We were staying next door and Coach House immediately felt like an extension of our cottage! Very friendly husband and wife team, great Greek influenced food (my chicken salad was fantastic), family friendly. Also good breakfast options, we had coffee and cake and just regret not being able to try more options!

The Coach House in New Romney has consistently exceeded our expectations, earning the title of the best dining spot in town by a long shot! From farm-fresh produce to succulent meats, each bite is a testament to the Freds commitment to excellence. It's disheartening to see recent reviews that fail to recognize the value of this small, local gem. These criticisms seem unjustified and out of touch with the realities of running a business like The Coach House. Perhaps these individuals would be better suited to the food and environment offered in a less classy establishment, but for those who appreciate genuine culinary craftsmanship, The Coach House is a true find. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Fred and Hazel for their tireless dedication to delivering exceptional food. Their commitment to quality and passion for food shines through in every dish, making The Coach House a must-visit destination for anyone with an appreciation for fine cuisine. Full marks for our lunch today at The Coach House, celebrating a friend's birthday. We were a mixed group of diners, including two vegans and a vegetarian, and although this isn't a dedicated veggie menu, we each found a delicious and well-cooked choice from the pitta menu - two falafel and one halloumi, both served with salad and incredibly tasty seasoned chips. Our server was very attentive, and the chef came out personally to check that we were all happy and that the food was good. Very reasonably priced, and a decent drinks list. Thank you Coach House, we will be back soon! 🙂

My partner and I ate here as we wanted to grab a bit to eat whilst enjoying the sun and we were both stunned by the food. The chef has got his flavours absolutely nailed, everything tasted amazing and the dishes were the type that you’d expect at a high end restaurant. This being said, the prices were still very affordable and the portion sizes are generous - so much so that I walked in quite hungry and still couldn’t finish my plate. The only criticism I have is that we waited upwards of 20 minutes for our food, but I’m more than happy to look past this as it was very busy, the food was well worth the wait, and the staff were attentive and checked on us regularly. If you’re Kent based and haven’t checked this hidden gem out, please do!

I little noisy, to be expected from a busy place but the breakfast was very nice. Everything cooked well and arrived at our table quickly. The service from the waitresses was superb too.

Our annual visit to the Cinque Ports collided with a fantastic summer festival which included an upcoming band and our new favourites: mixed emotions! Incredible turn out for a really talented band. I can tell you now, this band will never forget this pub! Even when they’re performing at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds!

Great pub, great staff, great food and great punters! Spent three days in New Romney recently and the Cinque quickly became our go to pub. Talk about a warm, welcoming pub! Simply cannot fault the place. Don't miss out on their rustic chips either (much better than French fries). Cheapest pub in the hight street too! Cannot recommend this pub highly enough. Fantastic experience. Went in for a beer and a small plate but wish we would have gotten a full meal. The appetizers were very good and the atmosphere is really nice. Next time I stop through town I plan on going back to try more!

What a great pub! Actually a restaurant perched on the edge of the English channel. They make their own beer and it's proper beer!! Little train comes past sometimes; just adorable and well worth a visit 👍

Well what can I say but a fantastic place to visit and eat at. Found a table easily even though the car park was busy they had plenty of seating options. staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was incredible you could taste how fresh the seafood was and the portions to price were brilliant.

Lovely atmosphere to have our pre Christmas gathering! Fantastic good quality food served by friendly and professional staff members. White Bait and Camembert starters came with healthy salad were delicious. Not only were the cod, haddock, skate fresh and scrumptious, so were the ham egg as well as the kids SpagBol meal!! Our Cockapoo enjoyed herself toooo 😅

Fantastic fish and chips. Really good batter and huge piece of cod. Had a bottle of tartare sauce on the table, which is my favourite with fish. Much better than most restaurants who give you a tiny thimble of sauce. Would definitely return.

Amazing Family Dinner here tonight. Highly recommend the balance platter. Meat was so flavourful and tender. Everything was cooked to perfection. Served so quickly. Service was great too. Amazing!! Thank you.

Really great to see such a lively bar doing so well in New Romney and for a good cause. Staff were great, food was good and atmosphere was just right. Can't wait to go again and get involved with the menu some more. And....dog friendly that goes a long way with us . Thanks Balance Bar

After waiting a long time to find a dentist to register with, I was accepted at Oradent Lydd. I am very happy with the service I have received so far. From the helpful reception staff to the wonderful dentist and dental nurse, my experience has been amazing. The dentist explains procedures with patience and in a very professional way. I usually feel quite anxious and nervous going to the dentist but he reassured me and put me at ease immediately. I am so thankful for bright a patient at this fantastic dental practice. I'm not the best person as regards dentist , in fact I 'd rather run the other way , however these dentist at Oradent dental care , where understanding of my fear and made me feel safe and calm , in fact looking forward to my next appointment , now that is a surprise in its self , can't wait to smile with confidence again .

Excellent service and care - My molar broke in half on Christmas Eve and got amazining help and treatment to repair it that same day - Dentist, Dental Asistant and Receptionist were all amazing and went above and beyond to help me 😇🥰

What a lovely, family owned Greek restaurant. From the outside it looks much smaller, but inside the restaurant, they have a lot of space. The food is fresh and homemade and it tastes really good. Once your in, you will also be entertained by , I believe, 3 generations of ladies, grandchild, mother and grandma, which definitly adds to the fun night we had. Whenever we are back in this area, we'll be back! Thank you very much!!

A real gem. Open also evening. The owner and her daughters are lovely people. From Cyprus with love and simplicity. Fantastic the greek yogurt with honey and nuts. Perfect for an afternoon tea after a long walk on the beach! The owner shared a bit of the restaurant history. Worth a visit. We visited twice in a day! The fish is from the local dungeness fishermen! Very fresh. We have to come back! ⛱️

Good old fashioned honest pub serving simple food done very well. Had a Sunday lunch of slow roast leg of lamb and trimmings - absolute massive piece of extremely tasty lamb and lots of nice veg: roast pots, cauliflower, broccoli & carrots. Yorkshire and gravy too. Very reasonably priced. Recommended. Edit: went again at the start of November. Still excellent!

Found this pub through Google maps, whilst staying in the area. Friendly welcome on arrival. Food was really good, properly homemade food! Husband had Steak and stilton pie, and I chose stuffed Pork Belly, both meals with potatoes and seasonal veg and excellent gravy. Very reasonable prices. Also good honeycomb cheesecake and I had coffee. Highly recommend. Proper pub, proper food (real pastry pie with top and bottom homemade pastry, not just casserole with pastry lid) proper nice change!

Family of eight had Sunday dinner here today and what a find 😍 Ladies were so friendly & helpful & everyone had a wonderful home cooked meal. Couldn’t manage one of their desserts sadly after lunch as it was such a generous meal. Great roast potatoes & vegetables cooked to perfection - would highly recommend.

Dinner with my Dad, we both had the steak and Ale pie and it was the best pie we had ever had!! Massive pie absolutely crammed with melt in the mouth steak. The chips were delicious too. Staff were all lovely and so friendly. Definitely will be back x
