Buzzing authentic Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Kingston. We had a short wait on a busy Saturday but seated in no time. Restaurant is deceptively large with an upstairs too. Friendly staff and great tasting food. We had lamb doner, meze and the breakfast. Everyone was very happy with their choices. Great option for the family.

A lovely evening for a birthday meal. The frose cocktail was very refreshing. Great value for money with the sharing feast as a main. Our server Alan had speedy service and Bree had excellent customer service. I was even give a free slice of delicious carrot cake with a candle. Thanks to all the team for a wonderful Sunday evening dinner. Would recommend and would return :))))

This place came highly recommended by my girlfriend, who visited with her friends a few days ago and couldn’t stop raving about it. Naturally, I had to check it out! I went in the evening after a long day at work and treated myself to a smoothie and cookie dough. Both were absolutely mouthwatering and delicious sweet enough to remind me of my girlfriend! A lovely lady named 'Madu' served me, and her kindness, warmth, and politeness made my visit even more enjoyable. I would definitely come back to Megan’s, not just for the amazing food and cozy ambiance but also for the exceptional hospitality. Highly recommended!

Very nice little cafe for a stop when walking along the Thames. Came for coffee and croissants and both were great quality. Super friendly service too. Will definitely come again!

A bright and pleasant place to stop for a coffee, with a wide variety of toasties and baguettes, as well as salads and soups. The large windows let in plenty of light and service was friendly and quick.

Lovely new cafe I came across this morning.I’m currently on a diet so I only had a flat white which was excellent .Will return to try out their savoury and sweet treats at a later date.

I haven't tried the food, will update when I do. I have done some open mic nights and a poetry night, a very good venue. Lovely staff and patrons.

Decided to take my son here after seeing a review on YouTube by Gary Eats. We had both decided that we wanted the beef rib but our server suggested the smoked combo which we decided against. We also ordered 2 sides of skinny fries and onion rings. The beef rib while tender was fairly bland and not much taste, the onion rings were good and plenty of them. I know this wasn't the restaurants fault but there was a guy sitting behind us who's every other word was the F word, not nice when the place is fairly empty and it was a friend of the server. Would I go back? Maybe if I was in the area.

Fantastic Dining Experience at The Grey Horse in Kingston We had the pleasure of dining at The Grey Horse in Kingston for my sister-in-law’s birthday, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, setting the tone for a wonderful evening. I ordered the pork belly, which was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My wife had the beef rib, which she thoroughly enjoyed, praising its rich flavor and perfectly cooked texture. Both dishes were beautifully presented and exceeded our expectations. Our waitress, Kerry, truly elevated the experience. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. A special mention for the thoughtful touch—she surprised our nephew with a complimentary ice cream, which absolutely made his night! Kerry’s kindness and attention to detail made us feel incredibly well taken care of. Overall, The Grey Horse is a gem, with fantastic food, a great atmosphere, and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be returning! Highly recommended.

Excellent food. Been wanting to try here for a while and it did not disappoint. The beef short rib po boy…! Great service from Maria too who explained the menu and how it all worked.

This was a great find, excellent food, very reasonably priced and fantastic cocktails. Had a frozen long Island ice tea, Cajun fries and a shrimp po boy with Louisiana hot sauce. The bread was soft, the shrimp was crispy, the hot sauce was delicious and the Cajun fries were excellent. It all came very quickly, cooked fresh and the service was friendly and jovial.

Absolutely brilliant experience, from food to service 🇺🇲 Poor Boys is a New Orleans-inspired restaurant in Kingston, nice and close to the town centre. There was a short wait, but if you're willing to sit outside, it's a breeze. The food was exceptional. We had the Dirty Boy with Fried Chicken and the Mac Boy with Fried Shrimp. The fries were seasoned nicely and the the chicken was tender with a brilliant batter. Shrimp was the same, the batter was crispy and seasoned. We tried the onion rings which were more of the same, excellent taste and crispy. We ALSO dug into the brisket twinkies, which had a strong taste and a crisp exterior. The cheese sauce was strong, definitely for cheese fans. There were two stand-outs for me. First was the service, which was amazing. The staff were friendly, extremely quick and very helpful. Second was the portion sizes. I have a huge appetite, and for what was a reasonable £30 per person, we were absolutely stuffed; even had enough for lunch the next day. I'm finding it hard not to rate this 5/5, so I did!

Welcoming and helpful staff who make you feel valued. Incredibly fast service. Great tasting food and drinks for a very reasonable low price. Cannot recommend this cafe enough for anyone in the area. Plus a 10% student discount for those it applies to. Overall just a wonderful atmosphere.

Nice cafe with good prices. I chose the Full English Breakfast which comprised of two fried eggs, two sausages, two rashers of bacon, two slices of toast with a serving of baked beans and added a can of lemonade to the order and the total price was only £9.00. There is a customer toilet which was in reasonable condition. The cafe seats around 30 people indoors and in the region of 16 outdoors. Had a nice lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. The food was very good. My daughter especially liked the meat skewers and the potatas bravas. I liked the prawns and fish croquettes. The calimares was tasty too. The bread and Olive oil was a hit. The bread was fresh, warm and great for mopping up the remanence of anything with a sauce. Service as polite, friendly and efficient. It was quiet when I went but the decor is fine and the seating was comfortable. Overall it’s pretty good value. But I do think £9 for padron peppers is unusually high. It’s a good place

My two daughters and I visited this lovely Tapas Bar last Friday evening and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the bar had a real buzz about it. We were served quickly and each of us had three tapas dishes, all delicious and more than enough. The cocktails to accompany them were also excellent. Definitely worth a visit and you won’t be disappointed.

We visited for a birthday meal and just loved this place with the lovely garden. Beautiful atmosphere ,every corner. Wonderful service from every member of the staff. Especially the owner lady went the extra mile for our birthday cake. Super friendly and welcoming. (Thank you for your genuine and warm-hearted hospitality!) Seafood paella, padron pepper, whitebait were delicious with generous portion. Definitely going back👍

Ginger Bees Café

We live just down the road from the Ginger Bees and have stopped a few times on our walk around the Promenade for a take away coffee. Today we decided to share a cone on the way home. The staff are friendly and the coffee is good. My biggest issue is the price vs the really small size take away coffee cups. The ice cream was a decent value for a double scoop but wasn’t anything spectacular. Definitely a fun place to visit when the weather is great to enjoy a tasty beverage and look out on the water.

In that sunny autumn afternoon, the atmosphere was 6-star. I didn't expect much from what looked like to me a refreshment kiosk but the food was surprisingly good, so was the espresso. My smashed avocado on sourdough looked artistic and tasted fresh with plenty of tomatoes. They forgot to fill the order of my coffee though perhaps because they were too busy. The queue never ended.
Rating: 5 / 5
I contacted Ginger Bees to enquire about a picnic for a boat trip and they went over and above to provide not only a delicious selection of goods but also beautifully presented! We had a vegan and a dairy/wheat/egg intolerance in the group and it was no stress for Gavin, Beth and their team. Delicious and highly recommend as a compliment to your trip along the river!

First time at MOJEN and popped in for a light dinner. Really delicious, good quality food. So well presented. We ordered a selection of sides and starters to find that perfect blend of a little of everything and the plates were emptied quickly! The decor is beautiful and the background music was really relaxing. Service perfect and staff very welcoming and attentive. It is right by the waterfront and we took a little post meal meander to enjoy that too! Would fully recommend!

Fabulous place to eat, service was very good, friendly and warm. Food was delicious so good the rice was so tasty and meats were cooked very well, we had starters and mains with drinks £50 each. The restaurant allowed us to take in a birthday cake and they added candles to this, they also sang, thank you for a lovely evening. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning.
