A group of 10 of us came for Sunday lunch after a walk in the forest. We all went for the roast dinner which were all very good and a decent portion with a fair price. Kids portions were great and the yorkshires are massive. Pub deserves to be a lot busier than it is with the friendly staff good food and great walks on the door step.

After a long journey down for a weekend away with the kids we popped in for a spare of the moment booking. Very accommodating and booked us in before we arrived 15minutes later!

We were greeted and shown our table and were made to feel very welcome.

We had the Sunday roast beef which was outstanding. As a Sunday roast pro this ranks there in the top 3 I've had. The beef was like butter and the gravy was delicious... would happily sit and dunk potatoes and bread into the gravy all night long.

We booked for Sunday lunch in the dog friendly section. The service was excellent. Drinks orders were taken and delivered quickly.
I had a beef dinner, my wife chicken. The food was hot, tasty and plentiful. I'm a fussy so and so at times but this was the best pub Sunday lunch I've had and I have travelled the length and breadth of the country.
Well worth a visit!!!!!!!!
