I came here a couple days ago as a couple friends were eating it quite highly. Upon arriving, I say another mate there with his family. . So they clearly must be doing something right! The menu was đŸ”„ Customer service was đŸ‘ŒđŸœ The food was đŸ«¶đŸœ The meat in the burger was juicy in every bite. The chips and wings were done properly too and full of flavours. I came in the evening too so there was no issues with parking. If you haven’t tried this place then what are you waiting for?!

It's nice cosy spot, it's the little things for me, the unlimited selection of sauces, the gloves and the lemon refreshers. - **Ambiance (8/10):** The atmosphere is busy yet casual with modern, warm decor. However, seating is limited, so expect a long wait for a table. - **Service (7/10):** The staff are friendly and attentive, but service can be slow during peak hours due to understaffing. - **Food (8/10):** The burgers are the highlight, with juicy patties and customizable toppings. However, while the fries are crispy, they could benefit from better seasoning. - **Value (8/10):** Prices are slightly high considering the portion sizes, though the quality of the burgers makes it a reasonable choice. - **Overall (8/10):** It's a satisfying spot for a good burger, but long wait times and some service inefficiencies need to be addressed. With minor improvements, Smoke and Pepper could become a leading burger destination.

This place was recommended by a friend as being a very good spot for burgers and wings. I opted to get the Spice up burger which is essentially a spicy smashed burger. It had a little kick but nothing extreme. I enjoyed it and do recommend it. I also got the Algerian wings. Now, if you like the popular Algerian sauce then you are in for a treat. These wings are a must. They are drenched in the sauce but not soggy at all as I believe they are first deep fried and then sauced up. You get a satisfying crunch and the flavour of sauce with the chicken. I also got the Korean loaded fries. Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. The flavours weren't there and the slaw is also underwhelming. The chips are below par as well. I would recommend trying the other loaded fries on the menu instead. The atmosphere is quite bustling on a Friday night. Seating is roughly for 30 people as the place is quite small. You go up and place your order and get a receipt which includes your order number. Once your order is ready they call out your order number and bring it over to where you are sitting. You can ask for gloves so your hands to get messy. The ordering is a bit chaotic when it's busy but it seems to work. It's a shame that you can't book a table so you are left waiting to get one. The staff are friendly enough and the food did take a little while to come out but I guess that's to be expected on a Friday night. Overall happy and would recommend.

Chance upon this small but cozy cafe. Very impressed with the wide range of chicken, chicken wings and burgers, not to mention the variety of sauce. Friendly and efficient services. Will sure come back for the yummy chicken wings and try their famous burgers.

First-time visit with my friend. We had a couple of pints. I got curious about their food, so we ordered curried cauliflower soup and venison stew. The soup was quite nice, creamy, thick, and flavorful. However, the stew was served straight from the microwave. The meat and dumpling were dry, the stew juice was watery, and the plate was messy. So I went to the bar with the plate and told them it wasn't worth ÂŁ21, and they refunded me despite my willingness to pay for it because we had eaten some off the plate. Therefore, the service there is brilliant! Nice refurbished premises, surely I will give it another go!

Went here for lunch during a weekday, not many patrons around which suited me just fine. Ordered the Vegan Fish and Chips, which was the tastiest vegan fish and chips I've ever had. The barman was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be visiting again!

Fabulous pub! I'm so glad this has opened. I never came to it before it closed, so have nothing to compare it to, but they've really done a fantastic job with the renovations. It has a few different seating areas depending on if you're a big group for drinks or wanting to sit in a proper dining room for food, and depending on the vibe you're feeling - more intimate cosy snugs areas as well as big group tables. We came for food and had the chicken burger, beef burger and the mac and cheese. Rarely am I satisfied with mac and cheese, but it was really great and I would order it again. Can't wait for the expanded menu to come and we'll be back to sample it all. I'm so happy this has opened. We will be coming back over and over!

Second visit to Anatolia this week. Went in for breakfast today. We were 4. Ordered 3 breakfast platters for ÂŁ13 each. Taste was great and quantity was ample. I’d say a platter is good for 2 and one can’t finish it alone. A couple nights ago we went there for dinner (5 folks). Ordered platter #3 for ÂŁ90. Forgot to take a picture because we were super hungry and jumped right to it. Comes with 3 cold starters, lamb chops, lamb ribs, lamb shish, döner, lamb köfte/kebab/Adana kebab (whatever you want to call it), lots of rice and a bunch chicken. As expected of a Turkish establishment the lamb was good to perfection. Succulent and scrumptious. The flavour just bursts in your mouth with each bite. Couldn’t finish the whole thing, boxed it up and took it home. The staff on both occasions were very welcoming. Always smiling, accommodating and hospitable. Should’ve taken their names.

We had dinner and tried a few drinks from the new cocktail menu—they were absolutely delicious. The mixed platter for two was fantastic; the meat was simply cooked but packed with incredible flavor. We also enjoyed the homemade tzatziki, Caesar salad, and one of their signature soups, which was outstanding. The service was excellent, full of smiles and warmth. Highly recommended, especially for parties, as they have a spacious room downstairs!

Visited Sahara Grill today in Leyton with my kids and family, and we have had such a great experience and a warm welcome from the restaurant management. Firstly, we booked our table via phone. We spoke to Ridwan who was very polite and warm on the phone and he has got excellent phone manners and booked our table instantly. Once we were there, we were welcomed by the restaurant manager as we entered and he asked about our reservations and once confirmed, he ushered us to our table. Then we ordered the food and the food was brought to our table swiftly and presented in a nice way. The waiter brother was very courteous and very friendly and treated us with respect. We tried Dirty Chips, Whole Grilled Chicken and Buffalo Wings and all were amazing especially the Dirty Chips. We ordered it twice. The food was a bit spicy but very nice. Overall, worth a visit and highly recommended.

I booked a table for 5 people, the person taking the call was very competent and professional. When going to the restaurant staff were very welcoming and friendly. We ordered a plain burger meal, Sahara chicken platter and sautĂ© platter. We were looked after by a gentleman named Ridwan who’s very accommodating and friendly. He heard at our table the burger was spicy he immediately came over to our table and asked how we found our food and ordered a Cajun burger. I was very impressed with the level of service received from Ridwan. He made us feel comfortable. Overall experience of Sahara grill, family orientated, good service and comforting food. If you’re taking your family, your partner or a group I would highly recommend.

Popped in here for a pint and really liked this place. Stripped back dark wood floors, comfy sofas (with matching ceiling!), pool table, conservatory, and lovely outdoor seating area. Early evening at the time of my visit, so fairly quiet. Very friendly staff. Would definitely return to try the food next time.

A group of 16 of us enjoyed an authentic Somali dining experience on 31 Dec 24. The setting was simple, but the focus was on fast service and incredible food. Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulder: The slow-cooked lamb shoulder was the highlight of the meal. The meat was unbelievably tender, falling off the bone with ease. Each bite was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, leaving us savoring every mouthful. It was a dish that truly stood out and exceeded all expectations. Rice Full of Flavor The rice was fragrant and packed with flavor. Every grain was cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully, pairing wonderfully with the tender lamb. It was a simple yet unforgettable combination that left everyone fully satisfied. Although the marinated chicken steak wasn’t available, the lamb and rice were more than enough to make this meal a standout experience. The service was quick, and the food delivered on its promise of authentic, bold flavors. For anyone looking to try Somali cuisine, this place is highly recommended.

Went to this gem of a restaurant today and it was AMAZING! Brother Abdul-gadir was very welcoming and although the rice was finished he managed to accommodate us and brought us rice ! The food was served hot and the portion was very good, it easily fed us ( 2 very hungry males ) We ordered the 2-3 persons meal, the lamb was very tender and juicy as was the chicken. I really liked the hot sauce as well - be careful tho its quite hot. Definitely coming back again.

A great pub for Craft Beer and Real Ale which is a few minutes walk from both Leyton underground station and Leyton Midland Station. I counted 24 Keg taps and 10 cask taps, and when we visited there were 7 different cask beers and 16 different keg beers offering a variety of styles and breweries. They also have a decent range of AF beers in the fridge. We've also had the Sunday roast twice now, and both times was very tasty, especially the rosemary and garlic roast potatoes. It's also worth noting that the Gravity Well brewery tap room is only a few minutes walk away (who are probably producing some of the best hazy IPAs at the moment), so it's worth the trip over to visit both.

Been going to The Coach & Horses regularly of late and for good reason, it's a proper Free house pub. The beer selection is vast with many cask and keg options which is carefully cultivated to give many brewery and style of beer to choose. Venue is big with lots of seating and screens for sports very comfortable. People make places and the staff here are a good bunch who are friendly and knowledgeable. Probably the best pub in Leyton.
