Becky has been teaching my twins for a few months and I’m so pleased with the lessons and how my children are both progressing. We had a very positive experience with Lawrence, who taught our son both Maths and English, for a few months coming up to GCSE exams. I think that it's really helped our son's confidence, and almost certainly will have helped the grades too. Lawrence is very patient, enthusiastic, and clearly relates well to children/ teenagers of this sort of age.

We were looking for a tutor to help our 13 year old daughter and Lawrence was recommended by a friend. Our daughter sat in the middle of the pack in terms of marks within her class and in our opinion, she was getting overlooked and needed some extra tuition and encouragement. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Katie for helping my daughter in Maths. Lily is in year 11 and preparing for her GCSEs. She has only been going to MagiKats since September and has already gone up a grade in school. She really enjoys going to her sessions, never grumbles about it and does the homework set without any problems, even though she has so much school homework on top. Katie has helped Lily's confidence in Maths and because of her teaching method, Lily understands certain areas now that she didn't before. Lily was nervous about being in a small group, only because she had no confidence in Maths, but after a few sessions she was much more comfortable. Nick is such a great tutor he did some amazing work with my son and through some tricky times he tailored learning around his Minecraft passion and so learning became fun. I highly recommend to anyone that is looking to get their child some support or extra learning. Nick has provided teaching lessons for my daughter for over 5 years. My daughter is now 10. Nick teaches in a variety of essential learning skills in line with national curriculum pathways, relevant to the current year of study. Nick has a good knowledge and understanding of national curriculum requirements at every level of reception and junior school level. He also teaches senior school kids. Additionally, Nick actively communicates with the schools to ensure his teaching sessions dovetail with the pupil. Nick was particularly invaluable during the pandemic, Providing additional on line sessions with my daughter. He continues to provide a great service at a reasonable price. Even when teaching online, he has a range of tools to ensure the child is engaged and is able to concentrate. He is professional and punctual. Nick is a brilliant teacher who makes learning maths interesting and fun, my girls (ages 4-14) always look forward to his sessions. David has been tutoring my daughter for the last year or so .He has a fantastic ability to relate to children and makes the tutoring fun whilst providing a level of challenge based on the child’s ability.I have seen a huge improvement and progress in my daughter’s learning but also in her confidence- David’s passion for Physics and Maths is infectious. Khalid has been phenomenal with my son in preparation for his GCSEs. We were in need of a maths tutor as he was struggling, both with the subject and with his confidence. Khalid has been an absolute godsend, improving him in both departments. From the get-go, my son was so impressed with Khalid calm and composed learning techniques. He compared this with his school teachers where any questions asked they needed to refer back to their notes, not with Khalid, he knew everything instantly, which gave my son confidence. What attracted us to Khalid, on top of his really good teaching review, was his expertise in exam preparation. The techniques he used and thoroughly went through each lesson set the foundation and this really did help my son when I was going through some of his past papers. And then, you don’t just acquire Khalid superb knowledge, he provides you with so much revision material whether it be revision guides, work books or past papers, all of these really did help. Khalid would use the work books and past papers and set small homework’s between sessions and would spend time marking it and provide feedback which was so important. My son went from not particularly liking/enjoying maths, to it being one of his favourite topics. He thoroughly enjoyed attending the lessons and would always come out of these very content with how it went. It was clear that Khalid cared for his students, would move things around to ensure it fit well, would be available if needed additional lessons and always provided feedback. Leading up to my sons exams, Khalid specialises in Physics as well as Maths and we were fortunate enough to get lessons for that as well. As exams approached, and throughout them, Khalid tailored his sessions around my sons exam timetable, going through Maths, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. If you’d have seen the difference between my son from his last mocks to his formal GCSEs exams, it was like looking at a different kid and this is purely down to spending valuable time with Khalid. Angie is just amazing! Not only is she a maths genius, but she completely understands and can relate to her students. Within only a couple of sessions she had successfully rekindled my son’s motivation for his A-level maths. Covid and lockdowns had stolen much of his drive previously. Angie’s encouragement, enthusiasm and very focussed approach worked wonders for embedding his understanding. She took the time to go through completed homework assignments and every lesson was then tailored specifically to areas which required additional support. Angie has been amazing for my son , he really struggled to motivate himself through lock down and home learning, this resulting in low gradeS and a loss of interest in maths . My daughter had lessons with Brad to help cover areas not looked at by school. The help Brad gave pushed Charlotte and have her the skills needed to tackle the areas of the paper school hadn’t covered. He was also absolutely lovely and on the run up to the exams gave masses of advice and encouragement. Thank you for providing an excellent Tutor to help my son taking a year 7 entrance exam. We have used Nottingham tutors before and my son based entrance exam to get into a private school. Emma was excellent in teaching my son English, Math and reasoning. She made sure he understood everything, she provided advise, relevant material and guidance on learning /studying for exams and has been reliable throughout.
