I wish I had this cafe near where I live. I would go there every morning, if not every week to get their amazing breakfast 🥹
We were visiting Folkestone and on the very last day in the morning before we left the town, we decided to have breakfast there.
I’m simply glad I did - it’s on the iconic old street and the view from the cafe is what I find so cinematic - I felt as if I was in a scene from a film or something.
The place is busy but in the morning it wasn’t too hard to find the seats.
We ordered granola, porridge, croissant and toasted banana bread with a pot of tea. It was massive that I felt full - and every meal was nicely prepared and I felt healthy eating them. My favourite was the toasted banana bread - the best banana bread I’ve ever had.
I can’t forget to mention that all of the staff were very welcoming and lovely. They made my morning great. Thank you so much for providing great service!
Folkestone has evolved over the years and Steep Street occupies that spot as the “go to” place for coffee, cake and chilled vibes. Perfectly made proper coffee, the cakes are delicious (and I don’t even have a sweet tooth) and it’s created a family friendly, local vibe that’s always busy. Highly recommended.
Fantastic café with a cozy atmosphere. There's bookshelves all around, the coffee is just great (both mocha and salted caramel, my favourite), and then staff always friendly.
A little piece of London in Folkestone!
Cool and cute cafe with a lovely decor and atmosphere. I highly recommend the cappuccino (one with coconut milk is divine) and a slice of one of their lovely cakes.
What’s also great is when you get a slice of cake it’s a proper slice - not a slither!
The coffee is some of the best I’ve had in the area.
A relaxing coffee place with lots of books to choose from and great for conversations. I tried the biscoff hot chocolate and it was one of the best I have tried! Highly recommend for anyone who loves hot chocolate. We also tried the chocolate cake. It was a bit too sweet for me. The service was great and the staff were friendly. Absolutely love this place.
