Upon arriving at Washingpool Farm Shop & Cafe, I was greeted by the serene and picturesque setting. The farm shop and cafe are located on a working farm, surrounded by rolling fields and stunning countryside views, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The rustic and cozy interior of the cafe added to the overall charm of the place. The farm shop at Washingpool offers a wide variety of fresh produce, meats, dairy products, and other locally sourced goodies. It was a joy to browse through the shelves filled with fresh vegetables, fruits, homemade preserves, and artisanal cheeses. The quality and freshness of the products were evident, and I appreciated the emphasis on supporting local farmers and producers. The cafe at Washingpool was equally delightful. Beautiful Spot! We sat on the terrace with our coffees and enjoyed the sunshine and the views! Staff were lovely, menu is a little pricey, well very pricey. We had a pot of tea for two, and we each had cake with clotted cream on the side, it cost over £17! I will say however, the cake portions were humongous! I've never been served a slice of cake that big in my life before! And it was very very delicious! The farm shop is beautiful, a gorgeous display of fruit and vegetables and a great selection of local produce. I very much recommend a visit!

Excellent find!…came across this farm shop by chance…well stocked with lots of fresh local produce and wide range of chilled food items. Helpful staff who go above and beyond. Full covid19 precautions are in place (masks required upon entering). Cafe adjacent to the farm shop offers a reasonable menu including all the usual favourites such as cream tea. Coffee tasted good and the Dorset Apple Cake was first class. Play area for children and stunning uninterrupted views across Dorset. Family run business which shows. Ample parking and full disability access. Outside portaloo only available at this time which would not be accessible for disabled customers. Highly recommend. Will visit again. 😀

Stayed nearby. Amazing place so much more than a farm shop, deli has an extensive range of chutneys, spices, jams, rice wine, vinegars, etc. Meat is from their own farm as is most of the veg. The fruit selection is very good and of a high standard. The curries from the freezer are superb. We had lunch today, ham, egg and chips and a cheese and spinach soufflé. Both lovely. We'll stop for breakfast another day. Here we are again, July 24. Been many times since last review. Cafe is still as good and the shop still the best farm shop we know.

This is the second time we have visited while on holiday the first last year. Very reasonable priced on meals they serve and very good food, the service is very good and staff very friendly. A place to go when you have your four legged friend with you. Try The Trawlermens Platter you will not be disappointed.

I came to Bridport to meet friends who lived not too far from here to have a catch up and a meal. The pub itself is decorated with lots of bits and pieces of memorabilia, a lot of it related to sports, and has a cosy feeling inside. We had fish and chips for lunch, pleasantly surprised with the size of the fish, which tasted good too, and the chips were nice and fluffy on the inside but crispy on the outside. Mushy peas were pretty good too. All in all it was a really good portion size. Good selection of drinks on offer, I had the Dorset Gold cider which was a nice change from lager which I normally drink.

From the moment we walked in with our two small dogs I had high expectations. There is a great ambiance here, and the decor is great, fresh flowers in the ladies loo is an extra nice touch. For lunch I had local mussels, absolutely delicious and hubby had faggots which he thoroughly enjoyed. Looking at their flyer they have a lot going on from live music to quiz nights and a book club and even more. I wish this pub was in my village but we will be back to visit again before long.

It's always a pleasure.... shame they don't serve food all day as I'm sure they could continue filling the seats but I fully understand people need time off! Great atmosphere and lots of local memorabilia

This place is a little Gem! Great food, good prices and great choice of different beers. Always very friendly staff and feels like you've walked in a pub from 20 years ago very authentic feel. And they have some awesome fish tanks.

Visited while on holiday. The food was faultless and full of flavour. Great portions! We chose to have the prawn cocktail starter instead of a main as we liked the look of the syrup sponge and we were quite surprised when it came and it was the size of a main anyway. The pie was humongous and came with carrots, peas, green beans, cabbage and broccoli!!! The staff were also very polite and attentive. Great pub, highly recommended. Oh and also real onion rings, mmmmmm

Popped in off the street for a coue of Pork Sunday dinners. Table service available and a really good sun trap of an outside eating area. Food was very nice indeed everything was very tasty and well cooked and presented. Especially loved the pureed butternut Squash.

I liked this hotel but it is not for anyone who is noise sensitive. The rooms look like on the website but the single rooms are super small. I heard every door, every step above and everyone in the beer garden. And because of that this would have been a 3 star review if not for the excellent breakfast which I loooooved. There is a small buffet of yoghurt, granola and juices and then you order from a menu. My soft scramble was so good, I still think about it. I also had the Sunday Roast which was also good.

Beautiful hotel, lovely cool courtyard with plenty of iced water on tap. Really lovely, helpful staff. We stayed for a couple of nights as part of a large wedding party and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. Nothing was too much bother for them and all our party thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Bull, despite the intense heat! We will be returning I'm sure.

The room was modern, clean, comfortable with some amazing amenities. The breakfast was fantastic. My only complaint would be all the banging around at 5am when the staff started work. I never got back to sleep after that rude awakening.

Two fry ups with. Couple of extras and coffee. Reasonably priced, meat quality is very good! Bread was very fresh! Friend had some baked goods off the counter said they were fresh and good! Staff were pleasant, everywhere was clean and tidy but heads up no toilets. Public ones in short distance!

A wonderful lunch, we all decide to have the daily specials. All were delicious, great value for money and we had three dogs with us and the staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. They bring you complimentary biscuits for the dogs.

We arrived at 11.20, just in time to order breakfast. We were lucky to get the table on the edge of the 'tent' overlooking the beach. Despite being quite busy we received very efficient service. The food arrived within 15- 20 min, then our hot drinks. We had 3 x full English and egg Benedict on muffin with bacon. Everyone enjoyed it. The only nuisance were a few wasps but not a lot to spoil our experience.

Came here today, after walking from our campsite at Graston Copse through Burton Bradstock village. A warm welcome by a member of staff & shown to our outside table for 4 with 3 dogs. Our waitress took our drinks order & returned after a few minutes to take our food order. She was very friendly and attentive, giving time for a chat despite being extremely busy. Wait for our food was minimal and when it arrived it was hot, tasty & well presented. Back ground music was pleasant, giving the Mediterranean feeling due to the sunshine. Wouldn't hesitate in returning if we are in the area again .... thank you.

Camping at Freshwater holiday park, a 20 minute walk to visit this gem of a place. Busy and bustling restaurant, great menu, food was outstanding and the service was great too. Dog friendly aswell, all in all, will definitely be returning soon.

This is a well loved beach cafe which has beautiful scenic views, it is very popular and rightly so. The menu is mainly fish and seafood dishes. However, they do a smashing full English breakfast up to 11.30 am. I will post pics. This dog friendly beach cafe has a carpark close by, but if you choose to walk along the cliff top path or the lower paths, you will walk within the most beautiful scenery. This is a totally table service venue, so once you are seated, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. Prices are reasonable.

Huge muscles in a nicely balanced blue cheese cream sauce. The fish chowder was also lovely, great tasting fish and fresh veg. We enjoyed on a wet and windy day, outside seating had heaters which warmed us up nicely. Would recommend after a walk.

We were served by Ruby- absolutely amazing service and wonderful food! Catered to non-standard allergens with kindness and respect! We had the confit tomatoes with feta and the autumn salad, would recommend both for anyone visiting. We didn’t get the chance to try the pear frangipane, which we would love to visit to try again.

4.2 is very harsh for the amazing food we ate! Keep cooking like this and you won’t be that for long! Went in Costa first and it was so cold and lacking in atmosphere that we turned around and left, and walked up to Coffee #1 instead, and how glad I am that we did! Amazing atmosphere, wonderfully funny & welcoming staff, and the coffee’s delicious and very reasonably priced. Plenty of space and comfy chairs, dogs welcome, really lovely, we’ll be back!

Lovely iced coffee and coffee. Server was really friendly however the lady preparing the drinks seemed quiet harassed and not very friendly when asked if there was any straws and answered very stressful "we don't have any straws" no means of an apology or explanation. Found it quiet blunt and rude. Shame as the ambience was so lovely but would consider whether to return or not.

I enjoy visits to Coffee#1. Had a pot of tea this time and a flapjack. It was quite small and not worth £2.65. I know costs are high, but this was not value for money. It's a good place with a variety of seats and tables.

Best coffee i've had in Coffee#1 just now. Hot, thick frothy milk and she even cleansed my reusable cup for me! its a f4 star however, as there are very few sockets - almost as bad as the Costa here🙄
