Had a lovely stay here with my.wife. We traveled down for a 2 night stay and were made to feel so welcome by the owners. The chalets were comfortable and quiet and as huge animal lovers, the free roaming Guinea pigs were the icing on the cake. Thank you for being such great hosts.

Terrific pub with a really dedicated owner/ landlord. So much effort has been made to create several different areas where one can eat and / or drink. It's a large building with a cosy front bar and a very pleasant conservatory. Upstairs is a library where food and drinks can be taken. Very smart! Various outdoor seating places and 2 verandas There are chalets to stay in, too. Food is homemade and of good quality. Good ingredients and large portions. Very reasonable prices. Good beer and other drinks. Regulars are very friendly and good fun. Good welcoming atmosphere, too. It's very clean, and all areas are well maintained as well as being interesting to be in. The landlord is really friendly and helpful. Just one sad note, it's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays out of season. The village is rural and small. However, it's very pretty and the pub is definitely worth the trip!!! Highly recommend and will stay there if we return to the area. Thanks to everyone who made us feel happy to be there!'

Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights for my birthday and the owners made it very special and defiantly one to remember. As soon as you walk in it feels like a homely, family atmosphere and we received such a warm welcome. The food is lovely and the beds are so comfy. We will defiantly be returning as we feel we have made very good friends. Thanks again guys Dan and Sophie :)

Lovely lil cafe. Had an Americano and a flapjack to go from here. Emily and John were on shift I must say both were very welcoming, friendly & extremely helpful. A “rare find” as AirBnB often says! An old school cafe, with personal service at reasonable/fair prices. It’s not often that you can buy an Americano for £2.20 these days! And their menu has a wide range of sandwiches and/or toasties. Nothing fancy, but great value and a friendly welcome.

I recently visited the Seven Stars Inn, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The staff and their service were outstanding, making me feel truly welcomed with their warmth and attentiveness. I ordered a chicken curry meal, chips, and wings as a takeaway, and as an Indian, I was amazed by the flavors—it was so delicious that I almost fell in love with the food. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing hospitality paired with excellent cuisine!

What a wonderful experience visiting the Seven Stars Inn Wool, Moreton, Dorchester restaurant. The food was first class cooked with love and care by a really good head chef and his brigade. Couldn't fault the food in any way what so ever good flavours, textures and presented very well. A really great dining experience which I will remember for a long time. The front of house staff very very friendly, professional providing a great service to compliment the kitchen Definitely worthy of a 5 star review and I would definitely recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant and I hope I will be back here myself.

It was amazing. The dinner was really yummy. Huge portion, we had the steal & ale pie with chips and veggies. The meat was sooo tender, juicy and full of flavour. We stayed for one night in the little rooms they have in their fields. Very cozy and cute. Clean toilets and the shower was working really well. A nice warm bath after a hike to the beach. Breakfast was included, a nice english breakfast. I loved the sausages, very flavourfull. We had some tea or a coffee plus the Orange juice. I asked the staff if we could feed the pigs some apples that were in the floor and she said yes, very cute piggies! The staff is very kind and helpfull.

Very fresh selection of seafood. Generous portions too. Had the white bait, the cod fish and chips as well as the mussels. Very impressed by the freshness and quality. Batter for the cod is very light and crisp. The cod was delicious and had the right texture, and ratio of cod:batter. The black mussels were very sweet and I enjoyed it very much when paired with fresh bread. Service was very organised. All in all a great experience and I’d definitely bring my friends here when we drive down to the south coast again.

What a lovely place! We stayed here for 1 night. The room was so cozy and clean, the shower was fantastic. Sunday roast dinner and bread pudding after were absolutely delicious. Continental breakfast in the morning, which was free, had a great variety and assortment of yummy things. The stuff was very courteous and pleasant. Highly recommend!

Lovely place, nice spacious rooms with air conditioning, decent telly and comfortable bed. Very clean and tidy, with a nice powerful shower. I really had to dig deep to find any fault with the place, and the only thing I did find wrong was that the toilet roll holder was was a bit loose. The continental breakfast had a good range of food, and was a nice way to start the day.

My bestie Jane and I visited Moreton church, a beautiful tranquil place. We decided to be ladies that lunch and stopped at the Frampton Arms where we had a lovely lunch. The pub has a charming atmosphere, where the staff are chatty, friendly and our food was delicious and at a reasonable price, well worth a visit.

On arrival, after making a online booking, we were nearly turned away as staff said there was no reservations in our name, we had to prove it was booked from our online correspondence. Staff then found us a table, but advised us we had to go because that table was booked out at a certain time. We had our main meal, but didn't have a desert as we would have outstayed our welcome, only to find that upon leaving most of the restaurant was practicly empty, very disappointing. Apart from the above, the food and service was very good.

Just had a two night stay here at this beautifully presented pub/b&b. Staff were friendly and helpful, always polite. Room was clean and had everything we needed. It’s on the train line which doesn’t feel intrusive. The food was really nice in the evenings (didn’t eat lunch there), we were a big group one evening and there were two small issues but they were sorted. The first morning, arrived to breakfast and it wasn’t ready and staff didn’t know why, they quickly sorted it out tho. The only downside for us was breakfast, as there is no hot option.

Staff are okay, not overly friendly, but not not nice. Always quick service, reasonable prices, and nice hot cafe style drinks and cake/ pastries. It's not a fancy place, it's a casual place to chill. Good with a child/ baby. And good before/ after a walk round the great field. We got a hot drink each and a croissant.

Excellent place to go for warm and freshly-made food and drinks. It's at a great location and when the park opens up, it will be the ideal spot for everyone. Definitely recommend going. We booked a table for 9 for a special birthday. It was very busy so definitely book ahead but even with a full restaurant we had wonderful service, all of the team were smiling and clearly happy to work there. The wait for food was not too long and it was hot and served quickly, great menu with something for everyone. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a wonderful evening…food, drinks, service and atmosphere were all 5 star. Well done to all of the team at the Countryman, we will be back again soon. Great to have such a wonderful country pub close by.

Today we have had a lovely family celebration lunch at the Countryman, it was truly excellent. The quality of the local produce used and the care taken in cooking and serving it is a very refreshing change these days. The prices are extremely reasonable and really hope this great team continue to succeed and survive these very tough times, in what from personal experience we know to be a very tough business. Warm and welcoming. Great hidden rustic country pub. Excellent food, atmospheric and good beer selection. Accommodation has good sized rooms, comfortable bed and clean. Rooms are scheduled to be upgraded shortly according to the manager (Nov 24). Next time I visit the area, this is were I'm heading....

What an absolutely delightful experience! Brilliant experience, camped one night and we were welcomed from the start! Ate in the pub and met the owners and staff that were very friendly and made us feel at home. Stayed 3 nights ago. Beautiful pub. Location was great. Room was perfect for my wife, my son & I. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was 11/10 - was superb. The people were so friendly and helpful - well beyond most locations. Highly recommend The Red Lion.

My family and I had lunch here, we all really enjoyed our meals. 4 of us had roasts and 2 of us had burgers. The chips were really nice. The hostess was absolutely lovely, really kind, funny and lifted the mood. The young waiters seemed quite new and unfortunately there was a bit of a wait for drinks and the bill, and drinks were a bit expensive (£4.20 for a coke). However, I loved the atmosphere of the pub, it was really pretty and nice and quiet where we sat. Got to see lots of dogs! Wi-Fi is an added bonus :) I would recommend coming here, very good for a large group too.

We are staying at a small campsite not far away and this is the nearest pub so headed down Thursday for a drink with the dog to check it out. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming and the food looked amazing so we booked a table for Friday evening. Again everyone was friendly, service was good, the dog was made to feel very welcome too, she was offered a dog bed and given her own doggy menu so it’s super dog friendly which is always a bonus. The food was absolutely delicious, between us we had the smoked pork board and the smoked beef board and really enjoyed it. Always nice to be made welcome when away. We would definitely return if in the area again.

It was so lovely when I went in, I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while. My server was a lovely girl with an amazing attitude and she was so sweet. The food was delicious and we got everything we asked for nice and quickly. The atmosphere of the pub was amazing and super relaxed and calming. All in all it was an amazing experience.

We hadn’t book as travelling through the town. Used to go here a lot when younger. Our waitress was called Rhiannon whom was so very helpful and no questions regarding the meal was a problem. Waitress sorted our drinks promptly and often popped back to make sure everything was ok. Have recommended to friends and look forward to another visit in the future.

Ordered food through the website on my phone, really easily. Service of food and drinks was quick, and both staff members were so friendly and accommodating, really genuine too. We sat outside to eat while the kids played on the park, was perfect and safe. Lovely pub, food was excellent too. Mostly acceptable food but very good prices! My burgers in their bun were overcooked and burnt to a crisp on their edges, but I was so hungry I didn't mind it too much! Had they been more expensive, I would have complained... The fries were tasty, and the halloumi fries were excellent. Their portion sizes are not excessive, so if you like lots of food on your plate, you'll need to look seriously at the sides and extras. My friend had the Hunters Chicken. It, too, was overcooked, and it had very little cheese and bbq sauce with it. Luckily, there was plenty of mayo to help it go down. You can see how they keep their prices down, but the food was fairly tasty, and I'll give it another chance. I'll go again.
