Rating: 4.7 (50) Price Level:
Really pleased I found this place! Great atmosphere with cool music, a warm welcome, plus the drinks selection and food are outstanding. Certainly some very cool and very different nachos and some amazing imported mexican sauces.
Rating: 4 / 5
Nice place overall. Birria sauce was very lacking. High prices but tacos in particular didn't really justify their price. Decent enough to stop in too. Given 4 stars as a few tweaks would make a big difference.
Rating: 5 / 5
The red guacamole is lovely, BUT the tacos are out of this world! Would definitely recommend.

The Captain's Table Cafe
26 The Stade, Folkestone CT19 6AE, UK | Cafe P: 07716 014569
Rating: 4.5 (576) Price Level:
Fantastic English breakfast & latte, parking was free for up to 2 hours directly outside (if you manage to get a space), plus prices seem reasonable too. It was the perfect stop off for 4 cold bikers on a December bike ride. We will be back (when it gets a bit warmer š„¶)
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely, friendly service! Perfect location with a good menu selection. Menu items were a little pricier but you are paying for the convenience of location and great service. The hot chocolates and lattes looked amazing! I opted for a mocha, but wish I had chosen one of those as they were cheaper and looked delicious!
Rating: 4 / 5
Nice clean cafe, polite staff. Theyāre very generous with the cheese on the jacket potatoes which I loved and a really decent tasting and styled salad. A little pricey for a jacket though to be honest.
Rating: 5 / 5
Popped in very early so was empty, had a decent cappuccino and plumped for the Eggs Benedict, was not disappointed. Good portion size and tasted fantastic. Recommended. Good value for breakfast don't forget they accept cards but prefer cash if possible.

Could well be my new favourite breakfast spot, in Folkestone. Friendly, efficient staff, clean and tidy restaurant with attractive decor and chilled atmosphere. Food is of high quality, served quickly, piping hot and delicious. I felt that the food and drinks were fairly priced. Couldn't fault my visit.

Freshly cooked, hot and plenty of it. Very good quality and extremely reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Had a late lunch. Dad had a fried breakfast & I had a meal from the kids menu. Besides the eggs being slightly overcooked, everything else was cooked to perfection! Highly recommend & definitely returning again! Staff was very welcoming, hospitable & friendly. 5/5 ā

Best English breakfast in town (they told me... and I can confirm) Very nice and polite service. Food was really good.

Had breakfast here this morning, it was absolutely delicious! Great menu with a good variety of choices at excellent value. Our food came quickly, piping hot and good sized portions. The food was also of a good quality and cooked to perfection, especially the eggs. The stand out part though was the excellent staff giving a fantastic warm friendly welcome, prompt table service (despite being really busy) and going above and beyond to interact with all customers. As a pub & restaurant landlord & landlady, from our point of view, this place has the perfect balance of everything which has clearly made it THE place to go for breakfast in Folkestone. We will definitely be back! š

Rating: 4.5 (72) Price Level:
Stopped by for brunch on a sunny Saturday morning place was very busy but there were seats inside, despite the outside terrace looking full in the sun. Decided to have the Harbour Master cooked breakfast, the wife decided on the Fisherman's breakfast. Mine was cooked perfectly, good portions and the hash brown bites a delight!

Gourmet Kitchen
124A Sandgate Rd, Folkestone CT20 2BW, UK | Cafe P: 01303 255762
Rating: 4.6 (230) Price Level:
A very tasty brunch, fresh with quality ingredients, not greasy at all. I had a vegan and my partner a full English brunch. We both left happy and very full, with a piece of cake and a sourdough bread to go š The staff is very friendly too. It's not the first and definitely not the last time we will visit!
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely place, excellent food, heart-warming customer service. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant with new brazilian beef sandwich and Brazilian steak night this Saturday!
Rating: 5 / 5
Excellent full English, happy to accommodate one change and what a delight to find a chef who knows how to cook tomatoes and add herbs to enhance. This is a rarity! The quality of ingredients was excellent, bacon nice and crisp as requested, delicious sausage. Friendly and warm service, clearly a popular place with some tables reserved. I asked for both my drinks (chai and flat white) to be extra hot. They were reasonably hot but not extra hot. I always ask everywhere I go because I can't bare tepid drinks! Highly recommended! Thank you š

I've never been able to get into the Gourmet Kitchen when I have visited. Folkstone, what just happened that it was quiet when we walked past today. The 4.7 rating on Google is very, very well deserved! Service is excellent, The atmosphere very convivial and the food is amazing. I have a soft spot anything with pastrami and gherkins and I was not disappointed with the lovely toasted sandwiches we ordered. The bagel avocado, mozzarella and roasted tomato bagel was epic š. We will be back!

Coopson Technologies Ltd
17 Downs Rd, Folkestone CT19 5PJ, UK | Electrician P: 01303 377169
Rating: 4.6 (12) Price Level:
I am a first time buyer and had a survey done on the house I am hoping to buy which required me to get someone to look at the electrics. Lewis at Coopson Technologies could not have been more friendly and helpful. I was booked in within the week to have an electrical EICR report. I was talked through everything on the report. Everything was explained and nothing was too much trouble. As a first time buyer I was nervous and asked a lot of questions! I am really happy I booked this company and when I get the house (fingers crossed) I will be booking Lewis for the jobs listed, thanks again. A happy customer!
Rating: 5 / 5
This service provider ticks all the boxes in being truly client- centric. Attributes include professionalism, friendliness, reliability, fair pricing and āgoing the extra mile! I would unhesitatingly recommend him to family and friends.
Rating: 5 / 5
I cannot praise Lewis highly enough for his quick and helpful response. He walked me through fault finding over the phone and I would highly recommend Coopson technologies to anyone.
Rating: 5 / 5
Outstanding service! Its alway tricky to find a professional and reliable contractor. We were very fortunate to discover coopson technologies. We required a full 'Electrical Installation Condition Report' for a property purchase and chose coopson, after speaking with 3 contractors in the area, as we were so impressed with how helpful Lewis was when speaking on the phone. He was able to accommodate the day we needed and his communication was excellent throughout. The test was carried out and the report followed promptly. I asked to speak with Lewis over the phone to go over a couple of highlighted areas and, again, he was very helpful. A couple of minor issues required further works which he was happy to discuss and book in at a time that suited us after completion of the purchase. 5* service and will definitely be using Coopson for future works! Thanks

Aspendos Folkestone
6, Aspen House, Folkestone CT20 1TH, UK | Turkish Restaurant P: 01303 241688
Rating: 4.6 (1104) Price Level:
Went there last week and had a great experience. They serve excellent Turkish dishes- the kebabs and platters were generous in portion and tastes great. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I noticed afterwards that they didnāt include a service fee in the bill which I only realized when I got home. Could leave a tip for the great service. Despite this, I recommend this place for their food and service
Rating: 5 / 5
Woooow! Donāt think about it just book it. Itās was amazing. The staff could not do enough for you. The food portions were huge, and tasted AMAZING! Finished off by complementary lolly pops for the kids and baklava and Turkish tea for us! We will be returning more than once. Thank you a great experience.
Rating: 5 / 5
Came for a celebration meal with family. Managed to get a seat outside without reserving, but looks like it gets pretty busy so probably best to book ahead. Had the platter for 2/3 people to share with two cold meze to start. The stuffed vine leaves were very good! The star of the show was the meats, all of which were full of flavour and juicy! There was a lot of rice and bulgur to go with it so definitely a good portion for 3 people. To finish I had a Turkish coffee which came with a piece of Turkish delight. I'd not had a Turkish coffee before, but I was very pleasantly surprised as it had a similar taste to chocolate. Staff were great and the price was fairly reasonable for the portion size you get!

Visited here many times with friends and family and will continue to do so! Beautiful interior and lovely staff members make the atmosphere feel welcoming. Great food and drink every single visit, I highly recommend the hot chocolates!
Rating: 4 / 5
A lovely discovery day 1 but day 2 not so good. I had breakfast and the food was cooked beautifully and with quality ingredients. Further, the kitchen amended the standard menu listing to what I wanted. Comfortable surrounds . Pleasant staff with largely good and speedy service. Given the table call buttons and waiting on service the 'welcome desk' is somewhat formal and unnecessary . Not the cheapest but I think with the positive experience largely appropriate ... It means it's a now and again treat rather than more regular. I will definitely be returning here. I did return the next day as it happened given I was so pleased. Alas the same breakfast was one poached egg and one tomato less than the day before. The manager did bring a second egg but was very reluctant and was abrasive rather than apologetic, suggesting I'd ordered extra the day before . Hopefully a one off blip as the food was again good and not a weights and measures issue. He then tried to charge me for the 2nd egg but finally gave in to just charging 30 p more for a one tomato less meal than yesterday ! I think they need to get their act together here as they turned a delighted returning customer into one that would consider twice about going a further time. My initial five stars across the board have been revised down.

Have been several times now for breakfast. Food was delicious and well presented. So far, there isn't anything on the menu I wouldn't recommend. Staff has always been nice and friendly. The time to wait for food was less than what I expected, granted, I missed the peak times. The restaurant itself is clean and has a nice style that sets it apart from the surrounding area. Would highly recommend.

1st time eating here, and I should have read the review from the owner, what a plonker I am walking up and down the road a few times until I phoned up felt a fool , inside the scuba the man said and down stairs err . Anyway the starters were to die for , the home cooked Sunday roast beef dinner was probably one of the best I've eaten in a very long time the restaurant was full and I am one of those with very good hearing and all I could hear was how amazing the food was from every table, the chef definitely knows how to cook and his presentation of his food on the plate made you just want to eat the whole lot, I highly recommend eating here and I will definitely be eating during the week as well as Sundays

Really delicious food - the produce sings here and you can taste the quality. The menu says small plates but they are very generous, we had six dishes between two and couldn't finish! Stand out dishes were the venison, skate wing and scallops. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommend.
