Andy and Pete, with Nick and Graham, carried out our loft conversion this year and we are so happy with their work. What we liked best was their time-keeping (they ran exactly to schedule) and costing (they ran exactly to quote, except for some extras that we requested). As important was their pleasantness in working with. They are very courteous, great communication, and any problems were listened to carefully and a sensible solution found. Our project was quite large (dormer L-shape loft conversion, complete reroof, chimney repoint, 2 new bathrooms and fitted cupboards and wardrobes). Their workmanship is of a very high standard and we strongly recommend them.

Updating my review following a second job completed by Pete and Andy - excellent job again, and can thoroughly recommend - the work that they do is of the highest quality, but they are also very good post-completion at coming back for any snagging - have always felt everything is well communicated and have stuck to quoted prices. No hesitation in recommending and would certainly use them again.

A few friends of ours recommended Bassett Carpentry for our kitchen extension. We couldn’t be happier with the work and would recommend them to anyone else. Our extension was not straight forward but Andy & Pete were so easy to deal with. They were honest and upfront with costs, and kept to the agreed price plans. Their team who completed the electrics and plumbing were also superb. We were very nervous as this was our first project, but Bassett Carpentry exceeded all expectations and did the perfect job. I'm so pleased with these room dividers—they’re exactly what I wanted! The quality is superb, with careful attention to detail. BM carpentry and building carried out our loft conversion and we really couldn’t be happier. The entire project - from initial conversations - until the final completion was so professional and the end result is perfect. Brett communicated clearly with us at each step and was very patient when explaining what needed to be done at each stage and what we should expect. We felt Brett really cared about our views and whether we were happy and he was fully committed to completing in the time frame he had laid out for us. BM Carpentry and Building recently reconstructed our kitchen, dining room and hallway into a modern spacious kitchen diner, including replacing double glazed rear door and two windows. We are very pleased with the finished spacious room. BM Carpentry and Building employed supporting specialist tradesmen who were also very professional. Brett built a bespoke pottery studio for us and we are really pleased. It was a slightly awkward space but he understood what we wanted and gave us the best design and quote. I recently enquired about having 3 internal doors altered in my house after having new carpets fitted etc… Alister was very quick to respond and booked us in as soon as he could. Brilliant work absolutely love it. I had a flood and was panicking with my new build ground floor stripped out. Andy was very good and gave my family back a beautiful home within weeks. Shakesphere fit all my internal doors downstairs all akirting and completed door frames and completely transformed my home with oak steps. Great golf course, dry and in good condition even in winter. Only negatives are the proximity of the road and the need to cross it twice. Clubhouse bar has some great beers and the carvery lunch is very good.

We played the course today, and what a treat it was. I work as a maintenance contractor for many prestigious Surrey golf courses and I have played some of the best courses in the UK. I just played Formby last week. I have to say the condition of the course was better than any higher ranking courses in the area. I was absolutely blown away by how true and firm the greens were. The fairways, tees and aprons. 5 * condition. The course manager and his team have a clear passion for what they do. Absolute class. Esp for the time of year and the amount of rain we have had recently. Even the heather was better maintained than neighbouring courses. The new holes and layout have been so well executed you would never know which ones they are, but they have made the course so much better. The rye grass walk ways are a thing of beauty as well. Nothing is wanting here. I’m not sure why the course hasn't got a higher ranking in the top 100?

I haven’t played all of them obviously, but I would say that this is one of the best courses I’ve experienced in England. Stunning greens and fairways like carpets, the course is well maintained by a team who know what good looks like and are passionate about golf. A real treat.

Superb course, played it Jan 19th in 4 degree weather. Played of the whites and it’s a serious test of golf. Some very challenging long par fours but some very gettable par 5s. Great par 3s except perhaps 17 which does let the rest of them down slightly. Course was in great condition given rain and frost, can only imagine in peak times it would be utterly amazing. Would love to come back

Lewis advised and replaced the bannisters on our stairs. He did a great job and was polite and courteous. I will be using his services again…. And I did, this time to replace all our internal doors with oak ones. Craig and Garath did an amazing job; they were really friendly and polite and left no mess.

The experience from start to finish has been fantastic! I was given a really reasonable quote, and though additional costs were added (due to extra work which needed to be carried out) these were also really reasonably priced and I was kept well informed about it before the work was carried out. I'd also discovered what can only be described as a nightmare of hidden pipework under the old larder (before work was due to be carried out), and though my own worries about this caused delays with the work starting, Lewis was really supportive in addressing this and was really quick to respond to all of my concerns. Garath fitted my new cabinets, moved my extractor fan/boxing, replaced my windowsill and also worked on a few extra areas in the kitchen and I'm honestly impressed with how good it all looks! All his work has been topnotch and throughout the process he was always polite and took the trouble to answer any questions I had. Work was also finished really quickly which was a bonus! My thanks to you both - can't recommend highly enough!

So pleased I made a call to ‘Little Island carpentry’ last year. I hadn’t even looked at the website but I liked the company name….good enough reason! We soon found out that Ross is extremely personable and his work is immaculate. He takes such pride in doing things well and our hall cupboard looked really smart & tidy after he had installed shelving and built housing around the electric meter & fuse box. Recently he went above and beyond when asked to install new kitchen cupboard doors for us….We thought the carcasses would be ok as the apartment is fairly new. However it turned out they were all out of alignment due to initial poor installation. Many others may have covered this up…but not Ross…thankfully! He set to making everything right before fixing the new doors and now we have a brand new kitchen - it’s perfect in every way. Ross never complains and always looks for solutions. His knowledge and commitment to his work is outstanding He is also a genuinely nice person and I cannot recommend him highly enough - you won’t be disappointed.

Ross and Jack built our home ground floor timber frame extension measuring 10m x 8m. They were excellent from start to finish, communication and advice were given throughout and they are returning in October to fit the kitchen. We would recommend them without any reservation.

Miguel came recommended by several other companies who wouldn’t deal with flat roofs - He gave me options for repair work, talked through all aspects of the build and took photos to explain both before and after. Replaced old felt with new rubber compound material, membrane, insulation and proper ventilation. Very polite and professional team, always on time and tidy. Even replaced afew tiles on front of house that he had seen were missing. Excellent job. Highly recommend.

Miguel and his team worked flat out because of impending bad weather. I am so pleased with this membrane roof covering, 56sq. m., so much better than the original felt covering which lifts with resultant leaks over time. This job has a 20 year guarantee and all done at a very reasonable price. Clearing up unwanted waste, timber and debris was exemplary MHT is fully recommended for flat roof replacement and repair.
