This is probably the best place to go for coffee in Tonbridge, I'm not been anywhere else in Tonbridge so I can't say anyone is better. What I would say is that this place is hard to beat in Tonbridge for speciality coffee. It serves I believe it's own bespoke blend by cast iron coffee, based in Sussex. The view out the front window of the castle is pretty good too. I have also been to its previous premises in Tonbridge which was the old fire station, both places serve excellent coffee. 'nuff said!

Amazing coffee next to the river offers a picturesque setting to enjoy your morning cup of joe. The coffee is rich and flavorful, with just the perfect balance & super smooth. The ambiance of the river adds to the relaxing experience of sipping on a delicious cup of coffee.

A great spot to enjoy the atmosphere in Tonbridge with a view of the castle and river just off the high street. I brought my family from Germany who had reservations about British food and the food they had changed their opinion completely. The service was wonderful and we felt very welcome. The coffee was great and the staff knowledgeable and helpful, so we all got exactly the drink we needed.

Hands down the best coffee in Tonbridge, I nearly always pop in when in the area. The staff are consistently great and always very friendly, the service is efficient even when there are many orders flying in. Dogs are very welcome too.

We booked a table for four, only one had a starter the prawn cocktail, which was excellent. We all had different mains, all of which were also excellent, also pretty big portions so ensure you bring your appetite with you! The young waitress was polite and patient, though obviously a little inexperieced when it came to the wine list. The australian shiraz that we chose however was supurb. The deserts were unfortunatly not so good, the Baileys cheese cake was bland and the ice cream was full of ice crystals. The coffee and Baileys/ coffee and Irish whiskey were very good, really nice coffee, the booze speaks for it's self!! Over all the cost was about £140 for the four of us, so not to bad. I've paid more for worse! In conclusion, a great ancient pub with log burners and a friendly welcome, great service and food. Well worth a visit for a meal or simply a good drink.

Nice pub in a nice location with a large garden. Garden looking a bit tatty and unloved. Staff friendly. The food is quite normal pub grub but it was nice, and I think prepared on site (sadly not always the case in many pubs and restaurants these days) Dropping a star because it felt unnecessarily expensive - £17 for a burger & chips is dear, even in today's inflation steeped environment.

Traditional, dog friendly pub with great service and great tasting food. Visited here with the Mrs and our dog. Had a couple of pints, a toad in the hole, and place. Either the food was lovely or we were tired from our 4 mile walk, as I forgot to take any photos!

Visited for a light lunch. My wife had the fish finger flat bread, and I had the cheese melt steak flat bread. The children had chicken nuggets, chips, and beans. The quality of the food was very good and surprisingly so for the children's nuggets. They were whole chunks of chicken breast battered and fried and a decent amount of them as well. The steak was cooked exactly as I asked, medium rare, and a decent cut of meat. The portions served was about the right size for a light lunch. The staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Great family friendly local pub with a friendly welcoming team, very good selection of beers, wines and cocktails. Tasty food with traditional pub classics, great choice on kids menu and delicious desserts with very generous portions on their Sunday menu.

Very nice little quiet pub/restauraunt. Nice and close to the station, friendly staff, good quick service and truly amazing food. Good selection of Vegan and Veggie options (including desserts) and I couldn't recommend the 'Bombay Burger' enough! You'd genuinely not expect to find such amazing food in what looks like a seemingly run-of-the-mill local pub from the outside.

Had a lovely lunch here! The food was really delicious! It was so lovely to be looking out on to the lock!! We were served by a new server on her first day and she was absolutely charming!! The other staff were really friendly too!! Will definitely come back here again. It must be lovely in the summer!

Called in here whilst visiting friends, we now live in Lincoln. Great place and dog friendly. Weather not too bad, for a change, and sat outside on the astro turf overlooking the river. I used to live near here and know the brave hearted swim, jumping from the bridge 😲. Greatly entertaining, I am sure but no one performing today😧. Barry and I both had a delicious ham, tomato, pickle sandwich in great brown bread coupled with a generous portion of chips. Reasonably priced with a glass of wine and pint of beer. Lovely in Winter with a wood burning stove in bar. No problem with parking. Would definitely return.

Not been here until today but popped in for lunch after a walk. It was so busy but staff were friendly and welcoming and found us a table. Although they were very busy the whole time we were there, service was excellent as was the food. Lovely place will definitely visit again

First time here was the 20/09/24. For a wake after a service. Large car park, two large rooms leading to outside seating. Bar access through one double door. Staff very polite and quick service, food for the party was spot on. Finger buffet , complete with chicken drumsticks and tea and coffee on tap. Very clean and airy. Will definitely call again.

Our favourite neighbourhood cafe serving traditional English breakfast and brunch menus. Nothing fancy, but I can say their burgers, chips and spaghetti are unbeatable. Weekly visit is a must! Staff is extremely attentive and cheerful. A great pleasure to recommend.

Always welcoming. The best food at a great price. Best milkshakes and in town! As trying to eat healthier, they were more than happy to change a meal up for me, replacing chips with salad. Very tasty. Their jacket potatoes are great too. Happy to do food to takeaway as well.

Lovely place with very friendly service! Exactly what you’d expect from a traditional English cafe and very good menu choice (including build your own breakfast). Food was hot and delicious! And the best part is they have a mr whippy machine so you can have an ice cream for dessert! Prices were on the higher side but still reasonable.

Had a veggie breakfast with the wife before our weekly shop earlier. It is located opposite Paddock Wood train station and its the perfect go-to before or after shopping. We'd heard great things about The Village Cafe from our neighbours so we thought it is on the way to the supermarket and we hadn't had breakfast. Have to say the welcome was warm and friendly, the breakfasts we had were top draw perfect and coffee was just fantastic. Excellent value for money, massive portions, excellent fast speedy service, nothing too much trouble for the staff and again the coffee was out of this world. Veggies and vegans like me catered for also. One of the nicest all-day breakfasts we've had and they even do a delicious bubble and squeak something you don't find often on many menus these days. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Paddock Wood and your hungry. We'll definitely be visiting again when we do our next Saturday shop at the local Waitrose. I recon this could be a regular trip. It's got to be a wicked 1000/1000 rating from me as i said top draw delicious dining, fantastic value for money, awsome friendly staff, awesome coffee. Wish I'd taken some pics. I will do next time i visit, thanks guys it was a real pleasure to dine with you.

Great little local Costa. I Was treated to a fudge brownie frappe from my daughter for Father’s Day. Staff are friendly and welcoming, plenty of seating inside including sofas and a few tables to sit at outside.

Outstanding. My first time here with the family today and we loved it. The carvery was absolutely delicious! A lovely selection of meats with all the trimmings! Top quality. The service was on point too. Such a friendly place and look forward to coming here again and again!

Called in on a Monday tea time, I'd had a mare of a day on the M25 (usual I know !! ) and need a bit of tea before heading back to Lincolnshire but didn't want a Mac D or fast food so popped in here. Was met by a nice freindly member of staff who showed me straight to a table, lovely and warm in the pub, I ordered Gammon with 2 fried eggs, I didn't have to wait long, the gammon and eggs were cooked to perfection, the food was piping hot, and clearly had not been sat under a hot lamp at all. It's definitely worth a visit, lovely staff, thank you. The car park could definitely do with a tidy up, but certainly don't let that put you off.

We are here having a Sunday roast lunch, the place looks very clean, staffs are very helpful and cheerful. Tasty meats carvery and variety vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, cheese cauliflower and gravy. The good thing is the vegetables, roast potatoes and gravy are allow to top up, but not the meats that you can only go for one. That is enough for the whole day. I definitely will come back as price is very reasonable and good value for this economy. I recommend this place to other people. 👍👍

We haven't been here for some time but booked a table today as we were celebrating. What fantastic service as always the carvery was just so so wonderful . The meats were just right and so where the veg and the roasts wish I had more . We would really like to say a Big Thank You to the kitchen staff who always give us all a fantastic meal . What a great team . All the staff are amazing . Thank you for a great time . See you soon sorry forgot to take a picture of the carvery.
