2016, He was struggling to do the maths and even won't pay attention to read his books. He progressed a lot in the last 6 years, he is now in Year 5. We have been very lucky as Tayo is amazing, hard-working and caring. We have always received feedback and followed a learning path through his assessments. My daughter attended a one-to-one lesson online for 2 yrs till she completed GCSE in year 11 for Maths and English. What I like most was the regular feedback after each lesson given by the tutors. Dee has such amazing tutors who are dedicated to their craft and help to grow confidence in the children. A little while into the sessions when Dee realised that the English lessons were not aligned to the exam board my daughter will be taken for GCSE, contrary to what we told her; she advised me to find a tutor that is aligned to that particular exam board. This showed that she was dedicated to the children’s need and not just about making money. The care and precision taken to understand each child’s needs was very impressive for me. My daughter was able to attain 8 in maths with the constant help and growth from the tutors. Josh is a great A level Computer Science tutor. He has notes covering every topic and creates a positive learning environment. His sessions are very useful for consolidating the work done at school and refining knowledge and technique for exams.

Whilst looking for help for my son on the lead up to his GCSEs, we found an advert for tutoring and were immediately put at ease from the first conversation. My son has always struggled with attention and focus in his Maths lessons, but since starting his sessions, his attitude and confidence have improved greatly. Feedback has always been honest, encouraging and relatable. The one on one sessions have helped with focus, strategy and helped make studying and the exam process more manageable.

Gill was so thorough in her approach, and explained things in a way that my Son really understood. His confidence improved dramatically with each session. The practice exam was really helpful in learning how to use the time efficiently. After each session I was given a good run through of how it had gone and what we needed to do at home between sessions. This is the second time we’ve used Kip McGrath for 11+ tutoring and will definitely be back in a few years when our next Son needs to prepare for it.
