One of my closest friends and I chose the visit this pub after both having a rather tough week. On arrival we saw a sign that said a ‘warm welcome was awaiting from Stewart’ and he did not disappoint! His welcome into the pub had that personal touch which made us feel immediately comfortable and happy with our choice to visit.
I have been several times over the years but this was my best visit yet. The food was excellent, served quickly on a busy Friday night and tasted excellent from grazing dishes all through to dessert. We were served by Jane who was attentive, friendly and always polite. I had the duck pizza (adding bacon made it even better) and the honeycomb dome for pudding which was delicious.
I will definitely visit again and thank all the staff for their excellent service.

We joined for Christmas day lunch. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. Made us feel like one big restaurant family having lunch together. The food was delicious and well presented. The timings perfect and not being rushed to finish. Just a lovely and enjoyable meal. Thank you

Fantastic food with very friendly warm welcome as you’re walking in Annie was our server and she was fantastic. The food was amazing. Would recommend it all will definitely be coming again 10 out of 10.

Went here for Christmas dinner great atmosphere excellent food well looked after if you have not been there try it you feel special we go several times a year

We have just enjoyed an excellent 3 course Christmas dinner, the food was so tasty and there was plenty of it… Our waitress was Annabelle who was polite, attentive and happy to help with our orders.. all the staff were very welcoming including Stuart the manager who made time to chat to us. Would definitely book again..
