Four of us popped in for spot of lunch after a walk around the town and beach side. It was very busy, but the Govenor asked 2 of the customers if they would move to a 2 person table. Thank you. We then took our seats, placed our order and after a short while received a wonderful spread. Hats off to the team a big well done!! See you all again soon. A wonderful atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious food, could not fault it, and would be back in a heartbeat for their sandwich. Some of the courtyard could do with a tidy up to make it more appealing. The service was with a smile but very slow.

Fantastic food and service, friendly and welcoming. Just got back from a lovely lunch break, we had a huge pot a tea and two beautifully fresh Ciabattas. Looking forward to next time. Thank you for the great lunch.

Had breakfast here during a visit to Hythe. It was simply magnificent, food cooked to perfection and plenty of it. The staff were lovely and really made me feel welcome. I’ll be back……

Delightful place, we needed a table for 6, which caused a problem or two. Asked for a selection of cakes which looked and tasted delicious. Three cups of tea, 2 milkshakes( these were ok but not cold) and a tap water. The total came to £44. The cash machine didn't work, luckily hubby and I had enough cash between us. The toilet door kept being left open by customers, straight onto serving area not pleasant and that is why I have taken stars off.

We had the pleasure of eating at the King's Head yesterday.. We had the Thai set meal priced £14.50 including starters and mains.Wow what fantastic food ! Beautifully presented and seasoned and cooked by an authentic Thai chef. The chicken satay was divine and the Chicken Green Thai curry was the best I have eaten. I would recommend this restaurant and pub to anyone. Friendly and nice atmosphere. We will be returning.

I loved it the people were friendly and the food was amazing. I ordered the "pad preaw" it's like a thai sweet n' sour and it was the best I've ever had. You have a choice of either chicken/pork duck/king prawn/beef or the mix vegetables. It's also served with a rice dome which is nicely presented overall amazingly good experience. ps: there is a very friendly white husky dog

Went for lunch to this ancient pub in Hythe High St. It was a quiet day but I was welcomed by the landlord and offered to sit wherever I liked. The pub benefits from a real log fire so I sat in that area. I ordered chicken breast with vegetables and a tarragon sauce. It was an ok meal but my chicken was a bit dry and overcooked, not enough to complain about but just a bit average overall. The atmosphere was a little lacking but I think it's just because it was a very quiet day.

Had great food, excellent entertainment (Russell Martin I think) & land lady looked after us. Ensuring we had a table to eat at & slightly shuffling the menu in our favour. Thank you.

Incredible authentic Thai food, great atmosphere and Singha beer on tap. The papaya salad was out of this world good - and the Pad Thai was equally delicious - both really beautifully presented as well. The garden is awesome - with plants and a greenhouse - banana plants for sale as well. Overall, a really lovely place for Thai food, the owners have done an awesome job and I look forward to going back here. Totally recommend this place

What a lovely cafe at Brockhill Country Park! Delicious cakes and puddings. Good coffee and variety of teas. So friendly staff. Great

Used to visit here as a student of the school next door and still stop by from time to time. The cafe is one of the key parts that make visiting the park such a joy. Food is good quality, well priced, and served by friendly staff. Facilities are good, too, for both adults and kids. Accessibility is also great for wheelchairs and prams etc.

Nice selection of vegetarian dishes and tasty even for a meat eater. Free cookie with secret word and tasty cakes.

We’ve been working in the area and have made it our go to breakfast place after visiting several others first. Love the Kippers and the Coffees great too! Friendly and attentive staff , located on the beach in Hythe nice atmosphere and great views of the sea!
Rating: 5 / 5
Great location. Great service. Great breakfast. We stopped here for breakfast on our first day on holiday and what can I say it was really nice. The location of the Lazy Shack and especially its outdoor seating area are right on the beach with an unspoiled view across the sea. Dog and family friendly. We ordered our meals at the tables when the friendly waitress came over and got everything perfect for us. Reasonable prices for delicious food. We liked everything about the Lazy Shack and definitely recommend it. They don’t have a car park but you can park on the street at the sea front.

Hythe Imperial Hotel
Princes Parade, Hythe CT21 6AE, UK | Hotel P: 01303 267441
Rating: 4.2 (1987) Price Level:
Absolutely everything excellent. We didn’t go for a sea view so paid considerably less than those who would have opted for a sea view. But for what we paid, excellent value. Incredibly clean, fresh and welcoming staff. Ideal location for getting into Folkestone with a fair amount on the local high street. I may not have been quite as ecstatic in my review if id have spent that bit more on a sea view room but for what we paid, we’ll certainly be back.

Lovely hotel opposite Hythe beach. Beautiful outside spaces and we'll cared for garden. The spa is quite basic but has everything you need, sadly no outside furniture on the patios here which was disappointing considering the Lovely weather. The food is the restaurant was amazing and the young service staff were a credit to the place. A lovely relaxed weekend in beautiful surroundings. Would definitely recommend both the hotel and restaurant.

This was our second visit to the Hotel. It's a very smart hotel throughout and has a lovely formal garden area out front. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was very clean and "roomy". Our bed was big and comfortable and the shower,a "rainfall " type was lovely. We had a drink in the bar in the afternoon of our second day. I met Chloe the bar attendant and had a lovely chat about our favourite whiskies.

Great smashed avocado and poached egg, pear and caramelised walnut salad for lunch, but skip the loaded fries. They were too popular so there was a long waiting time for our meal

We had dinner tonight with the new menu , we had breaded Brie and scotch egg to start and two smash burgers for main. I must say all of the food was amazing and came out quickly but the quality was exceptional! We also had a few glasses of red wine each and was a really reasonable price. Lovely music and great atmosphere . Really impressed . Loved it !

The Waterfront Hythe

Rating: 4.1 (885) Price Level:
Had a late lunch here and had a wonderful time. There’s some lovely views inside and nice tables. The staff are very friendly and good service. The atmosphere was nice with other customers being friendly. And decor was cute. The calamari was very good, the pork belly salad was also very nice. Fish and chips was well made and tasty. And the burger was good too. I can’t fault this place at all. The drinks were really nice too. The prices are slightly pricey but that’s in line with the type of establishment it is so it didn’t feel unreasonable or unexpected. Would recommend for a nice meal in Hithe.
Rating: 5 / 5
The Waterfront is suited on the promenade in Hythe Kent and as it's name suggests is right by the sea. The menu features lots of seafood including traditional fish and chips as well as mussels, hake and more with daily specials also featured. The seating is comfortable and on the warm day I visited the parasols were up giving some nice shade in the outside area. There is also a veranda and a nice indoor area too! It also has a beach bar next to the main restaurant serving cocktails and spritzers etc. plus sandwiches bakes and snacks. They have entry of staff so service is swift and food comes up quickly. Prices are moderate. They have toilets There is wheelchair access A lovely place to enjoy both a snack and a full meal
Rating: 4 / 5
Pleasantly surprised! Having seen the decor and how busy it was I thought it was more of a place to be seen rather than to eat so when the food was as good as it was I was surprised. We went along on a Friday where there was live music and the atmosphere was amazing. Not one complaint about the food! It was all great. Portions are generous so if you’re a big eater you’re onto a winner here. The fish pie was amazing and the fish did not stop coming, it was crammed with delicious fish and prawns and the mash was buttery and smooth 5* Highly recommend for a dinner date with partners and groups! If I’m back in Hythe I will definitely visit again!

Coast Restaurant

Rating: 3.8 (4) Price Level:
We stayed at the Hythe Imperial this week and enjoyed a nice meal in the Coast Restaurant their last night. The food was absolutely delicious and we were well looked after by friendly servers. My only reason for only giving 4 stars was the ambience: it was incredibly bright in the restaurant and the lights could be dimmed. The music was also some weird mix of songs on repeat which didn’t suit the setting. Food was great and the hotel is lovely.

Came here for a meal last week eith my husband and it was delicious. We each had 3 courses and some booze and the total bill came to around £130. For the first time ever we both had the same menu. Bread and butter for the table Starter.... ham hock terrine with a Poached egg and black pudding crumb Main..... sirloin steak (one ordered medium rare, the other rare and they came out a little rarer than that but still hot and delicious) Pudding....brioche bread and butter pudding. Few Carlsbergs, a bottle of water and a large glass of Pinot. Nomz.
