Hythe Electrical rewired my whole house. They were very tidy, reliable and reasonably priced. Have already recommended them to my friend. They came back straight away when I got water into the plug socket and I had no power in the lounge. Thoroughly recommend.

Popped in here for a meal following a short coastal walk in the sun. We found the restaurant area to be spacious and welcoming. The overall atmosphere was pleasingly calm and the area was very clean. My wife ordered Rainbow Chicken Salad which she said was wonderful. I had the Pork Chop on Wild Garlic Mash with Green Beans. The chop was served with some splendid crackling and was of a healthy size (large), perfect. The veg was well cooked and was nicely presented. I found the cutlery to be very blunt and if you have difficulty with your hands, as my wife does, it would be difficult to navigate such a large portion of meat. I would advise the proprietors to invest in some decent steak knives and forks. That said the meal was lovely as was the service. For desert we had a Sundae. Lovely. I would highly recommend this establishment for couples and families.

Absolutely lovely pub we went to dinner for. Coeliac aware and felt so safe giving my order as someone who works there has a coeliac daughter. I had steak with peppercorn sauce and chips and it was absolutely amazing! Portions are great and service was lovely. Super friendly people there. Had great gluten free options that are different from the normal options. Steak night is 30% off on Thursdays which we were pleasantly surprised to arrive to. Shame we don't live nearby or we'd be back regularly! Thanks so much!

We didn't have a room, but eat and gad the Seabass and was lovely. Great sized fish portion. Cooked ti perfection. The only thing I would say is when it's so hot like it was today we only wanted Orange juice and it was warm. Which spoilt it. When hot please try and make surd got plenty of chilled OJ and others

Really enjoyed our breakfast here yesterday, they catered very well for my so son’s gluten intolerance. Most of the breakfast items are gluten free but they also have gluten free toast and he had that with smoked salmon. Veggies breakfast was great and the peach iced tea is great. Would definitely recommend and return. I did get busy which slowed down the service a bit but we weren’t in a rush and it was nice to take our time.

Warm welcome, great food, good service. Delicious Breakfast (Twenty Four) and Breakfast bagel. Mushroom, hash browns and bacon - devine. Beans okay, eggs perfectly cooked but golden yolk eggs would level this breakfast up as would a better sausage (i.e. from a butcher). Also butter wasn't room temperature so couldn't easily spread on the toast however was a lovely breakfast and absolutely can't complain! Recommend!

We had have an excellent Turkish food for the first time 2 days ago. Staff and service were nice and friendly there. That is absolutely amazing experience and we will definitely go back again. Turkish breads are so delicious, marinated squid is fresh and yummy! The taste of Hummus is good, but it’s quite heavy for me. Meat mussaka and ET Sote are also great. Rice pudding dessert is so fantastic.

Really lovely restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes great food, a lovely atmosphere and wonderful service. Definitely would come again if we come back to Hythe. We had the mixed cold meze for two and it was Devine. Also two hot meze, the calamari and whitebait and both were really lovely. Also ordered a mixed grill and it was cooked perfectly. A truly lovely experience over all. We sadly ate everything before taking a snap and only got a pic of the dessert 😜

We went on a Bank Holiday Monday Evening with Excellent food and service. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. Our starters were excellent, hummus and olives with flat bread. Why can't shop bought hummus be this good. The Chicken Sish and Lamb (Adana)for our mains. Again, lovely flavours. Washed down with a nice Turkish Rose. We rounded off with Chocolate Fudge and a Rocky horror. The restaurant was buzzing with a great atmosphere, and we will definitely go again. They also do a lunch time set menu for approx £20 whish is fantastic value.

There are lots of places to eat along Hythe High Street, and this one was the busiest. That alone tells you something. A big array of freshly baked cakes and goodies and an extensive menu to choose from. I had a bacon bap today, and there sure was plenty of good bacon in there. A pot of tea for one gets you two large cups, so great value there. I had a coffee last time and that was very good. As was the homemade scone! Lots of seating, indoors and out (some of the outside under shelter), lovely staff and excellent service. Highly recommended.

Popped in for lunch. Found the staff friendly and welcoming. I ordered a jacket potato with Chili con carne and a large flat white coffee. The chili was clearly home made and was tasty, the potato also came with a side salad with a tasty dressing. I dined inside and enjoyed the 1940's style music gently playing in the background. There is a small, covered courtyard or an outside area so plenty of choices of where to sit. They have a really nice selection of homemade cakes,I had a slice of spiced apple cake which was very tasty indeed. In terms of prices this cafe is a little cheaper than some of the others along Hythe High street. I would revisit this cafe, I saw other food coming out,it all looked well presented.

Lympne Castle

The St, Lympne, Hythe CT21 4LQ, UK | Wedding Venue
P: 01303 533533

Rating: 4.7 (424) Price Level:

My partner and I viewed Lympne Castle while deciding on our wedding venue. We didn’t end up choosing Lympne, purely just due to liking some of the building features of another venue better, but it was a really hard decision. Joy, who showed us around, was absolutely amazing. So considerate, so warm and put up with one of my bridal party asking about twenty million questions like an absolute pro. There was a real sense that whatever kind of vibe we wanted, the team would make it work - and Joy was really considerate of cost, too. If the other venue didn’t exist we 1000% would have had our wedding here and I’m sure that we would have been extremely well looked after. The naughty dog bistro round the corner is excellent as well, and all the staff were lovely and really considerate about allergies. We’ll definitely be back to stay.

We got married at Lympne Castle a few weeks ago and it was perfect. The location is outstanding - a beautiful castle, stunning grounds and a view over the sea. The staff are friendly and hard working. Joy - the event manager - was fantastic to work with, and made sure our day flowed seamlessly and enjoyably. I love what the new owners have done with castle - keeping its history and beauty while adding some quirky new features such as the dog-themed bistro and medieval bar. Couldn't recommend this location more highly. Not just for weddings, but for any sort of event, or casual lunch/drink. Will be back many, many more times.

We had such a great experience at Lympne Castle when we recently hired the West Wing for a special family event. We were able to decorate the room as we wished beforehand; the events team (Laura and Dan) were professional, accommodating and generally very helpful; the waiting staff on the day were also professional and friendly, and the food was delicious. We were offered various packages to suit our requirements, and able to adapt these further where necessary. Added to all this, we enjoyed a stunning view from the bay window, as well as exclusive access to the private garden. Everyone has said how much they enjoyed the day and that the venue and the staff were excellent.

Book this for your wedding/reception - you won’t be disappointed! So we got married in the church (next door) and hired out one of the rooms in the castle for our reception. I can’t fault the service. It was spectacular and really made our day special. I don’t think I’ve ever had service like that where the staff are so professional, personable and just amazing all round. We were aware that we didn’t hire out the venue or anything like that specifically for our wedding - it was a room in the castle so we didn’t really expect much. But the staff made us feel like we did. They even roped in some of the gardeners to pull smoke bombs for one of our pictures! The staff made every effort. Laura and Mike were great and went beyond expectations. We just have no complaints at all with anything. It was an amazing day. The castle itself is picture perfect and for us was the perfect setting. It’s rich in history and the attention to details is incredible. There’s multiple rooms of varying sizes. We had a small wedding so hired out one of the smaller rooms but it looks like they can cater to a wedding of any size. We also stayed in one of the cottages within the castle grounds along with the guests which were equally perfect. Pretty much every wedding I’ve been to the food has been mediocre at best. But the food here was great. Everybody really enjoyed the food. The kitchen obviously know what they’re doing so kudos to them. This is honestly the best place to have your wedding. You’re in very safe hands with the staff here, the castle is gorgeous (and the views!) and the we couldn’t think of a better place to do it. Thank you for the special day!

Four of us popped in for spot of lunch after a walk around the town and beach side. It was very busy, but the Govenor asked 2 of the customers if they would move to a 2 person table. Thank you. We then took our seats, placed our order and after a short while received a wonderful spread. Hats off to the team a big well done!! See you all again soon. A wonderful atmosphere.

Delightful place, we needed a table for 6, which caused a problem or two. Asked for a selection of cakes which looked and tasted delicious. Three cups of tea, 2 milkshakes( these were ok but not cold) and a tap water. The total came to £44. The cash machine didn't work, luckily hubby and I had enough cash between us. The toilet door kept being left open by customers, straight onto serving area not pleasant and that is why I have taken stars off.
