Food is fantastic I have been working as a builder, and it is usually hard to find some good food near my workplace, but this restaurant had the best food I ever tried. Very friendly stuff, everything is clean and they are happy to give some extras for free.

Capital Restaurant Edmonton
271 Fore St, London N9 0PD, UK | Turkish Restaurant P: 020 8803 2238
Rating: 4.2 (2933) Price Level:
It was my son's birthday that day, and we decided to take the opportunity to have breakfast at a place we had been recommended to visit. We’re a middle-class family just getting by, and we don’t often have the chance to spend time and money dining out. This made the day even more special for us.Our main focus was celebrating my son's birthday rather than the dining experience itself, so it wouldn’t have mattered much if we had chosen a different venue. However, the experience at this place turned out to be memorable in several ways. The first challenge was finding parking. The establishment doesn’t have its own parking lot, which I believe is a significant oversight for a venue of this size and reputation. Customers are left to find parking nearby, which can be frustrating. I eventually managed to park on the roadside, but it came with its own complications. I had to book and pay for two hours of parking, which cost about £6. The process of making the payment was cumbersome since it required a phone call to register and pay for the service. It took up unnecessary time and added stress to the start of our visit. While this isn’t directly the restaurant’s fault, having dedicated parking would have made the experience much smoother. Once we got the parking sorted and stepped inside, the first impression was positive. The place is spacious, with a large seating area, ample room for food preparation, and a bar. The table we were seated at was generously sized, allowing all five of us to sit comfortably without feeling cramped. When we looked at the menu, I found it to be on the pricey side, especially for a family like ours. I’ve never hesitated to acknowledge what I can and cannot afford, and while I felt the prices were high, we were willing to splurge a little for this special occasion. We ordered food for two kids and three adults. For the adults, we decided to share a Mediterranean/Turkish breakfast, while the kids had an omelette and egg with chips. One thing I particularly appreciated was that the tea was served in a pot rather than cups, which made the experience feel more traditional and enjoyable. The fresh pide bread that came with the breakfast was exceptional—it was so delicious that it could be eaten on its own without needing any accompaniments. The breakfast platter itself was rich in variety, offering plenty of choices. However, I’m torn on whether it was worth the price. On one hand, the variety and quality were good; on the other, it didn’t quite feel like it justified the cost. One standout recommendation was the fried eggplant, which we had been told to try before our visit. It marinated with unique spices that made it incredibly flavorful. I would highly recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have an aversion to eggplants. The restaurant offers a wide range of options, from breakfast to dinner, with an emphasis on Turkish cuisine. This variety makes it a versatile place to visit, whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast or a traditional Turkish dinner. While the food and service were enjoyable, the condition of the venue left much to be desired. The place seems quite old and worn out, with visible signs of wear and tear from the ceiling to the floors and walls. Even the toilets, despite their overly ornate decor, were clearly outdated and in need of refurbishment. A thorough redecoration and modernization could significantly improve the overall experience and help the establishment reach its full potential. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed our visit and wouldn’t hesitate to return, especially for a special occasion. While it wasn’t the most affordable option for us, the experience felt worthwhile. The food was satisfying, with unique highlights like the fried eggplant, and the spacious seating made it a comfortable place to dine. However, there is room for improvement, particularly in terms of the venue’s upkeep and parking arrangements. With some upgrades and attention to detail, this place could become an even more appealing destination for families and casual diners alike.

Fish was delicious, very large portion of pumpkin rice which sadly didn't have much flavour. Would have been nice if it had come with some coleslaw on the side. Very good menu, difficult to choose something as wanted to try everything. Will definitely be back when in the area.

Some of best Caribbean Seafood I’ve had in years!!! Taste really good, well seasoned and flavoured beautifully! I had deep fried prawns, pumpkin rice and Ackee and Salt-fish, Mac & Cheese and fried dumpling on the side, just for variety and everything done proper! And it was closing time when I got my order, so next time definitely is going to be just as good if not better!

Nice setup, great service & exceptional food. As a loyal customer for over 16 years, this restaurant remains my absolute favourite Turkish spot — not just in London, but anywhere. The lamb ribs and lamb chops are unmatched, seasoned to perfection, and bursting with flavour. Their sharing platters are ideal for group dining. If you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss the fresh kunefe — it’s best enjoyed with syrup added to your liking. Although it’s less crowded than it was a decade ago, the quality and richness of the flavours remain just as remarkable. Highly recommended!

Me,hubby and our daughter went there first time earlier on tonight. Perfect, secure parking. Marius he was an excellent gentleman,he was positive and gave us time to order,no rushing order,We ordered a 3 course meal,3 soups and "platou" the food, presentation, service was excellent, all our soup bowls where empty, thanks to chef and kitchen staff, you must try palinca and visibata before you dig in,plus Romanian beer. The family platter you must try, comes with mici(traditional Romanian sausage),pork shoulders, and all the sauces and mustard ,2 types of sides,we ordered Dauphines potatoes and vegetable rice. My daughter absolutely loved the homemade leonade, which was made to order, asking us how sweet ,or not, which I find excellent,as in other places they just make you a lemonade without asking you the options. Lastly we had our pudding called 'papanasi" it is 2 in a portion (big one),that is why we only ordered one portion for the 3 of us,is sweet pastry, either with chocolate or fruit filling or you can have 2 mixed and it comes with really nice cream. 100%we deffo go back. Really nice atmosphere, excellent food, customer service, highly recommend and price wise is good Shame I don't know how to upload photo

Was here to celebrate a friends birthday over the Easter weekend. Lovely place and atmosphere. Venue is great size to cater for a large party. Free parking for guests inside the premises and a lot of space for the kids to play outside. I wasn't sure if I heard a guest say there were swings outside? If so, that's great to keep kids entertained. Food was great too. I especially loved their roast steak and chicken with baby potatoes and sauted cabbage sauce. Will recommend 👌

Fine fusion is a great local restaurant. Starter: pepper prawns which was nice and spicy - great portion size! 2 mains: curry goat with rice + salad and sea bass with sweet rice. I’d say the sea bass was the star of the show! Very flavorful and left us wanting more. Service was quick and prices are affordable! Will return again, it’s lovely to have a great local restaurant! Cant wait to try the dessert menu next.

I recently dined at Kervan Restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was really good and more than enough for my friend’s family and me. The desserts were delightful and a perfect end to the meal. The service was also great, adding to our overall enjoyment. Highly recommend!

Kervan is an Amazing place to go. Right from the door you are welcomed with the biggest smiles and hearts that know what their quality offers. The ambiance of the rustic décor is really bright and yet so cozy. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly and attentive, making sure we thoroughly welcomed and not lacking comfort. So much space, and choices to seat. Really top clean environment. The menu offered a wide range of dishes and there is something for everyone with different dietary needs. Recommended is the Chef's Platter! Brilliant! The freshness of their meals is in the taste. The meal is worth almost a 2 hour drive to go to! No regrets at all. Even got free add ons! The staff are just incredible. Great for the individual, couple, family and that business team that needs good quality food to dine together! Noticed all customers were so settled and in a happy place. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a night out, this is one restaurant you must visit!

Went after a very long time with friends. They have refurbished and it looks really good! They've even got an outdoor garden area for guests to dine. We ordered a chefs special platter for the 3 of us and had some left overs! We also got complimentary bread, yogurt, salad and aubergine potato salad. The weather was good so we moved outdoors after food for tea and dessert. We ordered the kunafa and caramel milk cake. 10/10 Lovely food and lovely atmosphere.

Shakespeare Cafe Bistro

Rating: 4.1 (1019) Price Level:
This place has almost everything you need in an eaterie. It is very clean and very instagrammable! Very light and airy, well spaced tables and seating and oh so beautifully decorated. I ordered the hot chocolate and the BBQ chicken. They both came very quickly and was beautifully presented. The chicken was a little under seasoned but it was perfectly edible. Great parking available. I think it was a little expensive but the place looks absolutely stunning so it's probably justified. Would I come here again - well it wouldn't be my first choice but I would probably go with the majority if it came up in the group chat!🎉
Rating: 5 / 5
Shakespeare is one of the best places for breakfast. You can make your own unlike some restaurants with set menus. The staff are always friendly and attentive. Food comes out fast, milkshakes are nice. Parking is available and the prices are decent and the food portions are great value. Highly recommended.

Visited this store a few days ago with my sister. I will most definitely be coming back, the service was amazing. From the moment we entered we were catered to straight away and welcomed with such a nice presence. The cafe was very pleasing to the eye and very clean. Didn't take long to take our orders or deliver the food. No complaints from the food or the drinks. Toilets were also clean. What a lovely place to eat.
Rating: 5 / 5
I would definitely recommend Shakespeare Cafe Bistro to Family & Friends! We came for a birthday brunch and it was great. The decorations and ambience is 10/10 especially on Celebration Days such as Halloween. The customer service is impeccable, massive thanks to Nuray for looking after us. It is well priced and the food portions are enormous. I would definitely recommend the Halal Break or the Shakespeare Burger! And for drinks, the Passionfruit Mojito Mocktail.

Went here for the first time today with my work colleagues. The interior is absolutely gorgeous and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The menu is very extensive so it was hard to choose what to get, in the end I decided on the veggie breakfast. It was the best choice as it tasted delicious, looked amazing too. I thought the “sausage” was going to be one of the horrible fake meat ones but it was a proper veggie sausage, very well seasoned and tasty. Pity there was only one on the plate! I’d definitely return here to try another dish.
