What a gem. Great location and a real warm hearty environment. Everyone is super friendly and the coffees are exceptional. I'd always recommend the yogurt and granola as my go to breakfast. Plenty of other options too!

Urban Pantry

Rating: 4.7 (680) Price Level:

If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a fabulous breakfast, this is the place! I’ve sampled all of their ‘December Specials’ and was thoroughly impressed. The ‘Panettone French Toast’ was an unforgettable highlight! While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of service was excellent, and the ambience was simply charming. I highly recommend this place for a delightful and relaxing Sunday breakfast!

I’ve been for brunch here so many times, and have never been disappointed. The items on the regular menu are great, but they also keep things fresh with changing monthly specials. Definitely one of the best places to brunch in London

The menu rotates so what I share may not be available when you go, but just know that everything they serve is brilliant. The vibe is friendly and welcoming and the food is a balance between healthy and the comforting unhealthy dishes you want to tuck into. The mushroom and halloumi bap and the avo toast were the stand out dishes for me.

The service at urban pantry is excellent! Got a table for 7 in minutes with a smile and full of energy. The staff is polite and attentive, going above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience. Our server Victoria was kind, funny and very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the asparagus special and toasted banana bread👌🏼

On a Sunday morning, brunch was calling. We went to the pantry, as we heard it was fancy. We got there just in time, as there’s normally a line. Our dog could come in with us; she wouldn’t cause a fuss. I had a banging French toast, topped with a wobbly pannacotta. Ordered two flat whites to wash it down, (you just gotta). The others had the mushrooms and the avocado toast. I think my meal was best, I loved it the most. The servers were friendly, the prices weren’t bad. Got a sweetie with the bill, you can’t be mad. I’m not that good at poems, but they’re great at what they do. If they keep this standard up, I might get an Urban Pantry tattoo

The Waterman’s Arms

375 Lonsdale Rd, London SW13 9PY, UK | Pub
P: 020 4529 8970

Rating: 4.6 (543) Price Level:

Overall, a really lovely lunch. The food is executed extremely well. Some of the best roast potatoes I’ve ever had. My only qualm is the portion size. For £50, I would expect more than 1/2 a chicken for a sharing dish for 2 people (no sides included). I would absolutely return for the really delicious food and lovely service, but the portions felt just a bit lacking.

Lovley Sunday lunch with beautifully prepared Lamb served on the bone for you to carve at the table. Accompaniments were served as options you could choose. each one flavoursome and nicely prepared and presented. The roasties were crisp and fluffy on the inside, just right. Deserts were all homemade and tasty finishing the meal off perfectly. Lots of choice on wines, both red and white. My only slight criticism would be that the tables are packed close together, creating a slightly restricted seating arrangement, especially when people stand over you whilst you're eating. The waiting staff could have been more attentive, engaging, and approachable. All in all a lovely foodie experience you won't regret. My commendation to the kitchen staff for creating a modern take on a classic Sunday roast.

Booked in for a Sunday roast. Wine selection is lovely. The roast is a different spin on the classic we had the lamb for 2 which was so soft and delicious with a lovely sauce and plenty of meat. You then order sides, we had roasties, carrots and chicory all really tasty and some of the crispiest potatoes. Chocolate mousse for dessert was lovely too. Only criticism is the tables are very close together and can be very loud at peak times. Service is okay could be a little more attentive as we had to ask to order a couple of times.

Beautiful birthday lunch at the Waterman’s Arms. We’ve been meaning to try it since it reopened last Autumn, I wish we hadn’t left it so long! We started with a few of the smaller dishes - lemon sole, mackerel and aubergine. Followed by the pork collar as a main to share with chips and flat beans. The mackerel and sole were stand out and the chips, not sure what you put on them to get them so crispy but they were amazing! We then had the baked custard with cherries, wow, looks deceivingly simple but tastes unreal. A really well considered menu, £150 for 2 with 3 courses, drinks and wine.

Sam's Riverside

1 Crisp Rd, London W6 9DN, UK | Restaurant
P: 020 8237 1020

Rating: 4.7 (1075) Price Level:

I originally already given up on London restaurant, as I have bad experience on high prices with ridiculously bad service… But today it is my birthday so I decided to go and celebrate with myself and go to Sam’s, oh… but did it surprise me, with both service and food aline together, with really good staff and welcoming attitude that explain the menu and the questions I have on food, also with a birthday card… etc with all the little things adding up, makes it 101%. It gives you a warm feeling and I would definitely come back next time with some friends and family. With the meal, I have ordered Blue cheese Souffle with parmesan cheese churros, black chocolate Fondant and some red wine. If you haven’t been, I do highly recommend it. It definitely highlight my night especially it is my first years spending my birthday in London and at Sam’s, which I believe I have made the right choice. AD

We ordered a variety of starters and they all tasted great. The sourdough and Parm churros can be skipped. Mains were a bit disappointing. Haddock souffle was too heavy and there was nothing special about the steak. All the portions were a bit on the smaller side. The staff and service was amazing. The restaurant itself was a bit dim and loud.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Sam’s and we made the perfect decision. We saw it before when we were around this side of the Thames. The food was amazing and we felt like we were ready to explode at the end. The drinks were good and they have a really wide array of wine selection and they helped us in matching the perfect bottle for our meal. To top the experience, their level of service and attention to their clients make them stand out from other restaurants. We’ll definitely come back to try their other selection.

What a lovely restaurant by the riverside. Greeting by the manager All staff were professional, cheerful and on the ball. We were not rushed at all. I had the mussels for starter, Plaice for main with green beans and a dark chocolate dessert. Everything was tasty so compliments to the chef, I was completely full. Will definitely return.

Wonderful company, from a quick turnaround on the quotation to effective and professional installations and work the guys at Lux LDN delivered. Excellent service will for sure utilise their services again for future projects. The project lasted 4 days and was quite challenging but not once did the team look to cut corners or take the easy route, and most impressive their attitude throughout was spot on. Milo, Danny and Sam thank you for your work.

Replacing old lights with newer LED ones as well as some installation of new sockets. Excellent and professional work carried out by the guys. Very polite, friendly and punctual. They were clearly very experienced as they knew exactly what to do and cracked on with it without hesitation. Highly recommended.

First time using LuxLdn for a number of small fixes in a flat and would happily recommend/use again myself. Sam was friendly and helpful - was running early and gave me a call to check if coming early would suit me which was appreciated. Communication over the phone was also good with Danny - was clear about what I needed and pricing.

The Lux team are super efficient, clean and tidy. Great communicators on what needs doing and why, and gave really reasonable rates. They were able to provide flexible availability and on both visits, Sam and Danny were always polite and friendly. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing electrical work done.

Coach & Horses

27 Barnes High St, London SW13 9LW, UK | Pub
P: 020 8876 2695

Rating: 4.5 (669) Price Level:

Pub with a traditional atmosphere. Booked lunch there in early November and didn't realise there was a rugby game taking place at the local club (we weren't going to the game), however the local crowd was friendly and gave the place a nice buzz. Staff were attentive and although there were quite a few dishes which were not available on the menu (which is main reason for not giving 5 stars) the food was tasty and overall we enjoyed our time.

A good Youngs pub. Always better when they have Youngs Special on (see edit below). Can't speak about the food because I use it as a pub, not a restaurant. Nice to sit outside in one of the spacious booths in the old stables where the dray horses used to be quartered. Inside space is very small and intimate. Staff constantly changing, but usually young and friendly. Ib sponse to owner: you are right, Special has been available consistently lately. Was a problem a year or so ago when it seemed to be off a lot. Could also have been my bad luck! I'll give you your full quota of stars for this and the fact that Young's pubs still manage to retain some atmosphere and get loyalty in return from locals, something other brewery owned pubs could learn from.

We had the best time at our party yesterday all thanks to Sam (pub manager) and Violet (bartender) I could not speak highly enough of them. Great atmosphere great food and the best service. We rented the room at the back of the pub and I’m never doing parties anywhere else now. Thank you Coach and horses Team.

The shared Sunday roast was fantastic! My favourite was the chicken. The beef was too well done for us but it was because we forgot to tell them we wanted it pink. Ciro, the waiter was excellent. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their food and drinks. Highly recommended.

I hardly dare share this review in case I can't get a seat next time I go, but I just love this little cafe. Fabulous food and everything is prepared and served like they really care. Even the water tastes special. The soups are especially wonderful, and I don't mind paying a little more than usual because I feel it's absolutely worth it, and anyway, supporting independent businesses is very important. Forget those horrid corporate chains. Come here instead and enjoy the hands-on creative efforts of the lovely staff and don't buy all the muffins because there'd better be one left for me.

This is my family’s favourite cafe (including our dog!). The food here is amazing, everything is homemade and authentic. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. Our dog drags us to this cafe every time he goes past and does not leave until he gets a minimum of 10 treats. We go here at least once a week and our favourite dishes are the avocado and chicken salad, the homemade cakes (especially the tiramisu cake!!!), the berry smoothie, all of the chunky soups and the avocado on toast.

This is an absolutely awesome Thai restaurant that you should try when you are in this area. In fact I actually made a trip to try one of the best Thai food I could find! Went here after watching Dune Part 2 in the incredible Olympic Studios across the road. The staff were incredible and welcoming and the general hubbub of the restaurant made the experience feel warm. All the food was beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned and, most importantly, delicious! The service was quick and there were ample options for people who had dietary needs and there were plenty of equally delicious vegetarian options available. I am definitely going to come here again!

Forever one of my Top Thai restaurants. Great food, plenty of variety. Portion is filling, and great value. I think the staff could be a bit more welcoming. The woman who was serving us looked as if she did not want to be at work which made us feel a bit uneasy but the food adds to the experience. Amazing dishes. Will always return!
