Had a lovely time with my Sister & Daughter. Celebrating my Sisters 60th birthday. We had a warm welcome even though we were early the staff were very accommodating. Food was lovely and bottomless drinks cold and hot to be had. The only thing that was lacking was some soft music in the background would give it more atmosphere.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Fleur de Thé - we coincidentally came on the first day of their Christmas menu, so we blindly had the Christmas Croque Monsieur and the Turkey sage and onion stuffing sourdough sandwich. The Christmas Croque Monsieur was gorgeously decadent - a cheese lovers dream! You absolutely will not need to eat any more, it is so filling in the best way possible. My mother enjoyed the turkey sandwich. Lovely atmosphere, service was prompt, only downside was they ran out of the gluten free cake because it was so popular. Highly recommend this place, lovely to have it in Medway, and will return. It initially seems expensive for Medway but the quality is excellent and so worth it.

We visited @smoque at the Rochester location and the burgers were delicious 🤤 The owners John & his partner were lovely and very welcoming I had the Smoque with a QC burger Hubby had the Grim Reaper burger and we had loaded fries with pulled pork and bbq sauce The burgers were fully loaded and so filling the loaded fries were yummy but the portion size was smaller then what we have had at other places and more expensive, you also had to pay extra if you want additional toppings To drink I had the Baileys chocolate milkshake & hubby had the cider Overall it was yummy 😋 and we recommend 💯 Look at the smile on my face 😂

Great food. We had the smashin burger and it was DELICIOUS. unfortunately burgers don’t come with fries. The restaurant is lovely and the staff is super nice. The place is a bit small, they don’t have many tables so I would recommend to book before going.

Had burgers with my family at Smoqe few times and it was delicious every time. We wouldn’t go to have burger anywhere else In Medway but there. Booking is easy and staff is amazing, nothing is too hard for them to make you feel comfortable and happy. Interiors are stylish and clean which is very important to us. We will definitely be back and i highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited one evening and popped in with the hope of getting a table without booking. The owners were friendly, welcoming, and couldn't do enough to help. They were genuine people, and this definitely added to our experience. I was on a strict diet, and they helped cater to my needs without issue. Another plus! When the food arrived, I can honestly say it was one of the nicest burgers I have ever tasted. Everything was cooked with time and care, it certainly showed in every meal. We will definitely be back for more when next in Rochester. This is a real gem of a restaurant that needs the support of all! Highly recommended 👌 Update - we visited again 05.10.24 and had another fantastic meal. Salads were delicious and staff very friendly, just as our first visit. We'll definitely be back!

Another great breakfast at this local cafe on The Delce,Rochester. Packed out on Mother's Day but they remained cheery and still served up some great traditional fry ups, omelettes and more. Perfect fried breakfast today 08/02/24. Crispy Bacon 🥓 mmm. 18/07/24 Took my aunt in for lunch and also got a nice takeaway pie, mash and peas for another relation. The portion was very large and was only £7.50

Café Nucleus Rochester

Halpern Conservancy Board Building, 15 High St, Rochester ME1 1PY, UK | Restaurant
P: 01634 406971

Rating: 4.5 (980) Price Level:

This restaurant is STUNNING. My favourite place I’ve been to so far in Rochester. The only downside (for me) was the lack of main meal options. I’m not a fan of meat, and they only had meat options. The chef did end up making me a vegetarian option which was a cauliflower steak with roasted veg, which was really lovely of him. But I would love for a chicken option. The bruschetta was the best thing I’ve ever flipping tasted like OH MY. And the staff are WONDERFUL.

What a lovely place for Saturday brunch in Rochester. Very good menu options, including vegan and gluten-free. I enjoyed my pea and mint soup, and the staff was very attentive to my food intolerance. My friend enjoyed vegetarian truffle pastry with veg and mashed potatoes. Very nice and clean restaurant, lovely ambient and staff.

Great place for authentic Italian food. The pizzas and other food ordered like risotto were very well presented and tasted good. All fresh produce, the service was relaxed and friendly. Good wine selection. It's great for large groups or lone diners. Reasonabley priced too. Clean and well presented. Definitely would recommend visiting here.

Located in Rochester town. This was a perfect place for a brunch getaway. The place is beautiful, the atmosphere is luxurious but relaxing. The service was spot on. Of course the food was nice and the produce was fresh. I couldn't fault this place. It's slightly pricey, but you pay what you get for. Highly recommended and will definitely get back. It's one of my new top places.

Very lovely atmosphere for dining out! Excellent service and food was just magnificent. The menu is very versatile and has many options, lots of drinks to choose from too which was great. We didn't have to wait long and the staff made sure we have everything we need. One of the best places to go to if you want a cosy yet exquisite evening. The location is close to Rochester castle so if you want you can have a nice walk after dinner. Me and my partner enjoyed every second. Definitely coming back again for brunch next time!

A lovely place on the first floor. Extremely friendly staff and a great selection of food. We came for some Afternoon Tea : the homemade sandwiches were absolutely delicious, the scones were perfect and the cakes were maybe a little too much by the end but nonetheless great. If one thing could be improved it's the choice of drinks with the afternoon tea (only one type of coffee or tea) but that's only a small note. Would recommend without doubt!

This was delightful! Hidden away above the shops is a quaint little café that boasts traditional English food and quality service. Just perfect for a cold winter’s day - warmed by a hot cup of tea, delicious tuna melt and cake. I can thoroughly recommend this place, even if you have to wait on the stairs - it’s worth it. I shall definitely be returning!

We popped in for hot chocolate. It was late in the day and they were close to closing but still welcomed us. If you're going to have hot chocolate, have the posh one ( see photos ) it tastes as good as it looks. I also had a slice of coffee cake, delish! They do afternoon teas and after this little sample , that is definitely on the cards. The staff were all polite, smart and efficient. The venue is upstairs so has a narrow entrance, find the bright pink sweet shop in the high street turn around and you'll see the entrance.

I had the No 4 on the set menu and the food was tasty and good value . The bubble, egg, sausage, bacon, black pudding, mushrooms, beans and toast was spot on. I hosted my partners 30th here and it was such a great venue! The food was great and they catered for gluten free. Their in house DJ was really good and everyone has such a good time! They even went out of their way to go to the shops to buy a certain spirit that my mum drinks!! Thank you again! (We have also eaten here separately to the party as well and know the food is nice!)

Really beautiful inside and out, lovely cleans and bright inside. Outside has the most beautiful view of the river and so hidden away that I have only just came across this lovely place through a friend. enjoyed a glass of red. The staff are very friendly and guided me through the menu. I would like to see more for plant based/ vegans such as the mushrooms could very easily have the cheese sauce separate, so that it could be an option for vegans or non vegans. I had chips, veggie Indian style barji like things that were nice, olives and bread. My friend got the Sunday carvery and really enjoyed the options. The vegan pies where finished or I would of got the same. I'm still unsure about parking as I did see a few restrictions due to being near the station so would have to call up about that. There are a few designated spaces. Overall would definitely come back with a group of friends 😊

The Cheese Room Botanicals

60 High St, The Precinct, Rochester ME1 1JY, UK | Restaurant
P: 01634 845270

Rating: 4.6 (473) Price Level:

First time visiting The Cheese Room and it did not disappoint. The menu was a set one 2 course £27 or 3 courses for £34. You could also choose toasted sandwiches and lighter lunches. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We were able to settle down and browse the menu without being interrupted. We had the 2 courses and had Beef Roast with Yorkshire pudding and amazing potaotes, veg was carrots, parsnip, beetroot and squash all roasted. We also ordered cauliflower cheese which is £6 for 2 people. It was lovely to have cauliflower that was cooked and not raw. The pudding we had was out of this world and couldn't fault anything, we had the cheesecake. It was more on the expensive side than i would usually pay, but it was so worth it. Service charge of 10% is automatically added and this is advertised on their website. Was a lovely experience but would recommend booking.

Being a cheese lover myself I was excited to visit this place. The Cheese Room, located near Rochester Castle, is a charming restaurant specializing in all things cheese. The venue is in an old building with both indoor and outdoor seating, which adds to its character. We opted to sit outside, but the tables are a bit small, especially since the plates are quite large. The menu offers a great variety of cheeses, and we enjoyed the British Cheese Board and I tried the pesto sourdough sandwich. The food was good, but the service could have been more organized. It took a while to receive the menu, and when it came time to pay, we ended up going to the bar as we were in a hurry. The ladies' toilet, while clean, is quite small and a bit tricky to find. Overall, despite a few minor issues, we had a lovely time and would recommend it for cheese lovers!

Visited on a Sunday for my Daughter’s birthday and had a great time . Large selection on the menu including non cheese . I had British Cheese board , my daughter continental board , Mrs C Camembert and youngest Fish & Chips with some sides was an excellent start. Very extensive drinks menu and we finished with dessert and I have to say the Sticky Toffee pudding was the best I had . For 5 of us including service £180. Staff very friendly and attentive and would definitely visit again .

Dinner with friends at this restaurant last Saturday. Lovely restaurant on 3 floors with spiral staircase unfortunately food didn't live up to the tasteful decor of the restaurant - both my starter and main course were bland and the lemon meringue pie was an overwhelming portion of sweet meringue and very little lemon to balance it! Our Waitress Barbara was an absolute delight which is why I have rated 4* overall

Have walked past loads of times thinking "should go there some time" now after going I think what was I thinking not going sooner! Fantastic food, fairly priced. The Seabas ceviche I had is genuinely one of the nicest things I've eaten in a very long time. My Hake from the specials was great as was my wife's scallops starter and hake with muscles and clams. Fish cooked to perfection 👌 We never had deserts as was too stuffed but what we saw come out for others looked equally as good. Can't wait to go back. Keep up the great work.
